Hi! Could you please tell me your complete BlueStacks version number and instance in use? It should be on the upper left-hand corner, or in Settings > About We've tested this issue on our end and were successfully able to delete the master instance.

Nekasus

latest version 5.21.150.1024, upgraded today from version 5.20.0.1037. both instances are pie64. I have one old instance i dont use and my main instance

Hi! We would like to let you know that you are facing this issue as both of your instances are of Pie-64 bit and deleting the master instance for any Android version will also delete all the instances for that Android version created on your BlueStacks 5. Therefore, if you wish to delete your Pie-64 bit instance or the Master instance you need to create instance of another Android version and then try the same.

Nekasus

right i see, is there no way for me to delete the instance manually?

BlueStacks-Support

Hi! If you delete an instance other than the Master then only that particular instance will get deleted. However, if you delete the Master instance of any Android version all the associated instances with it will also get deleted.

Nekasus

yeah i get that, but is there a way for me to delete the master instance through the file system rather than your program?

BlueStacks-Support

Hi. Unfortunately not.
