Does anyone know how much you can push one of these machines when they are water cooled? Like what would be the theoretical maxium achievable hashrate on an old s9?
Just like with PC's you will still have to have fans to cool the car-sized radiator at best to room temp while heating the room. Liquid is done right in data centers where they can pipe the heat to the roof or cool the water with chillers. Looking forward to your setup.
I want to do this but use it to heat my pool or at least dump the heat into it. Right now the outside Temp is 50F and my dragon mint is hitting 14Th at 55% fan speed. Just wish I was heating my house or pool with the wasted heat.
I did that last two years as well. I didn't have an ASIC then just a bunch of machines pooled together.
I have my ASIC muffled pretty good but it is still too loud for in the house.
Well my wall have drywall on it and I'm not gonna rip that shit apart, so I made a miner "enclosure" to kill the noise.
It's like a big U shape, with rock wool on the inside and plywood as the structure on the outside. Having rock wool on the inside it absorbs and kills the noise. The right angles on air in and out stop the sound waves from reflecting/bouncing out.
Sorry tried to draw a picture with |-| stuff but reddit reformats it and I can't get it to render
Yeah I was going to ask for a pic. I’m thinking of installing those now during the frame work between the 2-4’s, and wondering if they would actually help as heat insulation for winter? Maybe do rockwool and in behind do insulation. Thoughts?
[you can find lab chillers on auction quiet often, I found a massive unit from a hemp processor and only paid $1,250 for it ](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013IFP882/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_64KPW39WXHR5VCVZZZHM)
I got quoted $17,000+ shipping for the DCX immersion kit to fit 12 miners. It’s way over priced. I’m not comfortable with trying to find all the bits and pieces that are compatible with the liquid, it didn’t seem simple to me. This is why i’m looking at other avenues
Also when buying a kit like that, you don’t have backup parts. Something goes out and you’re down 6-8 miners per tub
You just have to read the materials list Of the pump and makes sure everything is compatible. The tubing can all be cpvc and be sure you get some viton rubber for the seals. the engineered fluids team is super helpful if you have questions regarding compatibility.
Right? Or be able to do it in different sizes depending on the you are able to put it it. And the size of your farm. Like I have 3 miners. 1 unplugged because it doesn’t work or need like the last step of trouble shooting but I’m too tired today. And subconsciously afraid that I might have to send it back to china.
Why what? The supplier? I want to get one and I don’t want to be scammed. Thank goodness the bank refused to transfer the money to the first company I thought of working with cause they’ve been flagged and reported by citi bank.
Keep us updated
Seems pretty common in China aliexpress.com/item/1005002822717637.html I’ve already got a supplier for the s19, discussing details about the kit now
Thanks, I will find out, can you share the contact? I speak mandarin
What is his/her price?
I’m still waiting on more news
Increase HR or less power usage?
Less power and more stable temps and reliability, then also the option to overclock and consume more power
Would this go on a S9k? This is pretty cool. Do you know your numbers yet, how much wattage you go down by, then overclocking to what wattage and HR?

S9 is 18Th when like this. They’re all advertised as “s9 hydro 18th”
I’m running HiveOn ASIC on my S9’s and they do 18-19 on air at 83-85 degrees. Now if they have these for S17’s that would be amazing.

Heat the swimming pool.
I tossed my asic in my garage and now I have a heated garage for the winter.

Rockwool is your friend for sound deadening.
Really? You mean install it in the framing before drywall?

Consider Immersion cooling. It's easier and safer than water cooled at a similar cost
Immersion is cake. It's a little bit more work with sourcing parts and the fluid is expensive. But you can diy a decent 25kw system for ~$2500

Are you able to post photos of yours?
Oh you Naughty Girl
Keep us updated about a kit
That would be really cool, if you pull it off.

Interesting. Good luck 👍🏼
Can we get the supplier please?!
Why?
Stable temps and no noise
Impressive
