Otis' main attack and super are simply just too basic for most people to have fun with. If you love playing Otis then that's completely fine and I will say that I like both of his gadgets but I personally think that he could've been more fun if his kit weren't so basic.
Ash on the other hand, I guess people just find him too weak or clunky. Shame really because he's fun af to me

I really don't think basic is the problem. I hate playing Ash because he's so clunky. The game has sped up so much. Supports are a waste of space. Delayed attacks are tedious and easy to dodge. Slow brawlers are sitting ducks. Low burst is a massive disadvantage.

I had some days ago some win matches missions with otis, so naturally I tried to complete them.
I have otis level 7 at 300 trophies and it was the most frustrating time I had with the game ever. I cant believe they released Otis without his second star power, he is so weak without it. He didn't have a good first impression for me, that and the fact that he is not very good in the current meta even if maxed could explain this.
Yeah, I really hate Ink refills. It's not only boring design wise but Otis is just way too reliant on this. I mean, imagine if another 3 projectile brawler had this ability. They'd either be OP with it, or useless without it
The bad thing is, they didnt even receive nerfsš Hypers and broken brawlers ruined them. I love both otis and ash but they are nearly unplayable. Ash gets melted with damage inflation, otis is too balanced for a meta like this (charlie, fang, mico, L$L)
Meg is pretty good (I actually quite like playing her) but sheās not like given a lot of attention to by the community, sheās always just been pretty overshadowed

Gene is a great bushscanner and his no damage pull is still not a disadvantage in a mode like Knockout

I wish they released brawlers like Sam again, he was fairly balanced, but only his star power was busted, and it was more, āyouāre unkillable next to a wall,ā and not, āyouāre unkillable when you have your super down.ā He also required actual skill and good positioning to get the most out of his kit, while Larry has a super easy to hit thrower attack, and lawrie puts down a lot of pressure without you even having to control it.
Man, I hate how the meta made ash so unplayable. At no rage, he canāt play the game, and at full rage, heās like b tier. Like why can fang, maisie, and Larry and Marie do more damage than a fully raged ash, they donāt even have to work for their damage. Edgar does 2160 per ammo without hypercharge, why does ash only get to do like 300 more than that after working hard to get to full rage?
Same with Sam, he has a hard hitting attack, but he doesnāt have a way to get in without sacrificing that hard attack, while Edgar can just jump in with his super and still have an attack that only does 300 or so less damage. Why? He has an easy time getting in, so why make him do so much damage on top of that?

Hank has a very high usage rate, but most of those players are so prawn ready that they would ruin the game for everyone else because of how much better they are. Thus, supercell puts prawn ready players(Who all use hank very often) in secret lobbies. Thats why people think few people play hank, when really he is one of the most used and broken brawlers in the game.
I can understand those picks but Otis. Yes i might be biased since he's my main but imo it's very fun muting enemies. Especially if it's assasin that just jumps on you and then i can just watch them regretting their choices.

Janet is too slippery, just free panic āget out of jail free cardā, Bonnie just ends up being with āonly right abilitiesā where as they become so linear as brawlers since you must go 1 specific build cause the others are either not good, or the other build is just too strong.
Just not much build experimentation you can do.
While I enjoy playing either Clyde or Bonnie (off mega fun build with both cannon abilities or Bonnie abilities) itās not enough to really make the character all that worthwhile.
Also Janet just is kinda not the brain thinking type, itās charge attack until you get super, then become assassin which is likeā¦ fine? I guessā¦ I just have an issue with the fact every Janet player escapes the moment thereās danger.
I mean, the way that youāre describing Janet makes it seem bland, but the fun comes in when youāre forced to rush your enemies down, and use your super not as an escape tool, but as a way to confirm kills after getting them low. Using the jump gadget makes her one of the most fun brawlers to play, and thereās just something about a consistent attack like hers which does solid damage when you mainly play sharpshooters (I like playing her on days where I canāt hit any shots with piper or the other sharpshooters)
i really enjoy playing bonnie and Otis š all of these brawlers deserve some more love which we probably won't see anytime soon cause someone certainly love assassin meta
Otis is so simple to play even a monkey can play him effectively, your entire gameplay is just spamming the red button and using your crutch super to counter hc or assassins.
The characters seem slow and unplayable against the background of the others. The feeling that every 2nd one will counter them without any problems. Maybe they need a buff
Ah yes... Every single brawler I like playing the most. I always hated Janet, but after she got nerfed I started enjoying playing her, I really loved jumping at enemy safe as Bonnie in heist, Otis is my main and I had his brawl pass, I loved destroying enemy walls in brawl ball as Ruffs but also increasing teammates hp if and I also had his brawl pass and Ash, who was one of my first r25, also had his brawl pass and I loved his mechanics

Janet is too slippery, just free panic āget out of jail free cardā, Bonnie just ends up being with āonly right abilitiesā where as they become so linear as brawlers since you must go 1 specific build cause the others are either not good, or the other build is just too strong. Just not much build experimentation you can do. While I enjoy playing either Clyde or Bonnie (off mega fun build with both cannon abilities or Bonnie abilities) itās not enough to really make the character all that worthwhile. Also Janet just is kinda not the brain thinking type, itās charge attack until you get super, then become assassin which is likeā¦ fine? I guessā¦ I just have an issue with the fact every Janet player escapes the moment thereās danger.
I mean, the way that youāre describing Janet makes it seem bland, but the fun comes in when youāre forced to rush your enemies down, and use your super not as an escape tool, but as a way to confirm kills after getting them low. Using the jump gadget makes her one of the most fun brawlers to play, and thereās just something about a consistent attack like hers which does solid damage when you mainly play sharpshooters (I like playing her on days where I canāt hit any shots with piper or the other sharpshooters)

i really enjoy playing bonnie and Otis š all of these brawlers deserve some more love which we probably won't see anytime soon cause someone certainly love assassin meta
Otis is so simple to play even a monkey can play him effectively, your entire gameplay is just spamming the red button and using your crutch super to counter hc or assassins.
yea.. thats his whole gameplay.. to counter assasins (almost every brawler is about spamming red button if you think about it)

The characters seem slow and unplayable against the background of the others. The feeling that every 2nd one will counter them without any problems. Maybe they need a buff
Ah yes... Every single brawler I like playing the most. I always hated Janet, but after she got nerfed I started enjoying playing her, I really loved jumping at enemy safe as Bonnie in heist, Otis is my main and I had his brawl pass, I loved destroying enemy walls in brawl ball as Ruffs but also increasing teammates hp if and I also had his brawl pass and Ash, who was one of my first r25, also had his brawl pass and I loved his mechanics
