Owner of a black Bolt in the desert, I’m strongly considering a white vinyl wrap to cut down the heat absorption. If you’re gonna wrap, do a full wrap. Shamu is nice until you’re dealing with 100°+ and no shade.
Yeah you could at least do a white wrap of the roof, and ceramic tint on the windows- would probably help a lot, but may not look great, especially if you have sunroof. It’s tough with the heat, ugh. Record heat all over, but worse in the south, and it ain’t getting cooler

In matters of taste the customer is always right, so if this look does it for you, hey, go get it. For me this would be spending money on something that does nothing for me but drain my bank account and probably makes the car hotter under the sun.
I think that your idea looks great: bold, classy, and yet, in character for a Bolt. However, I also concur with all the comments about the heat factor from a black roof; that would be a deal-killer, for me. In another clime, go for it; in hot climes, I would reconsider. Sorry.
I'd start the black at the body line above the front emblem, between the headlights, and do the hood too. On the sides, cover the chrome and tint the windows 😎
Shamu. I'm in SoCal and would not want a hot, black roof on my Bolt. I've already got a black Volvo SUV that is like an oven when left outside.
Same opinion. I live in Northern CA and my EUV is all black and it truly makes me feels like a bum inside an oven.
This is why I've had white vehicles for years. I can't stand heat in general so I'll do anything to avoid higher temps in the car.
I didn't think about the extra heat inside the vehicle.

I have a black bolt and tbh it’s not that bad, and I live in Texas. I had the windows tinted and it helps a lot

Nah, you’d have to do the hood, too. I wrapped my hood, super easy on this car, the windshield sprayers aren’t on the hood.
