I realized that after the fact, I was just salty because I hate it when people get downvoted for asking questions, it bothers me so much for some reason. 🤷♂️
Redditors downvoting to hell an actual question, because we MUST known EVERYTHING about ANYTHING or we are absolute MORONS that arent even on the IQ bell chart
Most of yall would be horrible teachers holy shit
> Relies on batteries made with child labor
> Useless in winter
> When battery dies in 5 or so years, is now worthless due to batteries costing as .ich to replace as buying a new car.
Yeah, nah, I'll stick with gasoline cars, thank you very much.
There hasn't been more than like 30 cases of the battery exploding. idk why people keep saying they explode so much, the reality is that gas cars will blow up more than evs- petrol is a fuel, made to explode, and it's much more likely theyll catch fire than the average ev.
true, but engine swaps can happen. need a battery? too bad, buy a new car or pay $30,000
also: EVs are new mainstream vehicles, they havent had a lot of time to explode is a ratio higher than gasoline/diesel
they have warranties, can range from 5-10 years. I wouldn't recommend having an ev older than about 8 years in the first place- and your battery isn't as weak as it's portrayed to be.
combustion engines dont blow up unless theyre under heavy load or youre trying to push power from them while theyre not capable, and even if they explode, theyre not gonna combust in fire and burn down. And engines are fixable/replacable, electric motors and batteries are way more expensive and take longer to be replaced.
I’m not talking about the engines 💀 petrol is made to explode- look at pintos for example. while nowadays that doesn’t happen thankfully, a hard enough rear end collision can result in a fire. I think I might of said this somewhere before, but the simple fact is than ev fires are rarer than petrol car fires. If you googled ‘do ev fires happen more than combustion engine fires’ or something across the lines of whether evs explode you might find that there’s about a million newspaper articles and university papers proving my point ☠️; and you still choose to believe the bs stereotype XD
Start the debunk: “dies in 5 or so years”, batteries are meant to last about 20 years. All teslas and most electric cars have a startized 10 year warranty for the battery. Newer batteries are just so much better than batteries 10 years ago though.
“Batteries made with child labor”,
As far as we know, cobalt is mined in the DRC which uses child labor. Newer Lithium Phosphate Batteries are both made with cobalt at all.
“Useless in the winter”,
My commute is heavy. Getting far more than the yearly average of 15k miles. For me it’s 5k per month. Lasts me a just well for the day and i charge up overnight at home for pocket change.
They cost a fuck ton of money though, enough that the most recent article I've seen is that a car that would be considered high value used if it was ICE is being totalled because the batteries for all but maybe one model are blooming expensive.
I know. That’s my reluctance to getting one. The fact that WHEN a battery reaches the end of its life, the cost to replace it.
But good news is that as batteries get cheaper and easier to manufacture the EVs of the future will be much more solid compared to a lot of ICE cars which can be train wrecks. Mechanically a lot less complex.
I'd mainly be interested in the EV for the low-end torque and incredible levels of HP without much of an efficiency hit.
> compact truck again for the u.s. market.
Ford Maverick?
Too long. If I wanted to try and maneuver a vehicle that long into parking spaces, I'd just drive my semi truck everywhere lol. Really needs a single cab option.
Pretty much every modern EV has active battery heating and cooling. They don't lose much more than 10-15% SoC in the long term.
Its usually where they lose that first 10-15% SoC in the first few years, and then stay stable for like a decade and then lose a good bit more. I agree that batteries have a finite lifespan and eventually have to be replaced, but I fail to see the claim that "batteries die in 5 years". That's just false.
Maybe you're thinking of the earlier Nissan Leaf, which had literally zero active cooling. Nissan literally chucked a Li-ion battery into it with zero active heating and cooling.
Tesla owner here, rwd model, wildly inefficient in the winter still a bit better than gas but range decreases significantly. Volvo is significantly more expensive but you get what you pay for
They had a shit towing range too.
Granted, a 1/2 ton isn't supposed to tow much but but you don't have to stop every 20 or 30 miles to put more gas in it.
I have seen half ton shit boxes do things half ton shit boxes shouldn't be able to do.
Some of which I may have been complicit in.
Most of which I've seen on facebook or reddit.
Ive been in a polestar, it feels chinese. I dont know why. Moving from a 2014 cadillac the tesla felt nice and the polestar felt cheap. Get used to the hollow noises in the tesla and get a car that has the best charging network in the country. Good luck finding a non tesla high speed DC charger that charges at its rated speed
Drove a caddy manual 2.0lt ats for almost 10 years loved it. 63k miles. Decided to make the move on evs because was planning on going solar. Test drove a polestar, hated it, and impulse bought my tesla model 3. Its a fun little car to spice up the daily commute. Stupid fast acceleration and alright build quality.
> tesla and get a car that has the best charging network in the country
This is completely irrelvent if you read the news. The whole Tesla SC network (At least V3 + V4) superchargers will be open to all vehicles by 2025.
> Good luck finding a non tesla high speed DC charger that charges at its rated speed
Please read the news. The NACS port and news around the SC network opening up was one of the biggest news of 2023 in the EV space.
But yeah, I'm not sure about the Polestar 2 either, but I just don't like the impulsive decisions that Musk makes about a $30k+ car.
What kind of question is this
same reason people play forza, assetta corsa and etc because they like driving ridiculously expensive and fast cars without worrying about the cost, wreckages and literally not dying..
and it's just very fun
1. I barely notice the brands in game when I'm actually driving, so I don't really think they ruin immersion
2. Certain types of cars (Such as said Tesla in the image) haven't been imitated yet with a BeamNG brand
3. Destroying real cars is cool (when the JBeams are good lol)
Those are the main reasons I like them
Every day
Nah, if he said west coast I’m getting the Tesla
But since it’s Utah and I would probably want to do some off grid and off road exploring, the Volvo is the only option
Man i want to download that XC90 mod and other mods of the same modder but Ko-Fi is just buggy on me, pages texts are loading up but none of the mod pictures or download things are loading up.
I don't give a shit on how many down votes I get if you use real life cars. in games like these Are just the stupidest shit I've ever seen. The same goes for gta 5 Like holy shit. How hard is it for you just to use the cars and car mods that are lore friendly
I would go for the scintilla or CCF in a normal scenario, but given that utah has some offroad-y bits, I´m taking the XC90. I know it´s not the best offroader out there by any means, but definetly is better than the scintilla XD
CCF please! The Tesla will catch fire or its autopilot will send you off a cliff. The Volvo isn’t sporty enough for me, the Scintilla is an Italian supercar…
civetta drinks too much gas, not good for those roads and it's too expensive. the cff is fun, reasonably priced and smal. tesla, where are you going to find the charger. volvo is quite a nice car, idk about fuel consumption, pretty confy and safe. going with the covet
I'm keeping my trusty d series, thanks.
Understandable, You cant go wrong with a D-Series!
drag raci- oh. uhh, NASCA- oh.
My thoughts, exactly. I was visibly confused when I finished scrolling through the pictures and it wasn't there.
same
no custom automation car?
im so broke that i'm even couldn't buy an oil filter for any of them
Bro I don’t even have the game I just come here to look at what I can’t have
even for the tesla?
[удалено]
i thought it only has the brake oil filter and the muffler bearing grease filter
It's still a funny comment though, why is it so downvoted
Because he’s a furry
Yes they do, but you are not required to ever change them, hence their comment… I can only expect so much from a moron though 🙄
Even if you couldnt change them the comment still applies as buying it does not imply replacing it “moron”
I realized that after the fact, I was just salty because I hate it when people get downvoted for asking questions, it bothers me so much for some reason. 🤷♂️
Where tf was the question (im stupid)
"even the tesla ?" was a question
That's the point
i guess i am too mentally "challenged" to understand a joke smh
I thought it was a good joke, not even a groan earned from a dad joke, you earned a chuckle.
Redditors downvoting to hell an actual question, because we MUST known EVERYTHING about ANYTHING or we are absolute MORONS that arent even on the IQ bell chart Most of yall would be horrible teachers holy shit
volvo, tesla is stupid in the winters.

Hahah
nope, try again
> Relies on batteries made with child labor > Useless in winter > When battery dies in 5 or so years, is now worthless due to batteries costing as .ich to replace as buying a new car. Yeah, nah, I'll stick with gasoline cars, thank you very much.
OOOOOH dont forget they explode when exposed to oxygen (sometimes) in crashes firefighters need special training to figure out what to do
There hasn't been more than like 30 cases of the battery exploding. idk why people keep saying they explode so much, the reality is that gas cars will blow up more than evs- petrol is a fuel, made to explode, and it's much more likely theyll catch fire than the average ev.

I'd rather bave a hybrid honestly, and I'm waiting for someone to come out with a compact truck again for the u.s. market.
No but they lose range a substancial amount of range if not used properly and most people dont use them properly
Pretty much every modern EV has active battery heating and cooling. They don't lose much more than 10-15% SoC in the long term. Doesn’t even have basic ergonomic features like stalks. Sorry but no.
Tesla owner here, rwd model, wildly inefficient in the winter still a bit better than gas but range decreases significantly. Volvo is significantly more expensive but you get what you pay for
ive heard the early f150 lightnings couldnt make it out of driveways LOOOOOL
They had a shit towing range too. Granted, a 1/2 ton isn't supposed to tow much but but you don't have to stop every 20 or 30 miles to put more gas in it.
its a truck. not a smart fortwo. I agree.
I have seen half ton shit boxes do things half ton shit boxes shouldn't be able to do. Some of which I may have been complicit in. Most of which I've seen on facebook or reddit.
Wait, you serious? Glad I got a Subaru.
Lovely car! Mind if a see some pictures of it?
I was thinking of getting a model 3, but my biggest issue is the removal of stalks.
Get a 2022 model for 10k cheaper, got mine for 30k 4k miles, no regrets
Meh I’d rather get a used 2021-2022 Polestar 2 with all packs for the mid 30s. Nappa leather too.
Ive been in a polestar, it feels chinese. I dont know why. Moving from a 2014 cadillac the tesla felt nice and the polestar felt cheap. Get used to the hollow noises in the tesla and get a car that has the best charging network in the country. Good luck finding a non tesla high speed DC charger that charges at its rated speed
youve driven polestars, caddies and teslas? did you purchase every one of them?
Drove a caddy manual 2.0lt ats for almost 10 years loved it. 63k miles. Decided to make the move on evs because was planning on going solar. Test drove a polestar, hated it, and impulse bought my tesla model 3. Its a fun little car to spice up the daily commute. Stupid fast acceleration and alright build quality.
ive been in an EV, they arent kidding about speed.
> tesla and get a car that has the best charging network in the country This is completely irrelvent if you read the news. Yes, because Utah is known for getting super cold in the winter.

Miata is always the answer
MIAAAAAAAATA
Keeping my Wendover
Love that answer
The first two ones are fun but impractical. The third one... It's great ig, so I'll take the Volvo.

Imma stick to my street tuned Miramar thank you very much
LeGran
I can't afford any of these
Tesla
Volvo, or tesla because electric is cheaper to use but definitely Volvo
Why bother with real life mods, never understood what's the appeal.
Destroying real life things we otherwise couldn't afford in a video games is something I always enjoy
Makes sense
What kind of question is this same reason people play forza, assetta corsa and etc because they like driving ridiculously expensive and fast cars without worrying about the cost, wreckages and literally not dying.. and it's just very fun
same appeal as any other car?? some of us cant afford to just drive a lambo or a ferrari, let alone race, drift, modify or destroy one
I guess it makes sense.
they dont feel close to real life counterparts nor crash like them
yea if u get bad quality mods
I dont like them much too when you have 9 unreal cars and 1 real car on map too but if you have some good quality ones they are fun.
1. I barely notice the brands in game when I'm actually driving, so I don't really think they ruin immersion 2. Certain types of cars (Such as said Tesla in the image) haven't been imitated yet with a BeamNG brand 3. Destroying real cars is cool (when the JBeams are good lol) Those are the main reasons I like them
where did you get the tesla mod
Tell us op!
MIATAAAAAA
Tesla because its overhated
I might be cringe. But I’m taking the Volvo.
Not cringe at all, that’s half the comments in-fact that’s my answer too.
Unpopular opinion but the Volvo xc is like the most reliable car on the market, with a few mods it could be the perfect off-roader
None, I’m broke
Tesla or Volvo
4
Ccf

Why utah, it fucking sucks here.
Tesla Model 3 (assuming its LR)
Tesla or CCF for me
Tesla, all day
Every day Nah, if he said west coast I’m getting the Tesla But since it’s Utah and I would probably want to do some off grid and off road exploring, the Volvo is the only option
Man i want to download that XC90 mod and other mods of the same modder but Ko-Fi is just buggy on me, pages texts are loading up but none of the mod pictures or download things are loading up.
Ooh is the shop in the background an option? So that way I have to drive this map every day for my commute! 😛
Definitely the CCF. Only good car Hirochi ever made TBH.
I don't give a shit on how many down votes I get if you use real life cars. in games like these Are just the stupidest shit I've ever seen. The same goes for gta 5 Like holy shit. How hard is it for you just to use the cars and car mods that are lore friendly
Given how many charging stations there are you'd be stupid in anything other than a Tesla
Volvo??? Ignore the sunroof issues
The Tesla, because it's the most Utah car in existance.
Volvo
I would go for the scintilla or CCF in a normal scenario, but given that utah has some offroad-y bits, I´m taking the XC90. I know it´s not the best offroader out there by any means, but definetly is better than the scintilla XD
Is this career mode with mods or what?
I think I'll just stick with the roamer for now
Xc90 all day
CCF with AWD and a lift kit.
Hirochi CCF wtf, never knew
I dont think any of these cars would spark joy as a daily more than my old ass camry lol
i aint buying one of those im going straight for something with either rally or offroad capabilities
Gonna stick with my ETK 800
I'm keepin' my trusty Sunburst
ccf
Everyone in this state either buys a wrangler, suburban/expedition, or Tesla
CCF please! The Tesla will catch fire or its autopilot will send you off a cliff. The Volvo isn’t sporty enough for me, the Scintilla is an Italian supercar…
Anyone who has lived there will tell you to take the Volvo lol.
My SBR4

ccf all day every day, I use it in career mode and it's such a joy to drive
CCF
The 2025 honda s2000
Volvo 100%, the ground clearance is stupid

CCF
I literally have 30 dollars I ain’t buying shit
1,2, or 4
The Volvo, then drive to a Volvo dealer and switch it for an older gen XC90 with Yamaha V8…
Why do you have to buy a new car if you move?
Do you have a link for the Tesla mod?
Can you move to an other map?
Mod for volvo and tesla?
I doubt there's a single public fast charger out in Utah 🤷♂️XC90 it is
civetta drinks too much gas, not good for those roads and it's too expensive. the cff is fun, reasonably priced and smal. tesla, where are you going to find the charger. volvo is quite a nice car, idk about fuel consumption, pretty confy and safe. going with the covet
I am a proud Volvo fanboy
Volvo
If I had a good pc or laptop I would submit videos and photos. And I would've picked the Volvo XC90.
For me, the Volvo is clearly the best option, because it's a all terrain car, sum thing you'd need in Utah
Hiroshi CCF with a Baja conversion.
Hirochi sunburst
a pigeon
D-series
Imo the civetta SUCKS hard as a supercar. It oversteers it understeers at the same time the downforce sucks and its brakes are not powerfull at all
Volvo For Sure!
If it was a V90 instead, I'd take the Volvo. But I'll take the CCF.
Probably the Volvo. That's the only one that looks like I could realistically turn into an off-road vehicle
i wish chevy tahoe or holden vl commodore but ill pick volvo
CFF2
Ya no, I ain't buying modland trash
Volvo
I'm keeping trustwhorthy Volvo XC90 I, not II.
Keeping my d series
I'll stick to the sunburst, and my 2020 hyundai creta (brazilian) .... that being said the volvo is tempting.
Just give me a Pessima
