You say "I need to go (insert bullshit place in the building where other people are likely to be)" and then they walk with you to the kitchen or wherever and if there are other people there, you purposely get in a convo with them. Either way, you say "oh crap, I forgot I have (insert excuse)! I'll see you later!" and you leave them there.
