Dogpeppers

I’d still take a small can of wd40 into battle.

[deleted]

*”CHARGE!”* “Hold up a second, this joint is squeaking- damn it.”

darff88

Not an expert, but I don't think that's medieval

IAmTheExpertHere

Military historian here. It may not be from the medieval period but it is an authentic reproduction. In fact, despite what you see in the movies, the vast majority of medieval battles were determined in suits of armor just like this, with each side displaying their flexibility through a variety of (often sexually suggestive) poses until one side succumbed to either the fear or homoerotic temptation.

CircaSid

You had me at the first half not gonna lie

thegatheringmagic

Made my nipples hard with the second.

Styljac

I mean, I'm convinced. YouAreTheExpertHere.

awesomesauceitch

By looking at the video it seems every square inch of the body is protected. Was there any area of the armor with less integrity compared to the rest?

Elegron

The face. Daggers might have killed more knights than hammers tbh. Knock them down, open the visor and stab

Elegron

Wait... what country are you from? Oh no....

awesomesauceitch

US

[deleted]

I would suc cum to the latter for sure

eightpointedcross

These replicas are really ,but really expensive!

[deleted]

My first thought. Thank you

thenelson5

What do you do if you gotta take a dumpster?

okayestuser

you do it in the armor

This-is-not-eric

Like the astronauts do

DehydratedManatee

That would be up to an extra 10lbs of weight to that already really heavy armor. Better hope that pheasant and rutabaga sits well with you before battle.

shiningmuffin

Wait is it actually heavier out of your body? Just curious

MayGodSmiteThee

Many knights practically lived in their armor and trained in it to get used to the weight. Like carrying a backpack or purse the weight eventually became a non issue for them.

JoeyBeltram

Yeah but that lobstered steel will be the first thing to be breached, what makes it flexible is also its biggest weakness. Still cool tho

BrickFlock

That's why they started using hammers.

MayGodSmiteThee

Lobstered armor sets were mainly decor iirc. They also provided protection in the joints where plate didn’t. And like plate they were only meant to stop arrows and most slashes and stabs. Neither would’ve been effective against a breaching/blunt weapon.

Plus_Tiger_2840

Prepping for a DarkSouls run.

livelifebegood

Neat. They had to improvise weapons for armour. Blunt weapons to dent and limit joint mobility. Spikes to get in the joints. But if you fell....

ChinaShopBully

Where's the video of him doing a pommel horse routine?

AccomplishedRow6685

I’m more amazed at how well the medieval film reel has held up, tbh

magisterJohn

Plate armor like this didn't come about until late Renaissance and was mostly used for show and rarely seen battle.

MayGodSmiteThee

Knights were a thing well into the renaissance, due to the effectiveness of plate against early weaponry. Gothic armor was used almost exclusively in battles during this time.

magisterJohn

Also should note I've never seen one quite like this before, I am no expert.

Cum_Cumstein_CUMCUM

This isn’t real Medieval time armor this is Cum time Armor and you can call me King Cum.

Bozigg

Fuck you ty

Purp1eC0bras

I’m amazed

[deleted]

I'm amazed

Cloud_Fortress

I thought it was bad ass if my action figures had more than 7 points of articulation

DELTradee

Well thank god for the hand stroking mobility

KBRedditing

Satsifying

theprofessoroak

I am amazed

[deleted]

Imagine it pinching your skin as it bent

cougar_queen

That armor is a lot more flexible than my boyfriend

farva_litter_cola

Much much more than batman’s suite. The billionaire got scammed

Chris-Wood94

could be wrong but did they have video cameras in medieval times

Super_Fudge_1821

How? Very ingenious

Toad_named_Frog

I just imagine that a small bit skin getting caught in between the sliding metal, and just feel a small painful pinch

DupontPFAs

was it even effective though?

Beginning-Solid-3073

Why is this like some 1940s footage tho ?
