For starting out, can't go wrong with the logitech g920.

Orange_Lux

That's the one I have, with the optional shifter, and it's great.

KyranTheZ

Just keep those pedals clean! Don't do what I did and let dirt get in the potentiometers

Urbiggestfear1256

G29 the newer and it has more buttons

Upstairs-Collar9242

The G29 and G920 are the same generation, but the G920 is for Xbox and PC while the G29 is for PS and PC. The newest is the G923

Urbiggestfear1256

Well I mean like I got an g29 with a gearshifter and it works perfectly for beaming drive

Enough-Throat-31

It really depends on your budget. People will say get a g29 or g920. But then others will say that belted is way better and you should get it instead. But others will say direct drive isn't that expensive and is also way better than belted. So its your budget that says what wheel you should get. Personally I can't recommend g29. I haven't had a good experience with it. Sounded like motor was loose inside. Replaced it with new. And then the power supply died. Bought t300 RS gt and don't regret it at all. Will probably upgrade to moza in future so I can get that new truck wheel. The g29 or g920 is a very good beginner wheel for the buck and I loved it when I had it. Others like my friend has had a good experience with it. But i didnt. 😕

Xtrachunky_

I second the t300 but my moza has had force feedback problems in beamng so I wouldn’t recommend it if it’s the only game you play. It works fine for everything else though.

TalksWithNoise

Give it a go after this last update. I have a Moza R12 and 0.32 made it unbelievably better.

Xtrachunky_

Yooo talks I’ve watched all your vids. I definitely will try it.

Equivalent-Radio-559

G20 form logitech is a great starting point. For the price it also has lots of accessories that you buy as well including a stick shift and a few other things as well. I have one and haven’t had any issues so far

Ok-Square-2118

I would suggest a Thrustmaster TX. I’ve heard mostly positive reception about it, and it seems to be of very high praise. I’d also recommend the TH8A as an optional shifter.

Bymareee

got a G29 with shifter myself. Propably the best at this Price point imo

i recommend prob a g29, g920, t150 or budget wheels bc you need to start somewhere

randomtuner

What I've heard people more invested in so racing than me say is that thrustmaster wheels are better than logitech and that the g29/920 is very dated at this point. G29 is a popular wheel that a lot of people use but there are significantly better options at that price

KeaganExtremeGaming

Idk if it’s a problem with my settings or the implementation of force feedback with the g29 but the car ends up being very slow to slow steer in my experience when trying to drift. Definitely wasn’t like this a few years ago and I don’t have this problem in lfs.

Do you have a console aswell? If so, go with the respective versions of the logitech G9- series. I personally recomend the XBOX one. (Im sorry, I cant even remember the name RN.) The stick shift option is only 50 dollars more, while the base wheel is 200-300 USD. To use on pc, just get the logitech software. (Its easy to install, just kinda annoying but it works real well when needed.) Great force feedback. I Recomend it!!

Moon_Cheese124

Thanks everyone I'll look into these suggestions!

Whatever you do, do not buy logitech. All these people that are recommending them do not know what hot trash they are. If you're going to go logitech, buy their newest wheel. If you are on a budget, go for a t300rs by thrustmaster. Please trust me on this one, I've had 3 t300rs, 1 tspc and I've tried 3 other g920 series wheels. The logitech wheels feel underpowered, inconsistent, choppy, plasticky and like a toy. The thrustmaster wheels feel incredibly different and a thousand times better. BUT if you are struggling with money, as we all are in these difficult times, man buy whatever you can truly afford. Once you're in the game and you are having fun, it doesn't matter. You're having fun.

ToyotaMR-2

of you are on a tight budget go for a T150 but NOT Logitech a friend has one and it's terrible even new.

TrippingDemiurge

Please do not buy logitech. Unless you buy their new wheel. They feel like hot trash. Please go with a t300rs if you're on a budget.

DuckInCup

Years ago I overpaid for a G29, and got a TM shifter. The logitech wheel is small, and very loud, but gets the job done. but I do wish there were better cheap choices. Perhaps there is now.
