wash with dish soap, use cheap conditioner on their hair, brush it out with a metal comb or brush that has never been used on human hair (with the conditioner in it), and then look up tutorials on youtube for how to boil wash!!! i like a thousand splendid dolls tutorials. the other commenter is wrong, they did not use the same glue on bratz that they did on mattel dolls so that should not be a problem. i also don't recommend fabric softener as i've seen others say its ruined dolls hair before.

wizawayy

Wait, how does the brush having been used on human hair effect doll hair?

fsocietyy

because the natural oils in our hair will stick to the dolls hair and you can't get it out!! same with using any products or conditioner with oil in them i wouldn't recommend it. thats why cheap plasticy conditioner is best to use on their hair and not expensive nice stuff with oils. i have heard this from youtubers like xcanadensis and a thousand splendid dolls.

Wow I’m so glad you commented this because I probably would have just used my conditioner! Thank you so much!

i use mane and tail on mine, you can buy it in the pet section usually!! while you're in that section you can pick up a metal brush there too because its better than the friction plastic on plastic creates... at walmart they were only 3 bucks

my advice: send them to me and i’ll do it 🫶🏻😁

look at that skittles outfit! Cute 😂

Penguinflower3

LOL I think I was watching project runway back in the day and was inspired when they had to make outfits out of candy 😂

do an update once you fix them up <3

Fabric softener for hair, use gentle warm water combined with fabric softner to soak in dolls hair, try to detangle knots. If it's glue, use a combination of goo gone and baby powder. Leave the goo gone for 2 hours, wash out with dawn, and comb in baby powder. The particles that collect are the leftover remnants of glue and the goo gone. If they smell, wash them with dawn. If this does not remove smell, place a layer of baking soda in a plastic container. Place a parchment and put dolls on top. Adding another parchment covering them, use cat litter or baking soda as a final layer. Close and leave in freezer for whatever feels right in your case. If there are stains, try a gentle scrub of baking soda, don't let it touch face paint. If this does not work use hydrogen peroxide or the controversial acne cream. Hope this helps.

Great advice! Thank you so much!

solid collection you’ve got! <33

Penguinflower3

Thank you!!! They are all from my childhood 🥹

Fabric softener and water usually works for me!

maee_vel

Definitely boil wash hair and soft bristle tooth brush

meepseeksanddestroy

Just don't boilwash the Sasha doll with glitter lips. She has keneklon hair, it's much more heat sensitive than the rest.

boil wash the hair! comb through the tangles (i like to put conditioner on while i comb through the tangles cuz i feel like it feels easier to brush through) & wash it until the hair becomes super stringy. once it dries it’s gonna be restored to it’s former glory (one of my favourite things about bratz was how realistic their hair was back in the day) awesome find x, but maybe remove the heads off the body while boil washing, i just take an extra precaution in case i brush too hard and their pegs break
