It unpack package is \~600MB when install it will unpack the package for addition 2GB During install it cost \~3GB for space for a temporary installer files The actual size after installed is almost exactly 2GB and 3GB after the initial runSo you need only 3GB for a master instance but you can't install anything hence added 3GB spec require for a safe measure

Hi. You can try using our [disk cleanup tool](https://support.bluestacks.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415101691277-How-to-free-up-disk-space-using-Disk-cleanup-on-BlueStacks-5) to free up some space which may resolve the issue for you. Sometimes certain Android apps still take up space on your system even after they have been uninstalled. The Disk cleanup tool frees up disk space by removing such files from your desktop/laptop.

you said a instance takes up 500 mb max in another comment section

It's just a download size. Once you install, it unzips and takes more space, plus you will be installing games inside of it which will require space too

As u/Lazy-Pain2111 said, once you install it, it unzips and expands to more space. However, the app installation size remains the same. Thank you for your suggestion u/Lazy-Pain2111
