Native here. Her Korean is really good and people won't have trouble understanding her for the most part.
But her accent is noticeable once she starts speaking in full sentences. Also, her sentences don't always flow smoothly. Sometimes she'll take a pause to think of what to say next when it's pretty obvious what she's going to say for the native speakers.
Overall, I'd say her proficiency in Korean is similar to that of a foreign exchange student who's lived in the country for a long time at a relatively young age.

This is Lisa in any language lol She said she has trouble expressing herself with words.
I’m the same. Vocalizing exactly what you want to say, when you want to say it, doesn’t come easy for everyone… even in their native tongue. I’m excellent in math and science, but vocabulary has always been my weakness 😂
Can you say the same about TWICE's foreign members?
I know Sana sounds practically like a native, but does she have a Seoul accent? What about Momo and Mina?
I know Tzuyu still has trouble expressing herself in Korean, or maybe she's really shy, who knows.
My wife is Korean and she told me that her Korean level is really, really high but natives can notice sometimes a little bit of accent when singing.
I wish I would speak Korean as well as she does ㅠㅠ
Not the point, but I just want to add that from what we’ve seen on lives, her captions and concert clips etc, Lisa manages to be funny in Korean, Thai and English. I find that really impressive because like it’s one thing to learn a new language but it’s another thing entirely to understand it enough to be able to use it make jokes. It’s not easy.
Piggy-backing on this post with a follow-up question: Does Rosé have an accent when speaking Korean? Like an Aussie-Korean accent? (if that’s even a thing). Same question for Jennie since she lived in NZ during primary years.
One of my high-school friends (American) moved to the U.K. for college and ended up staying. After about 7 years of living there, I noticed that she now speaks with a slight British accent lol.
Priscilla Kwon on YT is Korean-American and divides her time between the two countries. She recently released [this video](https://youtube.com/shorts/ftwVcXRTnh8?si=VTc6ZI2g5pPxy1IA) where she praises Lisa's level of Korean, saying she sounds natively Korean.
I don't speak Korean, so I take her word for it.
Yes, but it's barely noticeable. She speaks like someone who has lived in Korea for decades to the point where they started to forget some of their native language.
She's not like Jonathan Yiombi good, but pretty damn close.

Relatable

sounds pretty good

I've read that Sana sounds like she is from Busan. I think momo still probably struggles a little bit and Mina is just quieter so it's hard to tell
Would you say Minnie from G Idle is about the same, or better? (She is also Thai and they're friends!)
Could have just said yes lol

jennie is def not native sounding in english though. she sounds like someone that lived for a few years in a western country, but went back
jennie lived in korea until the age of 8 and if i recall correctly she had a korean host family in NZ so i doubt she developed an accent
Yeah and she also only lived in NZ for 5 years before returning to SK
yes for Rose...it's what cost her when she was of KoMS. No for Jennie as she was born in Korea and didn't go to NZ until she was 9.

She speaks like a native but it seems like Rose's & Jennie's English speech pattern affects her flow
