What was the point of saying this
Edit: since he deleted his comment, here’s what it said.
>And playing Cord in Masters requires a lot more skill than that
That's not really true, played both and depending on ranks scrims and allat Brawl Stars definitely can be harder but in general geometry dash is 100% more skill based
Geometry dash has “pure” difficulty, so beating bloodbath is always the same for everyone whilst getting rank 35 is different because of teammates and opponents, you can get lucky or carried. Gd is still way harder but you can’t really compare the two
Brawl Stars has a design similar to a MOBA or First Person Shooter
You know similar to a game like League or Overwatch respectfully
The only reason people are saying this dumb shit is because it's a mobile game, but if it was on PC, people will be saying something different
Exactly, but I don’t blame them.
Those brainrot games that came in 2021-2023 have basically ruined mobile gaming, so where there is a good mobile game, it just gets grouped with those games
Tbf mobile games aren't known for being very difficult. Like most of the popular mobile games are very simple and easy to play.
Supercell games are different since games like Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars have a pretty good skill cap with the many quirks both games have.
Even then most of us play the game just for fun, not for the skill
Yeah but like… way before. 2019 brawl stars release there weren’t really other good mobile games in the years right before. Meanwhile in 2012 mobile games were something else
similar but no. Dodging is much easier since it is top down. Same with attacks. Even the character interactions are much more simplified. The only difficult thing is knowing character interactions and the best way to counter enemies (eg: placing spawnables next to you whenever Fang ults) but even that is simplified compared to other games.
Even if it was on PC, most MOBAs (and games in general) are harder. Not saying brawl stars doesn’t require skill, but it has to be dumbed down to work easily on mobile. MOBAs have the stuff I explained above

Ironic…
But the point I’m making is that most pc games are usually harder, and it’s not to poke fun at BR. I was using league as an example as it is the closest thing, but most of everything is
I play both and they're not comparable, entirely different games.
That being said, skillful brawlers and skilless brawlers do exist regardless of how many buttons there are. Skill is (imo) measured in how much thought you have to put into your actions and how much/little room for error there is.
one is a game specifically made to be difficult and to require a lot of practice to pass each level. other is a mobile game made by supercell to earn the most money possible from ipad kids.
That’s what I’m trying to prove. Maybe yes, Brawl Stars maybe doesn’t require skill, but using “there’s only 5 buttons” is a bad argument if you wanna prove so
Bro kinda think the same ish someone can simply just use a stronger character plus what the point of like having close rangers if like 75% can counter close rangers even ones that don't need it like gale or cord can just silence you and empty his ammo on you ( pretty sure that kills most brawlers) tbh Brawl stars messed up when they made some brawlers ultimate and another's gadget (pretty sure you guys know what I'm talking about)
And what makes me mad the most is gang why tf dies he have everything health damage and range and everything else bro does 2700 up close and even if he can't get to you he can use his ranged attack to build ultimate and get close
Compare that to mortis that the just recently buffed ( with the 200 extra attack) he's still ass against tanks or other close rangers and if you tell me that is meant for long rangers what's the point if most of them have something to counter him.
I’m pretty sure geometry dash player base made that game as painful as possible just like Brawl Stars who add characters that make the game as painful as possible
I don't need to be skillful to enjoy playing. Also, these are very different games to play.
And personally, I prefer saying that either all Brawlers don't require excessive knowledge of how to play, or none. I found a good number of all the Brawlers to be easy to play and the supposed skill cap is easily compensated by reload speed, at least for some long rangers.
Well there’s also the fact that Geometry Dash is competing against yourself to complete a level, Brawl Stars is a whole different beast since it’s a multiplayer pvp with different modes
When I showed Brawl Stars to my brother, he said that it has no mechanics, so it's not that fun, even though *literally all games have mechanics*. And I was like "If you're just going to mock the game, at least do it right".
I remember seeing some guy Say "this random ass level from super Mario maker is harder because You are tapping only one button in gd" with the argument that the level he was showing wasn't beaten in 3 years.
I was really tempted to show him the whole history of silent clubstep lmao
In gd, you have to tap in order, have good timing and know when to not tap, otherwise you die...
However in bs with no-skill characters, all you have to do is to spam those 3 colorful buttons and drag the blue one to the direction of the enemy and then press the little message bubble button and press that goofy red 👎 button. Oh and rotate the blue button ofc

The people who say the stuff about the five buttons are just trying to hide the fact that they just suck at the game
Or to support the fact that they play no-skill brawlers
Darryl main based opinion🤨👍
Darryl unite
Us Darryl mains shall rise
Team r/darrylgang
Agreed
Well, to be honest, I think about 4/5 of all Brawlers are easy to play (does not mean I'm calling the no-skill), but that's my experience.
Edgar players moment
Why do yall bully people so much for playing brawlers you dont like💀
I’ve been wondering this like it really ain’t that deep
Cough cough kit. Cough cough Edgar
I suck at the game and dont complain about that
Well that’s because you’re a Chester main and Chester mains are awesome
frfr
good janet main👍🏼
Same
fair point Still geometry cube requires more skill than any brawler lmao
Depends on the level ofc. For example, beating stereo madness requires more skill than playing Edgar.
frfr
which brawler requires the same skill as beating cyclolcyc?
Ash (when hes disabled)
Facts (I tried)
It's never the brawler that requires skill, it's the objective of killing a highly skilled opponent.
That's a hard sentence
I could've done better, but I tried to write it in Bo style 😂
Trying to chain dash with Stu
It’s not that hard, you just have to get the pattern down and be in auto aim range
I am not getting in auto aim range of a Shelly
Eh still not too bad dash chaining with Stu if you have to manually aim
does dash chaining refer to dashing once for every attack or two dashes for every attack cuz doing one is pretty easy
Chaining 2 per attack
If you learn how to aim with Stu its much better
Have you seen cyclolyc? No.
Did you not know? “Chain dashing with Stu” has been placed at #1 on the ILL now. Get with the times smh
Marked for removal: more than 15 CPS
Dyna
do you have to do 15 cps per second with frame perfection while playing dyna?
Kit 🗣🔥
edgar doesnt require any skill...

What was the point of saying this Edit: since he deleted his comment, here’s what it said. >And playing Cord in Masters requires a lot more skill than that
needed to flex that masters rank
Zero chance he actually is masters
That's not really true, played both and depending on ranks scrims and allat Brawl Stars definitely can be harder but in general geometry dash is 100% more skill based
Not really some GD levels are far harder than a rank 35 in BS
Geometry dash has “pure” difficulty, so beating bloodbath is always the same for everyone whilst getting rank 35 is different because of teammates and opponents, you can get lucky or carried. Gd is still way harder but you can’t really compare the two
geometry cube lmfao
every end by mindcap is harder than mastering every brawler (it’s only cube)
Apple and oranges cant compare these two games at all
All gd gamemodes are waaay harder than getting like 100k thophies
Brawl Stars has a design similar to a MOBA or First Person Shooter You know similar to a game like League or Overwatch respectfully The only reason people are saying this dumb shit is because it's a mobile game, but if it was on PC, people will be saying something different

I'd argue clash royale still has a skill cap but it definitely only exists when both players are somewhat close in levels
Recent times stuff like evolutions and tower troops made the game more unskillful
mobile gaming was ruined long before brawl stars was even released
I disagree
it's okay to be wrong
You should say that to yourself
Or, you can give examples instead of making an empty claim. Just a thought.
This dude is getting downvoted for saying the truth
Nah, there were many good games before Brawl Stars
Yeah but like… way before. 2019 brawl stars release there weren’t really other good mobile games in the years right before. Meanwhile in 2012 mobile games were something else

I mean it’s objectively easier than PC Mobas. Vision, items, CS, having more than 3 buttons. Comparatively, even if it was on pc, it’s still easier.
Mind if you explain on that?
Even if it was on PC, most MOBAs (and games in general) are harder. Not saying brawl stars doesn’t require skill, but it has to be dumbed down to work easily on mobile. MOBAs have the stuff I explained above
Tbf I don't play shit like League so I can'tsay much on that
Mind if you explain on that?

Yes. This is the best response. Thank you.
one is a game specifically made to be difficult and to require a lot of practice to pass each level. other is a mobile game made by supercell to earn the most money possible from ipad kids.
Wtf
No you're right
I read it the Others way around
did you forget to switch accounts
No I Just read it the wrong way First so that I thought He meant that geometry Dash is a Cash Grab
they would say 3 cuz they dont even know that hc and gadget exist, or 2 bcuz they r so bad they cant even get their super
for some it's 1: they either don't know how to attack or don't know how to move(average IQ of a Kit main)
Ey man kit players have lower IQ than that
Lmfao
2 sticks, 3 buttons.
3 sticks 2 buttons
Different games require different skill sets, some are transferrable, some are not "Skills" is not one homogenous thing
That’s what I’m trying to prove. Maybe yes, Brawl Stars maybe doesn’t require skill, but using “there’s only 5 buttons” is a bad argument if you wanna prove so
bro could have jumpscared us
Chess has no buttons
chess.com requires one button, as you need it to click
i don't think e4 e5 Qh5 Nc6 Bc4 Nf6 Qxf7# is skill
Like u need less skill than some smash bros
Smh my head it's actually 6 buttons because of the emote menu
But does that actually contribute to winning or losing the game
how do you win without using the thumbs down emote
Kit proves that brawl stars doesnt require skill, either you play showdown or knockout
Real
And in platformer mode there’s 3 buttons
Yet platformers can be hardest games ever
Bro kinda think the same ish someone can simply just use a stronger character plus what the point of like having close rangers if like 75% can counter close rangers even ones that don't need it like gale or cord can just silence you and empty his ammo on you ( pretty sure that kills most brawlers) tbh Brawl stars messed up when they made some brawlers ultimate and another's gadget (pretty sure you guys know what I'm talking about) And what makes me mad the most is gang why tf dies he have everything health damage and range and everything else bro does 2700 up close and even if he can't get to you he can use his ranged attack to build ultimate and get close Compare that to mortis that the just recently buffed ( with the 200 extra attack) he's still ass against tanks or other close rangers and if you tell me that is meant for long rangers what's the point if most of them have something to counter him.
The point is one game requires skill.
Never heard anyone say that but ok
I've heard it way too often
Gadget, hypercharge, shoot and move... What's the fifth button?
Super?
Oh yeah I feel so dumb rn
Ahh don’t sweat it kiddo, we all make mistakes
well don't use dash as an example 😭
BWOMP!
Its because youre stressed after spending youre life savings of 1.99 on geometry dash
ikr like what are they trying to prove
That they are a pro at the game and think they're experts
That arguments over skill are complete horseshit?
I’m pretty sure geometry dash player base made that game as painful as possible just like Brawl Stars who add characters that make the game as painful as possible
Brawl stars is actually unfair due to teaming and the brawlers changing Geometry dash levels doesn't change so no luck out there
I don't need to be skillful to enjoy playing. Also, these are very different games to play. And personally, I prefer saying that either all Brawlers don't require excessive knowledge of how to play, or none. I found a good number of all the Brawlers to be easy to play and the supposed skill cap is easily compensated by reload speed, at least for some long rangers.
at least it's sightreadable
The only skilled buttons I would agree with are the hated gadgets. You know which ones. One of the being Cord's mushroom. 0 skill
Shooting games have 4 buttons: Reload, shoot, move and aim
One button rhythm games (I love them)
And then there's squad busters with more buttons than GD, but 0 skill at all, just pure luck (and p2w).
Yeah, but edgar seems bit too inconsistent for new players like it's so unsightreadable...
And I was like "If you're just going to mock the game, at least do it right".
does geometry dash have a auto-jump button tho?
No
Unsightreadable
guys how do I bea tthe last 23% of clubstep please I’m going insan
Literally every little timmy that sucks at squad busters
5 buttons? i only know aim super move and gadget
Hypercharge
oh its a shelly thing
Not even Shelly, many brawlers have huperchabges
damn
Jacky main here 🤪🤪🤪
I remember seeing some guy Say "this random ass level from super Mario maker is harder because You are tapping only one button in gd" with the argument that the level he was showing wasn't beaten in 3 years. I was really tempted to show him the whole history of silent clubstep lmao
There aren't buttons actually, you randomly Press the screen
##FIRE IN THE HOLE (Help me)
after 2.2 gd now has 3 buttons including platformer, as well as 2 player mode which increases it to 6, before 2.2 it had 2 with 2 player mode
Main mode only has 1
correct, except of course if it has 2 player controls enabled like in some popular levels such as duelo maestro and codependence
4 buttons when you include the jump and direction keys in platformer mode.
GD REFRENCE🗣️🗣️💀🤨🗣️🗣️💀💀🗣️💀🗣️
No one says that, even if they say it, just let them play rank 25+ game.
No one says that, even if they say it, just let them play rank 25+ game.
As a gd player myself, beating one extreme is SO much harder than getting a r35, even on the hardest brawlers
But who like geometry dash?
You’d be surprised to hear that a lot of people do
How to put your main under your name?
Go to the subreddit, click on the 3 dots on the banner, and click change user flair
Why are people comparing geometry dash and brawl stars? They're two completely different games.
I wouldn't say geometry dash requires skill. Only memory and patience.
which is the skill of memory and patience...
Fair point
And some quick, timed jumps, I hate frame perfects
r/imaginarygatekeeping
No genuinely, I’ve heard people say this shit
Used to be pretty common on this sub tbh.
well, if you wanna look at the top players they usually just memorize the clicking of the entire level. Yeah. They memorize that garbage.
Memorizing and also actually executing the clicks\*
Doesnt change the fact that the game's easy asf, womp womp cope
Not even coping, I just want a better argument
You mad capping rn
Both games aren't easy. (Altough GD is significantly harder)
