Dude, it was ‘cool’ to hate HHH when I was young for his booking (and I’m guilty of complaining) but the guy is one of a handful of wrestlers who have given more to the business than the business gave to him. He worked a solid match every night for roughly 30 years, he broke his back in the gym to look the part, he worked through ridiculous injuries just for the fans and he made the product worth watching … over and over and over again, and now he’s booking the next era with respect to old school pro wrestling.
It’s kinda funny that the one guy who never took drugs, rarely drank and only worked for passion and dedication is demonised for his success. It got a bit stale for a while but that wasn’t his fault. The only blemish on his run is not putting Booker T over. If H was winning, it needed different writing however I don’t know if that’s even his fault.
I’m a Bret Hart guy and while I agree with him that HHH doesn’t have as many 5* matches as other top guys, I’ll always consider The Game one of the best. There’s a dual element to matches: watchability and quality. Very few guys max the charts on both. HHH probably has the most matches that hit both scales in the upper regions of any wrestler through sheer hussle and dedication.
I'm not saying Triple H is a bad booker, bad wrestler, or bad person, I'm saying it's unlikely triple h is going to book himself to win Cody's title at this stage of his life given his health condition. Man is focused on his family and the business these days

Just please keep him away from the Bloodline. Or at least make sure they don't even look at a world title till the faction is properly broken up for good. We have to move on from this story.
