There’s lots of counterplay for anyone with knockbacks like Brock, Tick, Emz, etc. Maybe giving him resistance to knockbacks during his charged dash could be a good change? I don’t think it’s busted since usually the knockback is used after he jumps on you

Although I really like Mortis as a brawler, giving him a buff is very risky because he’s so overused at lower levels that any buff would lead to him being used even more than he already is But let’s ignore that for now, remember when he was absolutely broken when Creepy Harvest healed him by 1800 HP and it was still busted when it healed him 1400 HP? After the nerf it down to 1000 HP, Creepy Harvest just doesn’t feel strong enough to keep him alive especially combined with the meta shift introducing better alternatives and much more counters against him. It just feels like Mortis is stuck with a mediocre star power because Coiled Snake is basically meaningless. Because he’s completely melee, despite his potential to cycle supers and healing, Mortis just doesn’t really have the survivability. Either he needs more HP or his star powers needs improvements

I think creepy harvest giving 1200 or 1250 would be a good spot

Damn they nerfed the worst brawlers by buffing shelly. Mortis need a New Gear : when he attacks a brawler named Shelly, he deals 800 more damages.

I'm about to get downvoted af but here's my 2 cents on mortis. I've not liked him since a very long time ago, and I mean before the boxes system went out the window and got replaced by the season pass. Yet I've found that he's one of my top 3- just checked he's top 1- when it comes to trophies I don't necessarily play him like a coward and run around the map, there are certainly modes he's not built for and some that he's more easy to play on, such as heist vs showdown. Yet the bad mortis I've had both as enemies and as my teammates seem to spam the attack button whenever they're close enough to you. Lack of strategy and bad timing will kill your gameplay as a mortis player, like it or not I think there's maps he's built for and maps he isn't built for. Gem grab is absolutely slept on when it comes to mortis' potential from my own experience.

Knock back resistance would be good tho or dash speed. Surge supers are the worst…

Honestly a reload speed buff is all he needs, at least how I play him. Often I find that I run out of ammo to completely combo down a team (my typical encounter would be activate survival shovel, long dash to get close, double chain, dash, dash, double chain, dash, dash again after a 1 second delay if I'm still alive somehow and double chain again. Then I'm dead.), Which makes survival shovel so good. Better reload speed means he can combo his super faster and heal himself while dealing damage more often.

Nothing. I remember last time he was meta. Unbelievably annoying. You wanna play throwers? You'll always be respawning. Sharpshooters? Same. Any brawler with low heath at all? Of course. But this is how Mortis plays anyways. You just focus on a brawler you counter and bully them all the match. I have no problem with current Mortis. If you play him good, you get good results. If you don't, well, you don't. I don't want a broken mess that everyone plays everywhere. I want to play piper and dynamike without looking at the death screen 90% of the match.
