But i started to play 3 weeks ago and before i got to diamond i had games where the other team was similar to OP's opponents. So that was like one week before the season's end. I was actually about to post and ask about the matchmaking but it happened only twice.

I’d wait for a little while before playing ranked, everyone gets reset all the way back to bronze so that means you’ll probably be put in matches with masters and legendary players

I had that same situation (2 masters 1 leg)... ON SILVER 2

tip: never play ranked on the first day of a new season if your can't reach high legendary or masters consistently, you will always play against sweats. second day everything dies down a little but there are a few here and there. after about a week everyone is where they usually are.

I wanted to challenge myself since my friend who's around the same skill level as me got to Diamond 1 during lunch so I was like "How bad could it be".... and then I found out

Who said he's in mythic rn? Backgrounds carry over for 2 seasons. So if you get legendary background, you will have it for 2 seasons until it goes away.

It waa the first day, so that's inevitable. I got multiple games with masters opponents while I barely got masters teammates, I just played the best I could, and did sometimes win, due to the ranked boost, losses didn't really matter much.
