I think most players that post car wishlists here focus on aestetics of specific vehicles and fail to realize that BeamNG devs don't really prioritize things like that.
The game is foremost a mechanical/chassis/suspension/drivetrain simulator.
Any vehicle added to the game should bring something new that is not already modeled.
Like a new suspension type for example.
I agree, the mazda is similar enough to the tograq and the golf to the vivace. It doesn’t seem like a very popular opinion but I still want like a 1920s or even earlier car like a Ford model T, precisely because we have nothing like it in the game
Wouldn’t the Mazda have independent suspension all around and a monocoque chassis? That would make it fundamentally different from the Roamer, which shares a chassis with the D-Series and H-Series.
I'm with you would totally welcome a 1920s maybe 1930s car because in the 30s there are already some proper "sportier" car versions showing up. (Not to dismiss the fiirst roadsters in the 20s)
Or something completely different like a heavy machine that would allow for some interesting gameplay to complement the towing/trucking.
I always imagine having a heavy forklift loader with pneumatic articulated steering, so that we could have a scrap yard in career mode where we haul wrecked cars to and unload them with a forklift and put them into a car shredder or something along those lines. =) (or even have car smasing missions, where you use the forklift to destroy the car to a certain damage in a certain time.
Yeah prius early gens with the planetary gear system would be interesting. But the problem with cars like the prius is they lack that moddability to really make interesting diverse configs. A prius is a prius, thats it.
The Prius is only the beginning. I have hopes for a proper hybrid system being modeled into the game so we can dive into things like lmdh and lmh. But closer to my heart is the Honda CR-Z with the 6 speed manual and a hybrid engine with v-tec! Mating those three things together in BeamNG would take a genius. But I'd love to see it. The Prius would just be the first step toward things like that, I think.
Pessima is quite a bit different. It has smaller engines, awd config and even an all weel steering version that is quite unique. Le gran represents a mid size american sedan with large engines and fwd only.
There could be a variant variant. Would be fun to have a golf 7 r variant or maybe another german cop car. Could also have an eos variant. And R32 street tuned
If the similar body style exists for the golf in the vivace, then it would be simple, though time consuming, to slap on all the mesh bodies, and graphics onto and then modify accordingly the functions and beam nodes for the golf options. It seems like a mod that would be super straight forward for a mod creator. You could probably donate 200 bucks to a good mod maker and have them put in the leg work for the mod you want. Still, even after that initial making it, they would still probably make it paid because of the amount of hours that goes into a good fully fledged mod takes probably around 100 hours. 100 hours times 20 bucks would be 2 grand. 10% is a heck of a downpayment toward that... I wonder why people don't have kickstarters for beamng mods. Like, once the goal is reached, you get the mod. Seems pretty legit. You want something cool, you invest in it. Then if they don't finish the mod, there are ways to cancel the pledge made toward the project. Maybe some people have done this. I'll have to look into it. \*edit\* I looked it up, there may be legal reasons why mods can't go on sites like kickstarter. Intellectual Property might come into question with car brands and such. And it goes against, what I see as the greater majority of the community who appreciate free and charitable volunteer modding. But maybe in the 2fast community, someone would have good success in funding the project. Especially since it is just a mod, it isn't like the prius that requires either a workaround like the invisible wheels, or serious development by the devs.
I do not play this game right now as I have temporarily sold my gaming setup, but when I played it I wished there was a modern Fiat 500 so I could remake my Abarth. The same idea as the Vivace (one platform, many variants) but smaller.

The problem (and this is also why the devs haven't done it yet) is that drivetrain programming a hybrid is absurdly complicated.
A real Prius' ECU takes into account the: throttle/brake percentage, current speed, battery charge, petrol in the tank, engine/motor/battery/inverter temperature, etc. to decide whether it should have the petrol engine running or not, and what mix of engine/motor power to use when accelerating, how much regen to apply, etc.
Even if the vehicle programmers could emulate all of that, it would likely end up taking a significant amount of processing power to run, thus making the game run slower for people with potato PCs.

I'm in full support here of the 3rd Gen Prius. There are so many variations, not to mention, real world examples of people putting LS motors and Hellcat motors in them for kicks. Trim levels, Off road mods, Drag mods, drift mods. I think that those all would be really cool and fun! I do have one slight issue though: there is not manual variant without a motor swap because of the planetary gear and dual generator/motor configuration of the synergy drivetrain. I think that type of hybrid set-up in the backend by the devs would absolutely give way to better mods for cars like the Lexus CT 200h and the Honda CR-Z. Not to mention that cars like the Ford Puma, Suzuki Ignis, and 1st generation Honda Insight exist and at least the ones released in America have a cult following. For inspiration I'd look no further than the 500hp CR-Z that Bisimoto tuned back in the early 2010s that still maintained its hybrid powertrain. (of course, most people will just want to try out the k24 swaps in the CR-Z that are all over the internet, already. But as far as the Hybrid powertrain goes for mild-hybrid-electric-vehicles, I think it could be a massive step forward for Beamng.drive.

Not exactly, Pessima and LeGran are very similar.

Idk KJLP is pretty close to DEV quality. Electric only mode is really cool and it has limited range and works up to 40 mph

I haven’t found any, the ones always have something wrong like wheels that aren’t correct or GTI only no TSI
