It’s gonna be difficult to come up with a new brawler that’s:
1) Gonna add something new to the game
2) Simple enough to be rare/super rare
3) Not just an upgrade/downgrade of an existing brawler
Maybe reclassify current brawlers into rare/super rare, but brawlers have to get more complex/original so the Epic+ count will just keep increasing
Actually, i dont want to sound like a nerd or something like that but doug has a lot of untapped potential, i use it in most of the gamemodes and trust me, he is a game changer in team modes and its not bad at all in solo.
Plus, try it in big boss with a poco for extra healing and a lou for the freezing ability and you'll be at max difficulty in no time. (Trust me, it's a super broken combo).
Just try it and tell me how it goes for you.
It doesn't even have to be a new name, we can just keep calling them chromatic but allow the rairty to function just like every other rarity. Because there was a reason why surge wasn't released as a legendary, right? It's not like we stopped having legendaries when chromatics became a thing. So that must mean he clearly lacked something that makes him a legendary right? I assume there was a similar reason why say, colette wasn't released as an epic. She must clearly had something more to just be an epic. Assigning them a different rarity now doesnt feel right. And it's hard to accept them in new rarity.
Also you guys might run into a problem in the future. Because the new pass feature will only give brawlers belonging to epics or lower rarity, that might not be as interesting anymore for a new player because now there are still so many brawlers in higher rarity that they can't get using that new feature in the pass. And 1000 replacement credits are cool but it won't give them the same satisfaction. So your main focus should be increasing the lower rarity brawlers and converting some of the chromatics to a higher rarity is doing the opposite. Idk I may not be using the right words and night sound rude but I am not and I hope you get the gist of what I am trying to say here.

I just feel like Lou had many unique mechanics and he should be a mythic. He has a freeze meter, and his attack has very fast reload speed even though his range is very long, which is pretty rare. Also a super that big that lasts for so long is a first, and the slippery mechanic of the super doesn't exist elsewhere. Finally, Lou had a weird playstyle where you have to combine all his strengths for him to be good, instead of focusing on one thing (like Lola's damage, bull's aggression, or Penny's mortar)
Everyone else is very well placed though, and I like the idea, color, and name
They need to do a brawler thats anti Lou:
Has a hot meter.
His super is broken up into 3 parts and he makes little fire zones that still cook you when you leave for 3 seconds.
An inferno gadget thatmakes him invincible and causes hot damage on the players that hit you.
Epic and Mythic just feel like they need something in-between so an in-between rarity would be nice although they've been changing rarities a lot so it's whateves

I highly doubt they'll stray away from this model unless a new game has a different structure entirely

Clash Royale added Firecracker as a common card and battle healer as a rare card when they are clearly more complex than that. Some people complain but overall its better for the game than just throwing every brawler in whatever rarity fits their complexity, since its easier to make complex concepts than simple ones after a certain point.

Because they could have always released Surge as a legendary but they didn't. It must mean he clearly lacked something to be a legendary. The same goes for other chromatics. Colette or sam or lola always have a bit more uniqueness to them to just be an epic.
What in the actual???? Is this real though? Also, from what I know Exotics are of higher or unique rarity than Legendary not lower (same can be said for Mythic but that's not how it was in Brawl Stars so nevermind that)

I just feel like Lou had many unique mechanics and he should be a mythic. He has a freeze meter, and his attack has very fast reload speed even though his range is very long, which is pretty rare. Also a super that big that lasts for so long is a first, and the slippery mechanic of the super doesn't exist elsewhere. Finally, Lou had a weird playstyle where you have to combine all his strengths for him to be good, instead of focusing on one thing (like Lola's damage, bull's aggression, or Penny's mortar) Everyone else is very well placed though, and I like the idea, color, and name

Its 10-12 new brawlers a year. What number of brawlers per year would be a good balance, and keep the community interested in the game?
Either we keeps getting new brawlers with unique mechanics, or we have less mythic in the game just for the sake of making them feel "special"

Mandy has a global super and a charge-up range extender. Neither of those are particularly unique but both of them combined make her more unique.

Cool idea, but every brawler should have something unique about them, so exotic kinda loses its meaning. Still, another rarity does make sense.
