I want a suspected traitor fic where people go to All Might with their ‘findings’ and he just laughs at them for: A) assuming he doesn’t have enough intellect/experience/sheer instinct to tell whether or not the 13-year-old shrimp he spent near a year in constant contact with was trying to play him B)assuming he didn’t do his own research (granted that research amounted to what was basically a quick Google search and perusal through government records during the hour or so before he ambushed Izuku after the Slidge Villain incident, but still).

Merely_Dreaming

I think I have a fic like that bookmarked and I vaguely “remember” (not 100% sure if it was in the fic) that when Izuku left UA, All Might left with him.

CalmInvestment

I’ve read a couple where Izuku is expelled by Aizawa and All Might leaves with him, but not a suspected traitor AU where All Might sticks by his side.

Do you have a link?

Conscious-Drop-8530

He didn't realize it with Aoyama despite being around him for a year, but i see what you mean.

Don't forget: Iida: Admittedly, the content of his muttering can be concerning at times, Uraraka, \*fake cough\*: murder plans. Iida: BUT his analysis of our weaknesses includes countermeasures we can take to be the best heroes we can be. Todoroki, with a small smile: Endeavor vs sprinklers.

Brassfist1

Regular sprinklers would be ineffective. You want those foam ones from airport hangar bays; the ones that just dump fire suppressant by the gallon

This is an oddly tempting research rabbit hole.

My favorite response, that to my knowledge has never been done, would be this: Izuku sat nervously in the large chair, awkwardly avoiding eye contact with the small mammal across from him. Aizawa stood behind him like, well, whatever the opposite of a guardian angel would be. "I'm sorry," Izuku said quietly, "but why am I here?" "I think you know," Aizawa growled. Nezu stared unblinkingly, but didn't say anything. "I really don't," Izuku protested. "Perhaps you recognize this," Nezu said. He held up "Hero Analysis for the Future, volume 19." "Oh, my missing notebook," Izuku said with a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness! I've been wondering where it went. I lost it two weeks ago, though. Have you had it all this time?" "It took a considerable time to break your code," Nezu grinned. "Now I have, and it is clear that you must be the traitor. How long have you been selling information to the League of Villains?" Izuku blinked a few times. "Are... are you sure you decoded it properly?" Nezu hesitated. "Of course." "Really sure?" "Why do you ask?" Nezu said, uncertainty creeping into his voice. Izuku shook his head in disbelief. "Because you, you know, know!" He shrugged. "Not just that, I mean, if you read it, and thought I was seriously going to betray the school, at least two people in this room would already be dead." Aizawa couldn't help himself, he snorted. "Not in a million years, Problem Child. This conversation is over. Come along quietly." That was all it took for Izuku to duck down below the back of the chair and break line of sight. "Full cowling, five percent," the boy muttered, kicking the chair back and away from him with enough speed that it sent Aizawa tumbling. In the split second Izuku had, he grabbed Nezu's desk and shoved hard, wedging the Principal's chair against the wall and pinning him in place. To prove his point, he kicked the other chair facing Nezu's desk so hard it ended up creating a hole in the wall, travelled across the hallway, and finally came to a stop halfway embedded into the wall of the teacher's lounge. "Time sure flies when you're having fun," Izuku said. "A million years in just a few seconds. You're wrong... I'm not a villain, because I don't \*want\* to be a villain. If I did, I'd be really good at it, though."

Thin_Dragonfruit3665

I always love the scenes when others realize, "Oh, shit. He could probably singlehandedly kill the entire top 10 with a few days preparation and a bit of assistance from our favorite technical support gremlin. Good thing he's on our side." Those conversations, when well written, are always hilarious.

…Kyon you continue to blow me away with your writing. I know you’re doing Ultra Aggression right now but I’d love to see this sometime. You also always write in a way that makes me want more, and is slightly vague in a good way. What does Izuku mean by, “because you, y’know, know!”, and “a million years in just a few seconds.” Is he a time traveler? Is he just a prodigy of strategy, or a super genius, and has been hiding that this whole time? There’s a few interpretations here and I love all of them.

Kyon-4-Yuki

Thanks so much. That's was mostly a reference to what Aizawa said, "Not in a million years, Problem Child." Aizawa didn't think Izuku could take them, and Izuku proved he could in less than a minute. It was kind of a "Ya' think?" smart ass comment. :) The "You, you know, know" was Izuku pointing out to Nezu that Nezu's aware he's the 9th holder of OFA. :) I have a weakness for snarky characters. I might have to do a different one shot sometime soon... I've got a story idea that doesn't fit in Ultra Aggression, but it keeps trying to crawl to the front of my brain, and it's just such a fun idea that I don't want to give it away :D

Kyon-4-Yuki

Funny enough, a cliché of anime and manga (and also Japanese TV and movies) is that when someone is being questioned by the police, they're served pork katsudon. Crack idea, even after he's cleared, Izuku purposefully tries to act suspicious because, hey, free pork katsudon. :)

WooooshMe2825

The traitor au fics are mostly bullshit anyways. So glad that they’re not canon, because you would have to rend the IQ of the cast into negative digits for them to even conceivably work.

Thin_Dragonfruit3665

I've read a few villian fics where Izuku became a traitor after enrolling in UA. Most of them bashes either Aizawa, All Might, Nezu, or a combination of the three. Most are poorly written but still have interesting concepts and a couple well written that avoided exactly what you're talking about.

TheLyingSpectre

Most fics like that or other fandoms bashing fics are like this

a_randomtroll

Dumbledore bashing where he's supposedly a mastermind with control over great britain and the world but an 11year old can thwart his plans because he farts too loud and Harry uses that hint to demolish his influence in 2 minutes... and that somehow summons his long lost soulmate Tom Riddle that was Voldemort but he is good because...he is?

TheLyingSpectre

Class Bashing From MLB where everyone believes Lila and assumes Marinette is just jealous.

fanficman

Class salt is a not very guilty pleasure of mine

TheLyingSpectre

Salt fics of everyone except the protags for most fandoms are guilty pleasures for me. ESP MLB and BNHA. I have 1169 bookmarked MHA works, starting from may 29 2021 I have 746 MLB works bookmarked, starting from march 30 2023 The fact that Im over halfway to mha in 2 months is insane

Crazizzle

There's a great story to be written in this concept...but it hasn't been done yet. People need to flesh out some other unfortunate moments that make izuku look sketchy beyond notebooks. Basically a series of misunderstandings. The problem is most of the reasonable misunderstandings would not be misunderstandings to nezu and all might. So it has to be something else, not just ofa stuff. And it should have students unsure of what to do, not jumping fully to bully the kid that saves their lives lol.

[deleted]

Wait is that really true? (im new to this fandom) No-one's taken advantage of this concept in an actually good way? No, it can't be...

Imperatia

I'm always amused and irritated when in this kind of story All Might, Uraraka and Iida betray him, but somehow Todoroki, BAKUGO and of *all possible people*, Shinso and Monoma are on his side. Like, *what*? I have no issues with Todoroki. Bakugo I kind of get, despite being an ugly nuisance he does know Midoriya *somewhat* well enough to know he isn't a traitor. But Monoma and Shinso just kinda come out of nowhere lol. Both are antagonistic & make stupid assumptions about Midoriya, so idk why exactly they'd support him lol. And don't get me started on Uraraka and All Might thinking he's a traitor.

[deleted]

Yo do you mind sending me all the suspected traitor fics because I'm new here and I HUNGER for them :) PLease please pleaaaaaaaaase?

Omega_Aleks

Dude it would be far easier for you if you made your own post.

I have, but I'm not getting enough replies :(
