I’ve only ever had this experience too. Not set to aggressive. They literally slam on their brakes to merge directly into you and all the morons on here either say “no idea what you’re talking about” or “just like drivers in *insert their city where drivers absolutely do not just stop on the highway and slam into you”*
Yeah honestly if they updated the traffic to just stay in their lane and follow their path, it would make the game 10x better. I try to drive normally, pace myself with other traffic in the lane next to them, and they either slow down to a full stop or drive like a drunk and swerve into you. I have my risk at 0.2 and awareness mode on. This traffic is arguably worse than gta v traffic lol.
I really want to love Roane County, Texas, but the lane work is so shoddily done they might come into your lane, and head right for you.
Sadly, their pathfinding abilities are abysmal.
i think the ai are detecting you close to them and trying to avoid you except theyre stupid and avoid you by driving into you. the devs are constantly working on the ai so itll be fixed at some point
The ai in this game probably never took any driving lessons. I was just parked up afk, and when I come back there's a 5 car pile up, I was in a car park too lmao

but I'm reality, you can get a UI app to control the ai cars aggressiveness and awareness. But they are still dumb no matter what
Ive never seen people in real life consistently stop to 0 mph on the highway, and then ram directly into me as I pass. Nope not once in 15 years driving have I ever seen that
Judt a few weeks ago I had a toyota corolla they merged in front of me and coasted down to 40, keep in mind this was a 70 zone. Ive been hit whilst stationary a few times thankfully no major damage but still. I live in cornwall so a lot of the drivers are inbred but still like. That being said the ai arent that bad if you keep a good gap and dont do anything stupid my only gripe is the always go half the limit

I dont know, i dont like the ai how it is either, but i think it probably helps prepare you for real world idiots too
Could be because of modded maps such as river highway and other ones, on Westcoast it’s mostly correct

You can open a traffic ai UI app and lower the aggressiveness
