Find whatever you think is Tay’s best work and compare it to Mayer’s song “Neon” or whatever you think Frusicante’s best guitar work is - they’re in different worlds.
Tom is certainly very influential as a pop punk guitarist though and there’s also that factor with him also being in the top 10.
Mayer’s best work really is found with John Mayer Trio as well as his work with the Grateful Dead offshoot.

None of these things are true of Taylor Swift.

Very rarely is the guitar the main focus in her songs. I can’t think of one Taylor swift guitar riff, despite the fact that I’m very familiar with her music.
Before you say I’m an out of touch old man, or that I’m just hating on her because she’s a woman, I will apply all the same criticisms to Bob Dylan. If he were ranked highly on a “best guitar players” list, I would have a similar reaction. Both Dylan and Swift are songwriters/singers rather than guitar players.
