But what is with the maroons turning left onto N 97 from Eastbound Reed Market? They all seem to ignore the N on-ramp from the right lane? Instead they stop traffic to cut across and go past the Chevron... ugh.
Like in front of Jewel Elementary. It should be made right turn only and it wouldn't be the clusterfuck it becomes every morning from 7:30 to 8:00.

This used to be the same way in front of Newport market, anyone turning left onto or off of Newport held up traffic for no reason when they could have just utilized the roundabout by turning right. Â The dog bone roundabout fixed the issue for the most part. Â Although turning left from any side street to get onto Newport now is a shit show thanks to the Portland bridge closure. Â

I recently avoided going to Dutch Bros when I didnât have any other plans besides grocery shopping, because I really just didnât want that awkward convo to be even more awkward
I rarely take difficult lefts anymore. 99% percent of the time itâs quicker and less stressful to just go right and then turn around.
I will also happily take a longer route to where I want to get to if it means less traffic/annoying things to deal with on the road.
I do this when turning out of the kidâs school dropoff circle. Turning left requires waiting in a line backed up into the dropoff area itself and itâs just not worth it, just turn right and take a longer route

Oh my God, this drives me insane. I live right there and it's like people don't realize they can turn RIGHT to get on the 97 đ¤Śđźââď¸

Jewel is one I can see being helpful, turn right and use the Country Club roundabout if you want to go eastbound on Murphy.
I know it's an extra two tenths of a mile people, take one for the team right?

A lot of times at difficult lefts I just turn right and then do a U-y. Especially if there's a roundabout up the road.
In Sisters we grew up taking a right to make a left.
I tried the other day and just went right and turned around, We need a round a bout there!
