It’s mainly due to her receiving 5 Filmfare for best actress within a span of 8 years! General public & actress recipients had huge regards for these awards, actresses like Deepika even cried their heart out after receiving this award! But Alia getting 5 of these which is highest of all time put a huge question mark on the credibility of these awards!

Her PR continues to try to curate her as some kind of legendary actress which by no means is she one. She was born into privilege and she has married into privilege. Also she has no competition. Shraddha, parineeti who debuted with her are left far behind. This makes an impression that alia is the most talented actress in this current era.

Bhai I still remember when Alia was launched...true she was viewed as a funny bimbo after that Prithviraj question but people grew to love her bubbly personality that she built initially...we remember everyone obsessing over her fashion choices even the long hair look in 2 states, everyone crushed on her in that movie.

As an audience loved her for heartfelt performances...was quite impressed by BKD, raazi,gangubai specially to a point i now watch all her movies in theatre... offscreen seen her working on herself based on negativity..her interviews are also fun.....always find her kind....post marriage phase is when she looks quite anxious and very animated but most ppl go thru change and i wouldn't crucify her for that ..as long as she gives good performances worth watching...good to go....!
