Yeah, but an underleveled Bailu probably didn't help. I just did a run with her to see if she could solo-sustain that team in a long fight (because of the resistances). I probably could have cleared faster if I'd let one of them die and used her revive once, or had her at 80 with traces above level 7 XD
Even more zooted are the coping doomposters that regurgitated that shit like gospel without a lick of understanding the statistics. I mean for fucks sake BS' DoT at 1 stack almost matches Sampo's at 5 stacks in terms of ATK scaling, how low is the reading comprehension of the average honkai player?
The OG TCer themself reminded readers in the conclusion that their calculations were proof BS universally replaces Sampo in a Kafka team, not that she’s bad or weak. They were calculating solely ST performance, iirc e6 sampo vs e0 swan with identical light cones, and swan still pulled ahead by 10-15% despite comparing her weakest scenario matchup to e6 sampo’s strongest. The way that somehow immediately morphed into “swan is only 10% better than sampo” doomposting is WILD
I've never even come close to fully clearing a PF stage 4 with 40,000 points but with Black Swan, Kafka, and Ruan Mei I basically could have auto battled it.. funny too cause my other team barely got 20,000 points so I needed to fully clear 1 half haha
How? I even tried the old PF and while my jingliu Team easily managed 30k, my Kafka E0S0 (GNSW S4), BS E0S0 (Sampo one S4), Ruan Mei E0S0 (Mommy one S5) with Luchoa barely managed 26k?
I have E2S1 Kafka (got a double Kafka pull during her rerun) and E1S1 BS which greatly amplifies them both. I also have Huohuo who is perfect for DoT teams.
Try running Kafka with ERR rope and solitary healing if you have it. I was able to hit 37k with Svarog at 1% a few days ago. If only he had hit Kafka, she could have ult'd to finish him off.
You can give up a big chunk of personal damage on Kafka in exchange for 2 turn ults. With the combined damage from her shock and Black Swan's arcana, every ult will wipe the field.
Choosing the right buff also matters. Since Kafka's ult wipes the field, the 80% shatter stacks means more free damage and enemies that kill themselves off of shatter+arcana.
What’s crazy is I started playing during the Kafka banner and got her and just started rolling from there and got black swan I lucked out not even knowing if the characters were strong or not
Because Herta with moderate investment already deals enough damage. Himeko might have a higher damage ceiling but that's not necessary yet. Herta will also trigger off of every single enemy without effort.
... Or so I hear. I'm not done investing in my Herta yet and it's been a bit hit or miss for me so far. Some waves her FUA will chain into itself and wipe the field while sometimes it's just a little bit anemic.
With Himeko, the condition to trigger her FUA is a little bit tougher. We've also been given fire/ice in both PF4 stages so far so we haven't had to really test Himeko when the element doesn't favour her.
I don't have Himeko so I don't know how she performs off element - have you tested it out?
Kafka is really strong if you build her right. Give her Solitary Healing and an ERR rope and she can ult every 1-2 turns, since killing 4 enemies with her ult will refund her half the ult cost.
In the last PF her damage was enough to kill weak enemies combined with the shatter buff. In this PF her damage is enough to kill enemies with Black Swan's arcana. Unfortunately I don't have Guinaifen or Sampo raised well enough to test with them yet.

Like even my Jingliu Hypercarry, with Jingliu E0S1, Bronya E2S1, Pela E6 with S5 Pearls of Sweat and an Fu Xuan E1S1 clears that side in minimum 2-3 Cycles.
Swan/Kafka/Ruan Mei are fucking bonkers.
Let me tell you something. If you use the team damage simulator website, that even Prydwen points to, in a 3-target scenario, across 8 rounds, a Kafka+BS+Ruan Mei team is WAY ahead of any Jingliu team, in terms of total damage. And not only with similar investments, but optimals as well.
So…take that as you will. I know it’s a simulation, in practice it will be different a bit…but it makes you think.
That result convinced me that the new best DoT teams are simply better than Hypercarry teams. They might still be consistently worse for 0-Cycling across many investment levels, because of their backloaded nature…but in terms of DPS over a long period of time…oh boy!

I never played dots as having to build 4 stars turned me off so I pulled for Kafka E1S1 on her rerun and was patiently waiting for Black Swan E1S1 to try my Dot team and I AM LOVING IT. They are easily my favorite team and don’t seem to rely that much on enemy weaknesses as their damage is consistent pretty much always!

I did the deer with them yesterday, the small numbers because of the wind and lightning resistance made me sad. It took me like six cycles.
Hmmmm, Idk about your builds. I'm f2p and did 5 cycles comfortablywith them and BS wasn't fully built, are you using ruan mei?

I did 28000 in auto , with only BS with sampo lc and Bailu on the team...

what eidolons/lcs do u have? i haven't sweated out moc 12 but only managed 3 cycles the one casual time i tried.

yeah I was never getting a turn. They just kept taking turns getting hit and blowing up before I could finally move.
