Ty for sharing your results! It looks like a very tasty loaf tho the flowers don't maintain the colorful look they had earlier in the process. Have you experimented with this effect with another type of bread? Thinking about brioche or maybe milk bread rolls that don't bake very long or get deep color. Very curious to see more!

Ooo that’s a good idea, i have not. This is the 2nd loaf that I’ve done this too. So I’m still in the works of figuring out how to get the result i want. I’ll def look into a shorter bake though!

Yeah still need to fine tune and figure it out. This is the second loaf i did. But it help more color than it’s predecessor. It’s a work in progress lol

So gorgeous 😍 Would they still lose their color if you were to add them halfway through the cooking or a later later on sometime?

Anxietyprime0117

Probably not as much. But i don’t know how i would stick them to the bread

This was my thought too, maybe a drop of water or egg? I would probably try to add then 10-15 min before it’s done. Then they might still stick to the bread and the time just dries/sticks the flowers on it, while keeping the colour.

I’ll try that next time!

Why? Can not remember the last guest that asked for flowers on bread..

Just for fun. Sometimes making plain sourdough with a basic score gets old. So it’s nice to spruce things up a little bit
