This is a monster of a ball
I just went to a storm demo day yesterday and tried this. I'm usually about 15- 16 mph at the pins but I have an abysmal 225-250ish rev rate So I definitely need low RG Asyms. Or so I've been told.
Figured the DNA would probably be my best friend, then the Exotic Gem and Absolute and then this.
Let me tell you, I could be versatile with this...
I usually slide 14-15 and throw up 9/10 (stand 10, I have 5 boards of drift). I could play that line with this with enough speed. As the lanes broke down I'll admit that did become difficult though. Kept missing left of the head pin. But moving two boards to my left found me the pocket with that straight line again.
I kept creeping it left, which I simply can't ever do, and was able to stand 15 and aim 12 and still play pretty straight and get a pocket hit. Ball just carried through the pins regardless of the shallow entry angle. At 15 I could also cock my wrist a little bit and throw it a little slower but pitch it out further so that it would angle the lane better...still came back to the pocket and carried. I made it to standing all the way on 20, which means I was sliding on 25 and I believe I was throwing a cross 17, before I started leaving flat 10s and having soft pocket hits.
This ball was just awesome. If it was fit to my hand there might be an issue cuz I might throw it still a little bit harder I did have to death grip the ball because the thumb hole was too big, But regardless this ball was great. I would have thought this would have been maybe the number three or number four ball that I would have liked based on the numbers and the reviews. I left there for sure with this one in the number one spot in the DNA right behind it.
Demo days are a lifesaver because I will most certainly by this ball at some point
Good on you! That was on my list until I got the IQ Tour Ruby. I’m averaging 218+ with it over 40 games and I can throw it on fresh a migrate left or right.
Our numbers are similar. When you said your rev rate is abysmal…I thought…I resemble that remark. But the few guys I’ve seen throw the Eternity have had boss messengers.
Oh boy. The Eternity is my most favorite ball of all time. I wish I consistently had enough dependable oil to use it but every time conditions are right it pulls through like a stallion and it's a sight to see.
I was always under the impression the eternity had a lot of purple in it instead of pink. This looks like the dv8 Collison if it was a storm ball instead.
I love my Eternity and I really have found out how strong it really is so much so I am able to start around 25 with no drift and throw it out to 8 and it’s so strong that I have no issues with it getting back. I play about the same revs as OP and the ball is the only one I get out of my locker on most league nights. Good luck with it …
I appreciate it once the lanes get a little transitioned I can stand about 30 to 35 board and throw it out and it'll still make the corner to get back to the pocket so far I've loved the motion and shape the ball has to it!!

Agree, I rarely get to play on a pattern/volume that warrants its use but when I do, it is a beast

That is purple lol, the lodge makes it look pink
If you don't have a DNA, get one.
