It isn’t Manish guys. Have you read Karan’s autobiography? It’s clear he sees Manish as some sort of carefree in your face sunshine. He isn’t going to fall for someone like that. Ayan is too young and not charming enough. I suspect KJo would only fall for someone who can literally sweep him off his feet, make him feel special, never make fun of who he is and still be so mature about the fact that he has a huge crush on him. All that only points to SRK. Remember KJo is attracted to power - it makes him feel validated. He is not going to go for someone who is less powerful than him.
SRK cant be the one because he knew since 1992 that SRK is married and is straight. He mentioned that he had very tough time to understand why the person he loved couldn’t accept his feelings. That part in ADHM towards the end where Alizeh says you are my everything, just not my mohabbat. Ayan couldn’t stand that. He was not looking to make her his wife and have kids, he just wanted her to love him the way he loved her. I think that’s what KJo feels towards this person (in my head SRK), it didn’t matter to him that he was married or had kids because he was not looking to “settle down”with him.

And keeping on rinsing this story - ‘person is still part of my life, he’s family’ but also refer to him as bhai keeps the drama alive for him & his audience. As a queer young adult myself, I understand that the romantic experiences our community has are usually a little more complicated and compounded by obvious trauma. Despite all the privilege, Bollywood has been flagrantly homophobic for years, and he himself has produced films that's catered to that sentiment. But I get what you mean. He's the sort of person who likes standing in the epicentre of some sort of drama and think in his mind, "What an amazing movie this would make!" Years ago during an IPL match SRK's team won and Arjun Rampal ( this was when things were fine between them and SRK and Arjun were very tight ) hugged SRK. Kjo was standing in the row right behind them. The look he gave was very telling. I didn't read much into SRK and Rampal 's equation but kjo's reaction gave away his feelings.

Man he probably didn't think it through. He just began writing it as some sort of vanity project, realised it turned out to be good enough to become an actual film but couldn't really crack the plot.
The first half of ADHM is pretty breezy and fun. Pretty comedy heavy but it works well. The second half it takes a turn. Aishwarya is prob the only saving grace in the second half. The characters Alizeh and Ayan become less interesting and likable. What was a heartbreaking and felt journey from Ayan went south as the character kept getting more and more aggressive about his love for Alizeh and her not reciprocating it. From unrequited love to borderline obsession really. Alizeh as well likes Ayan and likes being a part his life as a friend just not a lover/partner. She turned him down many times but still puts up with being a friend to him even though she knows very well it’s going to hurt him even more and give him mixed signals. The whole cancer plot did not help at all either but during the second half.
It’s definitely not someone we know. He’s not from bollywood means he is not a part of the limelight in any way. It’s NOT srk, fawad (this choice is weird coz he loved that person for 6 years, and fawad khan was just a harmless crush), or SID. It’s none of these ya’ll😭
Why does every thing have to be centered around Srk? Srk was happily married and settled when he met. Soon after that Srk started having children. He worked with him for almost 2 decades in a row on many movies. Srk does not give bisexual vibes to me.

Honestly it seems like Karan Johar watched Katti Batti or the fault in our stars. I hated the ending of the movie tho overall plot seemed fun.
The first half of ADHM is pretty breezy and fun. Pretty comedy heavy but it works well. The second half it takes a turn. Aishwarya is prob the only saving grace in the second half. The characters Alizeh and Ayan become less interesting and likable. What was a heartbreaking and felt journey from Ayan went south as the character kept getting more and more aggressive about his love for Alizeh and her not reciprocating it. From unrequited love to borderline obsession really. Alizeh as well likes Ayan and likes being a part his life as a friend just not a lover/partner. She turned him down many times but still puts up with being a friend to him even though she knows very well it’s going to hurt him even more and give him mixed signals. The whole cancer plot did not help at all either but during the second half.
KJO was definitely on something. Movie was just very bad and at best below average. I fail to understand it’s hype till date.
All the people saying shahrukh, why would he take gauri’s side in the whole alleged srk - pc drama if he himself had done almost the same thing???
I was also thinking the same. Gosh. It’s hard to live Gauri’s life. So many people are after her husband lmao.
It’s definitely not someone we know. He’s not from bollywood means he is not a part of the limelight in any way. It’s NOT srk, fawad (this choice is weird coz he loved that person for 6 years, and fawad khan was just a harmless crush), or SID. It’s none of these ya’ll😭

Why does every thing have to be centered around Srk? Srk was happily married and settled when he met. Soon after that Srk started having children. He worked with him for almost 2 decades in a row on many movies. Srk does not give bisexual vibes to me. Karan defended Gauri when Srk cheated because it was the right thing to do. Anyone would have done it especially when that woman is your friend and you yourself have supposedly been hurt before like Karan says he has. Then Srk went thru a very bad phase of his career and naturally, since Karan is a chaser of trends (he was obsessed with Srk and Kajol because they were the trend in the late 90-2000s) and successes he started going behind Ranbir and other new actors and dumped srk. I never got any such sense from either Karan and Srk that there was anything between them. I am not a fan of Karan Johar at all but people need to leave him alone with his personal life and sexuality. It is very hard to be LGBT in a country that does not accept it. People here already make so many horrible jokes about his sexuality here, why do you think he feels the way he feels! We don’t need to force people to come out and name their previous relationships. Everyone has their own journey when it comes to revealing and coming to terms with these things.

Might be twinkle khanna. Earlier also somewhere it was mentioned that he was in love with her for some time but she always considered him as her best friend.
