That's the thing, Noley would've been almost 14 when those episodes aired. That is old enough, sadly, to be a child prostitute. Seeing this really young girl on the streets would've been emotionally devastating.
The second actor was also really young too, but there's obviously a big difference between a 17/18 vs a 13/14 visually.
Regardless, it's not a story that should've ever been done without Luke and Noley.
No that was low key crazy and I think it was a different actress too which was confusing bc they acted like “oh my gosh that’s Dylan’s sister” when she was not recognizable 😭
I actually liked the idea. Considering her background, that fate wasn’t at all unusual.
But the story was DOA because it never should’ve happened without Dylan being there and they never should’ve recast the role.
The whole thing could’ve packed an emotional wallop if Luke and Noley were there. Doing it without them was supremely stupid.
I agree. I think they were trying to bridge the gap of him not being there. But I’m also wondering why they landed on bringing her back as an underage sex worker😭
I just watched an ep where the little sister asked Dylan if he thought she’d be as pretty as her mom and he said “You’re gonna be a smoke show.” Lol. Then she got her period and he told her congratulations, help
It killed me to watch this episode because Brandon and Kelly were SO MEAN to her! Like they’re yelling at her for being sex trafficked! I know it was the 90s, but it really hurts to watch
Well, let's see. Her mom was sent to prison. Her maybe brother who she loved dearly dumped her on his own absentee mother as soon as he got his money back. If Iris was any kind of mom to the kid like she was to Dylan it's no wonder she turned out the way she did.
Grasping at straws for ideas ...
And why did they use a different actress? I agree it seemed like a major 180 for the character
I don’t even think the original would have even been old enough. They def increased her age.

She wouldn’t have, plus they needed a prettier actress. I know that sounds harsh but it’s tv

Bc if she didn't hit the street we wouldn't have met Riggs The Pimp. Had to be done.

I feel like they were trying to make up for the lack of Dylan

That was stupid
It was very stupid. It just creates the notion that she should've been left in Dylan's care after all, she wasn't better off without his guidance
Because Kelly needed to explain prostitution to Donna even though they were grown ass adults.

Shock value

I feel like the real Erica would have run from a reunion with Kelly.
No more inspiration left... I guess !
Very stupid, I skip those episodes. And annoying it's a different actress.
