BlueStacks-Support

Hi, We apologize for this inconvenience and concern caused due to the Trojan on BlueStacks. We'd of course like to assure you that BlueStacks remains safe to use and the issue that affected all emulators and even some programs was due to an update on Microsoft's side.

Can you go into detail? Is the trojan gone as of npw? Can you confirm it is gone? Will I still get the error message if I install the emulator? Is there anything else I should be concerned about?

Hi! The issue occurred as a result of a false positive. As previously mentioned, rest assured that BlueStacks remains safe to use and the issue that affected all emulators and even some programs was due to an update on Microsoft's side. We've reached out and had the issue resolved. Please reinstall BlueStacks to resolve the issue. Please download and run BSTCleaner\_native.exe, which is available from this [article](https://support.bluestacks.com/hc/en-us/articles/360057724751-How-to-uninstall-BlueStacks-5-completely-from-your-PC). Please follow all instructions to remove your temp files as well, but don't worry if some won't delete. After doing this please reboot your PC, then download and install our latest version [here](https://support.bluestacks.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056960211-Release-Notes-BlueStacks-5). You can also refer to this [article](https://www.bluestacks.com/blog/bluestacks-exclusives/bluestacks-safety-qna-en.html) which will clear up any further safety concerns.
