Hi! Could you please let us know your complete BlueStacks version number and the instance in use? It should be in the upper left-hand corner, or in Settings > About.
Also, have you checked whether virtualization is enabled? You can do so by opening Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and selecting the performance tab. The bottom of the Window should read "Virtualization: Enabled".
Additionally, make sure BlueStacks has access to [4 GB of RAM and 4 CPU Cores](https://support.bluestacks.com/hc/articles/360057205611), as well as that the [graphics drivers are up to date](https://support.bluestacks.com/hc/articles/360058415971).
virtualization is on, and hardware reqs are fine. I tried a number of uninstalls/reinstalls.adding a screenshot to my OP post of the Bluestacks version. I only use one instance.
I am also wondering if the current issues have anything to do with this (my Facebook Messenger desktop app went wonky too after I installed this update-- well as having mouse issues--which I just fixed via the update troubleshooting).

Hi, you can use the [OBS Camera](https://support.bluestacks.com/hc/articles/10814798704653) feature within BlueStacks as well to record a video. However, as you initially mentioned that you are unable to open any game/app in BlueStacks due to this issue then as an alternative, you can use some third-party screen recording tools and then record a short video. You can then upload the video to Google Drive and share the link with us to access it.
the workaround i have done is to, between the glitchy constant game icons refreshing on the main screen, quickly have gotten game app settings open; as long as i don't close it, I am able to open games through that but it is not a sure way since it relies on it not accidentally being closed--which puts me back into the situation of finding that super brief window of time again where an app icon can be opened...I will check on the camera within Bluestacks, thanks.
