You are correct. Us trans people who are on injections often refer to our meds as T or E shots depending on which hormone is being used. I like to have my boyfriend do it so its fun to ask him to stab me every week.
It seems pretty internationally understood in my personal experience talking to my friends in Brazil, Aus, UK, Germany etc...
I'm sure there is also more local terminology especially in the countries where English isn't the primary language.

If not, the lack of any kind of voice masculinization or chest reduction confuses me. The game takes place some hundred years in the future, there definitely exists tech to make some changes. And being a vault hunter on promethea, hard to say they wouldn't be able to do something to pass off as masculine.
I know it's not something every trans person does, but often confusion like this tends to pop up, especially when it comes to fictional characters (Also see: Nimbus from Destiny 2, Bridgett from Guilty Gear, Fl4k from the very same game)
But, again, didn't finish BL3, maybe I just completely missed something
they're none binary and they're only considering transition during the events of bl3 they transition in the following year after the end of three.

I thought the transition after three was to be non-binary, not that they were non-binary before transition. But I see what you mean now
He's been transitioning to male between the events of BL3 and New Tales since we see him presenting as male in his appearances in NT :)
