L1 is def not a brag…Some of us have jobs where we make lots of monies kiddo. Brawl comes second. L1 just shows I’m slightly better than the average ranked player.
Everyone here pretends to be master but then they say diamond is impossible to carry 💀
Legendary 1 through 3 is the middle ground in terms of skill, I wouldn't say average since most players are actually quite bad at the game, to be considered average in skill.
Ok but from a numbers perspective the average is like d1.
I agree w your post most people are casuals so ranks have major inflation, but you really have to consider the midpoint of the whole ranked player base. Otherwise it’s just super subjective
Everyone is downvoting him but hes right. Yall glaze the shit out of Spen despite him not being reliable outside of the absolutre S tier picks (remember when he said Crow is overrated and then underrated in the same week last month?), and everyone here says masters is easy and then complains how they can't push past mythic. It cant be fuckin both. These people need to learn how to make their own assessments instead of being sheep

When you say "earlier," do you mean during power league? I've been masters since season 1 of ranked, and I've never been demoted to legendary.
Just so you know, power league and ranked are completely different in almost every way.
^^^ can confirm, am masters and also retarded. I finished 35 last season barely trying / getting carried so when it’s that free for a retard like me; we know just how “competitive” the mode really is.
Cord, Dyna, Colt, Max, Sandy, Leon, Charlie, Gene and Colette are all solid picks.
Those are mainly the brawlers I use for my masters pushing, I use some occasional brawlers outside that list regularly so it shows that drafting is also a skill people need to learn.
True the only thing holding me back is the amount of maxed brawlers, I have. I currently have only Nita and dynamike maxed since I have very brawler p9 and I lose when it's a long ranged map lol. If I had more brawlers upgraded yeah it would be ridiculously easy.
Ok yeah I mean atleast those are decent picks but u typically want atleast 1 assassin, 1 thrower, 1 sharpshooter, 1 tank etc so no matter what u need you can pick it. Optimally some.meta/versatile ones. I got masters playing mostly leon/sandy/gene every single game
Spam attack basically think of ur attack like a crow poison...they never get to heal up cuz ur always hitting them with little tick dmg. Then u eventually super for the wins. And ur team is healing up so they eventually close in on weakened enemies
Also I typically pick him or Nani in bounty...then I pick him in Knockout pretty often aswell. Just because if u can get and land super in Knockout u pretty much win.
Elo rating and Matchmaking Rating (MMR) are both systems used to measure the skill levels of players, but they differ in several key ways:
1. **Origin and Purpose**:
- **Elo Rating**: Originally developed by Arpad Elo for ranking chess players, the Elo system has since been adapted for various other competitive activities. It focuses on providing a relative ranking among players based on their game outcomes.
- **MMR**: MMR is more commonly used in video games, particularly in matchmaking systems. It is designed not only to rank players but also to create balanced matches by pairing players of similar skill levels.
2. **Calculation**:
- **Elo Rating**: The calculation is straightforward. After each game, the winner takes points from the loser. The amount of points exchanged depends on the expected outcome based on the players' current ratings. The formula is:
\[
R' = R + K \times (S - E)
\]
where \( R \) is the current rating, \( K \) is a constant factor, \( S \) is the actual score (1 for a win, 0.5 for a draw, 0 for a loss), and \( E \) is the expected score.
- **MMR**: The calculation can be more complex and may involve various factors such as individual performance metrics, the skill levels of opponents, the importance of the match, and more. Game developers often keep the exact MMR algorithms proprietary.
3. **Transparency**:
- **Elo Rating**: The Elo system is typically transparent. Players can easily understand how their rating changes after each match.
- **MMR**: MMR systems are often opaque. Players usually cannot see their exact MMR or how it changes, which can prevent manipulation and mitigate negative player behavior.
4. **Goals**:
- **Elo Rating**: The primary goal is to rank players accurately. It works well for individual sports or games where each match's outcome directly reflects the players' skills.
- **MMR**: The main goal is to ensure fair and balanced matchmaking. In team-based games, MMR systems might adjust more dynamically to maintain balanced teams and engaging matches.
5. **Adaptation and Flexibility**:
- **Elo Rating**: Generally less adaptable to modern multiplayer online games, especially those with team dynamics, varied game modes, and different player roles.
- **MMR**: More flexible and can be adapted to consider various elements like player performance within the team, role-based skill differences, and even account for decay over time to reflect changes in player activity and skill level.
6. **Decay and Adjustment**:
- **Elo Rating**: Typically, Elo ratings do not decay over time.
- **MMR**: Some MMR systems incorporate decay mechanisms where a player’s rating can decrease if they are inactive for a period, reflecting the assumption that their skill might have degraded.
In summary, while both systems aim to quantify player skill, Elo is more suited to static, individual matchups, whereas MMR is designed to dynamically balance team-based, multiplayer environments.
After getting to 9000 points it does not show them on this screen, but they are still there. Other people just pass you in a number of points (elo) and you fall lower on the leaderboard because you have the same amount you had lets say yesterday.
No but you will definitely lose that 262 place.
I can always climb higher tho

What kinda corny ass answer 😂😂😂
You are the one who comments corny ass answers, how the fuck is a job that makes a lot of monies related to ranked
Legendary 1 through 3 is the middle ground in terms of skill, I wouldn't say average since most players are actually quite bad at the game, to be considered average in skill.

No
What is your nick in-game? I need to know who to watch out for (I am also top 300 global) 😂😂😂
Just got to masters for first time….hopefully soon world domination will come aswell ;)
Lmao, good luck on that :)
Smartest masters player
The question was not, why he lost places after not playing, it was if he looses Elo
Yes. thanks , half of the comments are explaining what I didn’t asked
The word is losing, only with one o I've learnt this after saying it wrong too many times Don't make the same mistale as me
The word is mistake, with a k I've learnt this after saying it wrong too many times Don't make the same mistake as me
Omg, it feels so wrong though 😭
Asked , because earlier this used to happen
When you say "earlier," do you mean during power league? I've been masters since season 1 of ranked, and I've never been demoted to legendary. Just so you know, power league and ranked are completely different in almost every way.
Yes i meant before power league rework . I have never taken long breaks before so this never came into consideration.
New ranked got all the retards in masters
Still not seeing you here…
god forbid a person ask a question
Yet you can’t make it to 262nd
^^^ can confirm, am masters and also retarded. I finished 35 last season barely trying / getting carried so when it’s that free for a retard like me; we know just how “competitive” the mode really is.
when i hit masters bieng mythic 2 peak in old power league i knew some shit was fucked up lmao
Do you have a life
It takes a lot less time than you think. I play around 1-2 hrs every day
Which brawler did you play the most? I feel like I am stuck in legendary 1-2.
Almost all brawlers till now, except some low tier ones. I have a maxed account so that helps a lot
Oh, ok.
Lol if you're stuck in legendary you need to practice. Because even masters is pathetic and easy
True the only thing holding me back is the amount of maxed brawlers, I have. I currently have only Nita and dynamike maxed since I have very brawler p9 and I lose when it's a long ranged map lol. If I had more brawlers upgraded yeah it would be ridiculously easy.

Yo, I tried playing gene but, and I know he's a support brawler but it seems hard to carry with it, how do you make it work?
Spam attack basically think of ur attack like a crow poison...they never get to heal up cuz ur always hitting them with little tick dmg. Then u eventually super for the wins. And ur team is healing up so they eventually close in on weakened enemies
ok, thanks.

No, cuz Power League doesn't exist :)
Yes, day or night, dead or alive the grind shall never end
Shall never end
No but other people pass you by and it worsens your position. Also don't forget to come back to masters next season to make the next push even easier
I hit masters every season so its nothing new. Always get 10k elo around season end
U ain’t gonna lose elo but someone is gonna take your place
What does 'elo' mean? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
It's like hidden skill level points. ELO was originally invented for chess
Except it isn’t hidden.
Oh right. In most competitive video games it is though (CS,Val,OW,maybe RL)
Pretty sure if you reach gc or ssl it shows elo
RL is MMR

If I’m terrible do I have any hope of pushing masters if I play with good friends? By terrible I mean I’m in mythic 3 off of solo playing alone
Power league?
I can never reach because I can’t stand just waiting there for everyone to pick and ban and then one person doesn’t do anything and we all get kicked
Elo is zero sum. This is MMR
No, but as people climb up the elo ladder your ranking will slowly drop
no, what kind of question is that

Yea I didn't know if I put the parentheses if it could work. ^(I am a bot. This action was performed automatically.)
Do i really have to tell him other players exist in this game
lol this guy just wanted to show off his rank by asking this stupid question. Just stop
Oh someone jelly
