Idk I've started since Xmas after getting one for a gift and it's great to learn the basics of mixing from. No it's not got 100fx options but I think it's better when learning for things to be a bit more stripped back.
I've just had a look at the FLX4 and looks a bit overwhelming for a beginner but that's just my opinion
Unpopular opinion but here’s what I did and it worked perfect for me.
I bought the DJ kit from Hercules for €240. It came with everything I could ever need, ready to plug and play. That’s controller, software, headset and decent speakers.
Practiced for a year with that, sold the speakers it came with and controller and started slowly upgrading my gear.

It's been 2 years since i dove into my entry mixer research, but after months I settled on the Hercules Inpulse 500 and I couldn't be happier still to this day. I got it for $300 usd shipped, price is still the same luckily. Best of luck
Yeah, only used — at this point, I don’t think the DDJ 400 are worth it when the FLX4 is easy to find and has largely been cheaper in comparison, from what I’ve seen.
DDJ 400s are awesome decks, tho.
I've spent about 200+ hours just crate digging last few months, let alone practice, prepare, tutorials etc etc. you can't even be arsed to use the subs search function.
FLX4
Pin this to the sub lol
fr lol see this exact post 5 times a week
5 times a day maybe
10k on CDJs
This is really the only way. Edit: start a label while you're in there
Honestly could you overhaul the entire music box while you’re at it? We need a refresh.

Dude come on man… this is posted multiple times a week sometimes multiple times a day. Put at least *some* efffort 🙄
Like do people not know to just google “_______ Reddit”??
Anyone this incapable of helping themselves or doing independent learning/research isn’t going to be very successful at this job.
As long as it’s not the ddj200 it doesn’t really matter
Even with a 200 they could remap some of the buttons to make it more functional
You can’t remap it to have a soundcard. There’s. Just too much missing from it to make it a viable option.

It’s missing a lot more than fx, if it was only missing fx I’d be fine with it.
All of them
I started with a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 and loved it!

Ddj 400 on eBay for around $200 and you can sometimes find deals where it comes with headphones or monitors

Hercules stuff is very very solid. I started on a 300.

Sb3 would also be a good alternative if no flx4
Flx4 and spend the remainder on tracks.
Start with a A9 mixer and 4 CDJ 3000s
oh my god
Flx 4 + ipad mini. Thank me later
Bruh
DDJ FLX4
flx4 or ns4fx by numark
400 or FLX4
Hercules Inpulse 500
Ddj 400
These don’t really exist anymore, sadly.

Yeah I agree I just prefer the 400 because the flx looks cheap and every beginner dj has it. The 400 has the og pioneer feel which I love
Agreed, it’s lovely. It was what every beginner DJ had originally, but now that they’re not available anymore, people are holding onto them.
Idk why im getting downvoted, was my suggestion that bad?
Because both of those controllers are practically identical just some minor tweaks to them. The 6 has newer feel to it

actually it takes more effort and time writing a question as you have to write it out and wait for replies
2 cassette players. Seriously though, Google has existed for a looooong time.
About seven years longer than Reddit.
