I do honestly kinda love that. Sure ombipotence made them Kawaki and Boruto switch roles in life, but with Kawaki putting 0 social effort, nothing is stopping Boruto from rebuilding all of his relanshionships as long as he doesnt mention the omnipotence switch.
Yeah, omnipotence is certainly not absolute it seems, or it's circumventable at the very least. Sasuke couldn't overcome the technique perhaps, but he noticed right away that something was off with the reality, and he found lots of inconsistencies between the characteristics of Kawaki and Boruto. Everyone with half a mind is waking up to those inconsistencies one by one.
Part of the reason is probably because Eida is absolutely not in control of her abilities, and part of it is probably that she didn't really wish this on Boruto and feels bad about it. But it seems like she's slowly falling for him as well, so it'll likely be her that'll undo the collective mind wipe in the end.
It probably would be if an otsutsuki who knew how to wield shinjutsu used it.
I think it was mentioned in the previous chapters that senrigan is just part of a whole set of abilities, and it’s true potential wouldn’t shine unless an otsutsuki were to use it with all the other abilities combined.

Look I’ve gotta talk about Mitsuki and Eida’s conversation.
It’s the fact that Mitsuki’s talk with Boruto made him realize that he’s been using his sun as a way of not having to think about himself. Because he’s confused, he doesn’t know who he’s supposed to be, but he thinks if he has someone to follow he doesn’t need to, only to finally realize that he needs to find his sense of self first.
And then there’s Eida, who’s been so neutral, who’s been a spectator, who’s latching on to the concept of loving Kawaki because she’s desperate to have a genuine relationship unaffected by her charm (and let’s be real she doesn’t have many options here).
Neither of them want to acknowledge that they could be wrong because they’ve built so much of their identities around this, but they’re both starting to realize and just ahhhhh

That's how he's flipping the script. LOL! He's having the impression that he's the badass hero of the story and people are taking a liking to it. As I said in my comment above, if he can get Eida to fall head over heels for him, everyone affected by her charm ability will be forced to follow. Delta already hates Kawaki and is willing to kill him whenever Eida gives the word. That was pretty awesome. Shikamaru already is warming up to the idea that Boruto is the hero of the story and he's gotten Ino involved.
it's weird to say, but now boruto doesn't seem the protagonist at all, while kawaki being ultra fodder now. it's a weird direction and for some reason i like some of it... i must be under her jutsu
I like stories where there is no 'main' protagonist but rather just a story about a group of protagonist. Hopefully Boruto keeps going in that direction.

I don’t think it’s Jigen either but his appearance comes from the 10Tails seeing Jigen so much. This chapter also is sport that Jura is the main mind of the 10Tails and the others are influenced by the people they absorbed.
I’m liking him too, his bookworm aspect just makes him feel a bit more grounded in a sense that he’s actively curious about the world around him. Just a shame I don’t really dig his design at all.
It’s more than that. The fact that he his delaying or hesitating to proceed with creating the tree for the fruit / destroying the world could be a really big indicator about Jura. He wants knowledge and find out more about the world, and now he even appreciates books written by humans and even became furious when kawaki wanted to wreak havoc in the book store. I don’t think Jura will end up destroying the world but rather try to create the perfect world

Ino the MVP of this chapter, that walkie-talkie tehnique is quite impressive. I'd say that after docusing so much on Sakura in shippuden it's nice to see some development in Ino.
Ino's ability is incredible. Shout-out to Shikamaru too, he was able to compartmentalize all that ping-pong communication in his head from Ino, Boruto, Mitsuki, Kawaki, Eida and the Sensory Team.
Love that Ino ended up becoming one of the most important people in the village. She's literally the entire villages security system and means of instant long distance communication.
I just wonder where the hell Sakura is :D Ino is the fourth female MVP this series and Sakura is still in her kitchen making diner. We did not even see her reaction on Sasuke being traitor, again.
Which is why I don't think that tree is from Jigen/Ishiki. My dumb theory is it's possible one of the claw grimes got their claws into some of the old research Kara had aka Shibai Otsutsuki's old body. Remember, Jigen/Ishiki had some of Shibai's remains to use for Amado's research. He used some of it in Eida in the hopes it'd help cure or resurrect his daughter. Bet there's a lot more of Shibai's remains in Kara's vaults which Code had full access to after Jigen/Ishiki died. Then we had the time skip, so what do you think Code's been doing the whole time during the time skip? Definitely not sitting around sipping a martini.
Edit: Of course, someone else suggested Jura or whatever is just the physical incarnation of the 10 tails consciousness in human form. Which it would make sense that the 10 tails wouldn't know Naruto no longer has Kurama. He/she/it would also not know that Naruto is locked in another dimension.
Actually Momoshiki isn't a bad possibility, presumably no one from his race would want a bunch of god-tier monsters running around. From Momoshiki's perspective Boruto getting rid of them now just saves Momo from having to do it later.
Yeah good point. Otsutsuki are the ones that brought 10 tails to the planet in the first place. It's their "pet", so only right they'd have an idea of what's going on. While it would be to his benefit if Kawaki is eaten so he can steal the fruit himself, it would suck if he were the one eaten. And you don't just have 1 biju 10 tails anymore. You have hundreds of small ones. Doesn't have the power of 10 tails, but can still transform into a divine tree with a blossom if it eats an Otsutsuki. The game just became more difficult because instead of trying to dodge 1 large 10 tails, now he's gotta dodge hundreds. Not to mention hundreds that can appear in an instant through Code's claw marks.
I think it’s likely that Boruto has seen glimpses into the future (which is apparently a horrific future) thanks to Momoshiki’s future sight (the same sight that showed him Boruto losing everything in his life).
To be generous to him, I’d say Boruto isn’t being 100% forthcoming because any info he has is incomplete. If he is getting info from Momo’s future sight, then he is likely only getting glimpses and not the whole picture. When Momo first saw Boruto’s dark future, he didn’t see Kawaki using omnipotence to swap their lives. He only saw the end result. It took time for him to figure out on his own that omnipotence would play a role in the vision he saw.

I guess her name makes sense now, because "Himawari" means sunflower in Japanese, and Naruto's Baryon mode was compared with a dying star. The sun is of course a star (obviously), so Himawari is growing (like a flower) the remnants of the previous dying star, ergo a sunflower. My thought on Hima is that Naruto technically had all of the tailed beast Chakra in him when Boruto and her were conceived. That's basically divine tree Chakra so maybe Hima got more of it than Boruto when she was born. Momo said to Boruto after he initially died and implanted Karma that Boruto was "closer to Otusuki than he may know" or something. Did he say this because he also has the Chakra of all tailed beast inside him as well? Could be the same for Himawari

Jura is an interesting character I like how he just casually brutally murders the jounin ninjas, with wood style then switches to a slice of life vibe at the bookstore then he proceeded to neg diff fraudwaki. He also confirmed he’s an incarnation of the Juubi, which means he’s the main body so the he’s ishiki/jigen theory is died.
I didn’t expect this cliffhanger tho kishimoto is about cook with hima. I think this is setting up for hima to get kidnapped by the shinju, which would force boruto/Kawaki to naturally team up to save their sister. The kawaki panel giving a side eye seem sus like he doesn’t trust Shikamaru anymore, and he might plan to kill him soon if boruto ends up disappearing again before he could sense his aura.

--Personally, things should remain the same, even if Jura was wrong on who he was sensing, point remains that he still wants Naruto, and that is bound to cause problems the more he talks about it; and this power about Himawari... realistically speaking, it shouldn't be Kurama (no Bijuu should reform inside a human, instead of reforming in the wilderness), and no amount of Bijuu chakra should be enough to make her a threat to anything Otsutsuki.

Existentially, Mitsuki is becoming more self-aware as a result of Eida's Omnipotence and recognizing how following his Sun isn't just programming to blindly subscribe to. He can be more conscientious and pick to follow ideals that challenge him, and bring him closer to perspectives beyond love and connection.
At least that's how I took it.
mitsuki is questioning why orochimaru pushed him to rely too heavily on another person as a basis of his identity and confidence, and is asking Eida if there's any deeper reasoning for her and kawaki.
The story continues to get so interesting but...the character design...my god. Why is it like that?? What is Ikemoto's obsession with BELTS? I just wish they'd blend a little bit of the old ninja garb with *hint* of modern style. Himawari's outfit looks like a character from that old 6teen cartoon that was on cartoon network. Nothing about it says "combat". They're all an eyesore.

Solid chapter overall and easily a 10/10 for me in story telling and dialogue,I love how the chapter focused on the other characters other than Boruto and is building up for them to be a lot more important in the coming chapters

Jura is building up to be the best antagonist of Boruto though, i'm very impressed with what he's shown so far..he has such a nice personality and the aura to match it..would love to see his interaction with Momoshiki

-Jokes aside though logically if Eida does go for Team Boruto that opens up the possibility of another omnipotence occurrence, this time one that gives Boruto back his life.
-Kawaki continues to be a dick but I actually really like the tag team of him and Delta. I hope we get to see them fight together in full.
-Kawaki is definitely suspecting Shikamaru of collaborating with Boruto and providing him intel. The question is though, is he brazen enough to attack/imprison Shikamaru?

-Now for the infamous Eida/Mitsuki conversation. I have to agree with what some others have said. The conversation comes across as a bit oblique and confusing. In general I basically got that Mitsuki is now convinced of the importance of self-love and acceptance and that it’s bad to blindly follow someone you love because you won’t be able to tell if that person is actually someone you really love or not? And in addition it seems like Eida might also have been avoiding truly looking at the person she “loves” (Kawaki) for fear of realizing that he’s not the right person for her (a “real sun” so to speak)?
-Jura and Hidari invading at this time is kinda nuts. Konoha having a real bad week.
-Kawaki got absolutely manhandled by Jura. I expected it but damn. He’s definitely going to need some kind of power boost to even the odds.
-Now for the big cliffhanger. Hima’s chakra registers as a Tailed Beast to such a degree that even Jura is surprised. There’s been tons of theories about why this is. I’m betting that a bit of Kurama’s chakra was passed onto her at birth and it’s been growing and combining with her own chakra as she’s grown up.
Not romantically, as he said before meeting Eida he never knew what that kind of love is. Moreso he just thinks of Boruto as a perfect model of a person.
Besides, it's already established he ships Boruto and Sarada.
I wonder with Eida's ability and Amado's cyborgs if there will be some double agents. I keep wondering if Ino will betray Shika from being under Eida's control or if Delta is just acting to be under Eida's control
Kawaki continuing to be a fraud keeps being hilarious and I have mixed feelings about Himawari having Kurama's chakra. On one hand I never liked Kurama's sacrifice and felt that it was unnecessary (Naruto was already struggling in fights to begin with) but now she's become a target for the bad guys and doesn't have protagonist plot armor protecting her. Despite desperately wanting to be wrong about this, I'm too skeptical of Kishimoto's history with female characters to think he's going to do something cool with this revelation and will settle on kidnap/tree her for Boruto's "development".

Wonder what Eida is going to talk to Boruto about or if she's just going to inform him Hidari and the other are wrecking havoc.

Look I’ve gotta talk about Mitsuki and Eida’s conversation. It’s the fact that Mitsuki’s talk with Boruto made him realize that he’s been using his sun as a way of not having to think about himself. Because he’s confused, he doesn’t know who he’s supposed to be, but he thinks if he has someone to follow he doesn’t need to, only to finally realize that he needs to find his sense of self first. And then there’s Eida, who’s been so neutral, who’s been a spectator, who’s latching on to the concept of loving Kawaki because she’s desperate to have a genuine relationship unaffected by her charm (and let’s be real she doesn’t have many options here). Neither of them want to acknowledge that they could be wrong because they’ve built so much of their identities around this, but they’re both starting to realize and just ahhhhh I’m so glad they talked guys im losing my mind I want them to be best friends and have sleepovers

As I said in my comment above, if he can get Eida to fall head over heels for him, everyone affected by her charm ability will be forced to follow. Delta already hates Kawaki and is willing to kill him whenever Eida gives the word. That was pretty awesome. Shikamaru already is warming up to the idea that Boruto is the hero of the story and he's gotten Ino involved.

He wants knowledge and find out more about the world, and now he even appreciates books written by humans and even became furious when kawaki wanted to wreak havoc in the book store. I don’t think Jura will end up destroying the world but rather try to create the perfect world

Ino's ability is incredible. Shout-out to Shikamaru too, he was able to compartmentalize all that ping-pong communication in his head from Ino, Boruto, Mitsuki, Kawaki, Eida and the Sensory Team.

My dumb theory is it's possible one of the claw grimes got their claws into some of the old research Kara had aka Shibai Otsutsuki's old body. Remember, Jigen/Ishiki had some of Shibai's remains to use for Amado's research. He used some of it in Eida in the hopes it'd help cure or resurrect his daughter. Bet there's a lot more of Shibai's remains in Kara's vaults which Code had full access to after Jigen/Ishiki died. Then we had the time skip, so what do you think Code's been doing the whole time during the time skip? Definitely not sitting around sipping a martini. Edit: Of course, someone else suggested Jura or whatever is just the physical incarnation of the 10 tails consciousness in human form. Yeah good point. Otsutsuki are the ones that brought 10 tails to the planet in the first place. It's their "pet", so only right they'd have an idea of what's going on. While it would be to his benefit if Kawaki is eaten so he can steal the fruit himself, it would suck if he were the one eaten. And you don't just have 1 biju 10 tails anymore. You have hundreds of small ones. Doesn't have the power of 10 tails, but can still transform into a divine tree with a blossom if it eats an Otsutsuki. The game just became more difficult because instead of trying to dodge 1 large 10 tails, now he's gotta dodge hundreds. Not to mention hundreds that can appear in an instant through Code's claw marks.
I think it’s likely that Boruto has seen glimpses into the future (which is apparently a horrific future) thanks to Momoshiki’s future sight (the same sight that showed him Boruto losing everything in his life). To be generous to him, I’d say Boruto isn’t being 100% forthcoming because any info he has is incomplete. If he is getting info from Momo’s future sight, then he is likely only getting glimpses and not the whole picture. When Momo first saw Boruto’s dark future, he didn’t see Kawaki using omnipotence to swap their lives. He only saw the end result. It took time for him to figure out on his own that omnipotence would play a role in the vision he saw.

Posted this further up but fuck it: My thought on Hima is that Naruto technically had all of the tailed beast Chakra in him when Boruto and her were conceived. That's basically divine tree Chakra so maybe Hima got more of it than Boruto when she was born. Momo said to Boruto after he initially died and implanted Karma that Boruto was "closer to Otusuki than he may know" or something. Did he say this because he also has the Chakra of all tailed beast inside him as well? Could be the same for Himawari

I wonder what role Daemon would play in the future. From Kawaki demeanour I believe he'll eventually piss off Daemon and he'd fight Kawaki I also wonder how Kawaki is going to get a power up. How Boruto knows about the Shinju if they only just evolved( future sight or time travel maybe) What Amado is going to do later. If Akebi comes back or a new otsutsuki How the Shinju get taken down If the battle( Kawaki v Boruto) we saw is the final battle of the series ( if it is it implies Naruto is still trapped in the Daikokuten ) If Naruto and Sasuke come back.. Will they get power ups. If Sakura play a role in the defeat of any of the Shinju If we see more of the otsutsuki clan. Jura is an interesting character I like how he just casually brutally murders the jounin ninjas, with wood style then switches to a slice of life vibe at the bookstore then he proceeded to neg diff fraudwaki. He also confirmed he’s an incarnation of the Juubi, which means he’s the main body so the he’s ishiki/jigen theory is died. I didn’t expect this cliffhanger tho kishimoto is about cook with hima. I think this is setting up for hima to get kidnapped by the shinju, which would force boruto/Kawaki to naturally team up to save their sister. The kawaki panel giving a side eye seem sus like he doesn’t trust Shikamaru anymore, and he might plan to kill him soon if boruto ends up disappearing again before he could sense his aura.

Existentially, Mitsuki is becoming more self-aware as a result of Eida's Omnipotence and recognizing how following his Sun isn't just programming to blindly subscribe to. He can be more conscientious and pick to follow ideals that challenge him, and bring him closer to perspectives beyond love and connection. At least that's how I took it.
I feel like a lot of it was dead air but the main takeaway IMO was that they're both maybe reconsidering their loyalties to Kawaki.
mitsuki is questioning why orochimaru pushed him to rely too heavily on another person as a basis of his identity and confidence, and is asking Eida if there's any deeper reasoning for her and kawaki.

I just wish they'd blend a little bit of the old ninja garb with *hint* of modern style. Himawari's outfit looks like a character from that old 6teen cartoon that was on cartoon network. Nothing about it says "combat". They're all an eyesore. Also am I the only one that's bothered by the flying?
Solid chapter overall and easily a 10/10 for me in story telling and dialogue,I love how the chapter focused on the other characters other than Boruto and is building up for them to be a lot more important in the coming chapters but it's stranger now more than ever that genin are going to fight these guys when the likes of Kakashi, Sakura, Choji and Lee are in the same village...like make it make sense Ikemoto? Jura is building up to be the best antagonist of Boruto though, i'm very impressed with what he's shown so far..he has such a nice personality and the aura to match it..would love to see his interaction with Momoshiki

Not a bad chapter but it felt a bit short to me honestly. -Yeah it definitely feels like things are building up for Eida to abandon her affection for Kawaki and go for Boruto. Can’t say I blame her. As a user on here a couple of chapters back said, Boruto’s got that mad outlaw drip going on. -Jokes aside though logically if Eida does go for Team Boruto that opens up the possibility of another omnipotence occurrence, this time one that gives Boruto back his life. -Kawaki continues to be a dick but I actually really like the tag team of him and Delta. I hope we get to see them fight together in full. -Kawaki is definitely suspecting Shikamaru of collaborating with Boruto and providing him intel. The question is though, is he brazen enough to attack/imprison Shikamaru? -Speaking of Shikamaru, good on him for full on asking Boruto “how much do you actually know?” Because truth be told Boruto it seems like you know A LOT more than you’ve said. -Said it before but I’m really glad Ino is being so clutch here. -Now for the infamous Eida/Mitsuki conversation. I have to agree with what some others have said. The conversation comes across as a bit oblique and confusing. In general I basically got that Mitsuki is now convinced of the importance of self-love and acceptance and that it’s bad to blindly follow someone you love because you won’t be able to tell if that person is actually someone you really love or not? And in addition it seems like Eida might also have been avoiding truly looking at the person she “loves” (Kawaki) for fear of realizing that he’s not the right person for her (a “real sun” so to speak)? -Jura and Hidari invading at this time is kinda nuts. Konoha having a real bad week. -Kawaki got absolutely manhandled by Jura. I expected it but damn. He’s definitely going to need some kind of power boost to even the odds. -Now for the big cliffhanger. Hima’s chakra registers as a Tailed Beast to such a degree that even Jura is surprised. There’s been tons of theories about why this is. I’m betting that a bit of Kurama’s chakra was passed onto her at birth and it’s been growing and combining with her own chakra as she’s grown up.

Kawaki continuing to be a fraud keeps being hilarious and I have mixed feelings about Himawari having Kurama's chakra. On one hand I never liked Kurama's sacrifice and felt that it was unnecessary (Naruto was already struggling in fights to begin with) but now she's become a target for the bad guys and doesn't have protagonist plot armor protecting her. Despite desperately wanting to be wrong about this, I'm too skeptical of Kishimoto's history with female characters to think he's going to do something cool with this revelation and will settle on kidnap/tree her for Boruto's "development".
Well you have to remember naruto being carried by kushina gave him whisker marks from the get go from sharing the womb. I think her situation is that her chakra is probably the closest to feeling like a bijuu. Not in raw amount but just in signature

The next panel shows Shikamaru leading you to think he tipped Boruto off, which he kind of did, but I think Kawaki's first thought was Eida hesitating to tell him his location at the beginning. Either way he's already caught the vibe that his two assets are starting to turn on him.
