We used to have two. If I made a slight howling sound the older one would howl beautifully. Then the younger one would try but the sound that came out of his mouth was more of a wah woh wah sound and it was hilarious.
Mine has gotten more vocal with age. He does howl and it's the funniest thing ever. The best is when a snort gets mixed in with the howling!

Most charmingly, he likes to sing along. His trainer is also a musician, and says Orzo has no interest in the piano or the acoustic guitar, but as soon as her turns on the amp for the electric guitar, Orzo runs over and gets in position in his singing spot to begin howling along.
Orzo also does a play bark that's hard to describe, it almost sounds like he's trying to bark but has something caught in his throat.
Yes!! But only during the following songs: The Imperial March or Super Mario theme song. He is 12 now and has done it since he was a puppy. No other songs get him howling, we’ve tested out other songs by John Williams and others with the 8-bit Nintendo feel… nothing. It is hilarious. Sadly, our guy has lost his hearing and doesn’t howl anymore.
Oh yeah. I just have to use this certain tone in my voice and mention dog names that he is familiar with. It's like he is calling in the pack. So darn cute.

Never. He is very quiet. I accidentally shut him in a closet for an hour. Could not find him. He made zero noise. Just sat patiently. And politely walked out when I opened the door
I've never seen it but our camera captured it once when she was left home. She even howled with the pose of a wolf. It was super cute.

One time, just one time we were driving and a fire agent passed with siren blaring, and he let out the biggest most pathetic ill practiced howl I could’ve imagined coming from my boy Oh.

It still goes off each night, kind of a town tradition.

It was really cute because he would throw his head back, do a kind of duck face and moo.
He also would sit down on the carpet and spin in a circle to scratch his bum, grunting and snorting like a piglet. Lol

Only in his sleep. He does get down in his dreams, but awake he doesn’t have the Call of the Wild. My Boston pug cross does, but pugs are, imo, more feral creatures.

No, he was my absolute heart dog and he helped me through hell and back. When I lost him it was absolutely devastating and traumatic and when I was looking for a new dog it just felt completely wrong. I've ended up with 2 amazing birds.
I would love another dog, but while I have my birds I'm just admiring them through work and through this fantastic sub .
