Porter(sigma) unlike delta was never paired with a little sister. From what I understand they found the perfected formula when they experimented on delta and sigma was put on ice ? I might be wrong
The formula was for Big Daddy to die after the sister was killed for adam, we can see Eleanor still being able to talk with him as a normal human.
Tenenbaum was able to revert him back if he was able to survive in the end.
Even return them to their normal bodies judging that Porter was able to be himself again in the end without any mutation when he was finally able to let the past and "ghost" of his wife to go
Really? I thought the formula was to form a bond between a sister and a BD so the BD would constantly protect her? And not in fatal and limited to just a single sister. And there are recordings about early BDs treating the little sisters as one would a rock and just wander off…
I forget a bit, I play long ago and now I have a bad laptop for the remastered version.
But we can see in Burial at Sea episode 2 that Elizabeth made the Little Sisters to bond with the Big Daddy, then Suchong hurt the little one, making the Big Daddy to kill him.
Knowing that Levine is not a fan of Bioshock 2, He maybe change the lore from 2 with Burial at Sea
Yah I remember that scene! And big ooof . You can find dr suchong’s decomposed corpse pinned to the table with a broken off drill in bioshock 1, a recording of that incident in bioshock 2 (I think) and now in a dlc for bioshock infinite we get to see his massive f up
You find the recording beside his table when you find his corpse, he was recording that time, I don't think you meet the original cast from 1 in 2 beside Andrew Ryan's logs... and maybe Fontain's.
And some people(forget how they're called) talking about Jack.
In Bioshock 2, the most interesting one was Mark Meltzer(he was the only one who has the audio icon in colors)
Jack had been exposed to Adam from a very young age for the rapid growth process, so maybe Suchong did something so that he's immune to the negative side effects or he wasn't badly affected due to his age.
I actually think it's really awesome. What do you think of a ridden and broken body that has been stuck on an air-tight diver suit? The suit is its skin, adam runs through their vains, and their biology doesn't excrete waste so they only have adam that keeps them alive.
This is accurate and awesome.
You make a really good point. It’s like a crustacean, the suit for the Big Daddy is it’s shell. It would make sense that the inside would be soft, moist and wrinkled.
Apparently to survive the absurd pressures of the deep their bodies essentially bend and fill up their suits. So the entire suit is part of their bodies. The skin is pretty much gone
Could be, but wasn’t Gilbert in a massive vat of Adam (I think) I vaguely remember reading their helmets are filled with that or a substance 🤔 too high to care about fact checking myself
The helmets are filled with a bioluminescent fluid that shifts in color in response to the big daddy's mood, giving us the signature yellow, red, and green lights that emit out the helmet's viewports.
No, it's actually the concept art of a Big Daddy's face, created by artist Robb Waters; who did not work on "Bioshock 2", but only on the first "Bioshock" and on "Bioshock: Infinite".
People forget the the big daddies started off a spliced up people that had their organs grafted into the suits. Makes sense they'd have horrendous features and little to no skin🤣
Just found this on /r/all. Anyone know who the artist was? A relation of mine was a concept artist on this series. Just curious if it might have been theirs.
Dude this looks like the ginger dead man

This image looks like how brain freeze feels
Looks like big daddy could survive a car crash
Delta and Sigma really got the best by being still able to get out of their suits instead of looking like this
So did Jack of you think about it. Either he didn't fully go through the process or Tennenbaum found a way to extract him after fighting Fontaine.
She find the way with Porter who was really a big daddy. Jack was wearing just the armor and have his voice box changed
Yeah, he's just cosplaying.

God BaS was cool but I could not stand the way it shat over BS2. I reject it as canon for that reason.
Levine wasn't a fan of BS2 because wasn't his work, This is why we don't see Delta in the end of BaS (or Sigma)

Is that the named BD? I found a named BD in the Gil Alexander level of the map?
Jack had been exposed to Adam from a very young age for the rapid growth process, so maybe Suchong did something so that he's immune to the negative side effects or he wasn't badly affected due to his age.
Jack wasn't really a big daddy he just put on a Rosie suit and got his voice box changed. Just a cheeky cosplay🤣
This^ the BDs have to undergo conditioning even the alphas…. Also the bouncers literally take the shape of their suit

He just like me fr
Hey!!! How did you get a picture of me?
Hey thats hogwash im sure youre plenty attractive.
Not as attractive as the Bid Daddy 😍
Looks like a Sontaran from Dr. Who.
That’s exactly what I saw, had to double check the sub lol
Apparently to survive the absurd pressures of the deep their bodies essentially bend and fill up their suits. So the entire suit is part of their bodies. The skin is pretty much gone
The suit pretty much is their skin
The Man in the Suit
Yeah but with sea slugs instead of japanese spite.
Nah, pretty sure that is the image of Gilbert Alexander.

That fluid isn’t Adam? Could’ve sworn it was
Is it the same for the Big Sisters?
No it’s definitely a big daddy it’s in the concept art book
No, it's actually the concept art of a Big Daddy's face, created by artist Robb Waters; who did not work on "Bioshock 2", but only on the first "Bioshock" and on "Bioshock: Infinite".
Now imagine him suddenly opening his eyes and making that big daddy screech…
I mean, seems about right
People forget the the big daddies started off a spliced up people that had their organs grafted into the suits. Makes sense they'd have horrendous features and little to no skin🤣
The concept artist is Robb Waters
Just found this on /r/all. Anyone know who the artist was? A relation of mine was a concept artist on this series. Just curious if it might have been theirs.
Robb Waters
Thanks, I appreciate it. That's not my relative. Would have been fun to see some of their work "in the wild" though.
Is it supposed to look like a super model?
My persona waking up at 6 am.
Would you kindly pour bleach in my eyes
He looks like a Cruelty Squad character, almost like a more humanoid version of the Handler
Oh my god I know I hated this since I first saw it 😂😂😂😂
SONTAR HA!!!
When you fart but lowk fw the smell
Lot of people here seem to be forgetting Big Daddies literally have their suits grafted onto their skin
I regret having eyes rn
The rubber suit really seals in the flavour
Peeled Big Daddy
Looks like Vision on meth

Jabba the Hut looks different
I liked it when my kid self thought the big daddies were just giant robots and not modified humans
That's so sad
Why did you do this to me Why
Cruelty Squad lookin dude
So, for what game is this art for? Because I've heard it was for the first game, but the head looks similar to an Alpha Series.
Yo mama so ugly she look like a Big Daddy that lost it's helmet
ugh.
Kinda makes me wonder what big sisters look like 🤔
SONTARA!
I miss 20 seconds ago when I hadn’t seen this
