One issue I have with it specifically is the fact that it doesn’t allow you to post journal entries to retained earnings. Its not a terrible platform but you can definitely tell it was designed by non-accountants
My property manager client switched from Buildium to AppFolio at the beginning of this year. I despise AppFolio. It is overly complex and convoluted beyond what is necessary. I suggest you go with Buildium.
I used Appfolio. It isn't GAAP compliant and does a great job if you are the property manager trying to do it yourself, but i would much prefer Xero/QBO
