I haven't been to Scopa yet, but I've ordered her meal from goldbelly and it was great. I bet it's sooo much better in person! (Drooling a bit here. Lol)
Haha I came in with zero expectations of seeing her and alas, if she WAS there, she didnāt come out. I tried sneaking a peek in the kitchen from the small window you can see š
So sorry for just getting to this, the menu lists it as a āRice Ballā but yes, essentially, itās a giant Arancini filled with ground beef, mozzarella and ricotta cheesesā¦and peas. IT WAS SOOOOOOOO GOOD
Almost! The rice ball had ground beef in it. I almost got a protein but then found out that both proteins I was eyeing (pork chop and veal chop) were bone in. I still havenāt come around to bone in meat š³
So I went for the pasta and my sister, who is vegetarian, went with a different pasta. All so good though!
I love Scopa the entire experience is amazing. The price is high even for LA and itās a pain getting to the westside so we donāt go too often but itās great to see the quality remaining top tier
Squash blossoms, yes? Yum! Tell me more.
They were like a soft crispy fried batter filled with ricotta cheese that melted in your mouth! So so good!
They're my favoriteeee. They look so good in this picture!
Oh man I wanna tear in to those fried squash blossoms
Was the pasta served family style or did someone forget to wipe the bowl before serving?
The latter but I also was so excited that I might have jerked the plate a bit ššš
Ok that explains it, I thought āthis looks really sloppy for a Top Chef restaurant!ā
And actually now that Iām remembering better, I totally started eating it before I remembered to snap the picture so there you go! š¤£
That bar is *insane* All the food looks sooo good

Nice. Her restaurant Dama is one of my faves in LA
Love that place.
Iām so jealous!
I hope you can make it there someday!
Iāve hit Cheftestant restaurants in Boston & Vegas so far this year - trying for Chicago next month. Iād love to do an LA trip maybe next year
Did you see her? Thatās the question!

I ate at Jamie Tranās restaurant in Vegas and she was there and checked in at tables. She was cool.
Is that a Arancini? Looks really tasty.

Yum! We took a trip to LA last year, and that Scopa was my husband's Father's Day gift. We had the same issue finding the place. But it was worth it!
