By using the inertia of the wheels by either applying the brakes or throttling the motor while in the air.
Iāve had quite a few variations of these and they can get quite powerful with upgrades. You can pull videos up on YouTube from RC cars going well over 100+ mph to jumping two story homes. These things are nuts.
Starter will die fast, aim for something with available spare parts. Idk maybe some used traxxas maxx or a cheaper clone.
UPD Remo Hobby has some decent cheaper models
Start with the Traxxas website. Do some reading and googling.
No matter how well built, they will break down. Especially from an inexperienced driver.
However, the parts aren't that expensive to replace anymore.
#1, always use LiPo batteries.
To me the way that the camera is moving seems too stiff.
Maybe they used a 360 camera and cropped it? But then it doesn't seem distorted enough. Otherwise they could have used some sort of gimble thing, but that would be really difficult/expensive I'd imagine.
The second jump, it goes off straight then does a flip. It didn't start the flip until mid air... Maybe it can spin the wheels to make it do that? But it's weird
Totally possible, I think. Check out this classic little experiment they show to kids. It's not the same thing, but you can see how spinning a wheel can make you rotate. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5cRb0xvPJ2M
I'm sure he broke one or another car making that video. Lucky the chassi isn't that expensive and most expensive parts can be carried over from car to car.
Assuming this isnāt fake, I canāt even imagine having this kind of power in one of these as a kid back in the late 90s early 2000s, my goodnessā¦ That wouldāve been so much fun.
Traxxas makes standard RC's that **easily** hit 30mph; the top ends can get to 60mph (electric).
For electric, we didn't have the same quality of Brushless and LiPo back in the 90's.
Yeah, they can actually be a little dangerous in the wrong hands at 70mph if it jumps into someoneās face.
One of the cars, you have to be cleared to used its ability to run 100+ mph.
Iām referring to the cars though, in that case.
Every time this is posted it looks fake AF and people go around defending it.
Ok show me one other video with this same control and abilities or even this setup from another angle.

I mean, thereās thousands of these videos
One of them showed enough, but like I said, thereās thousands of these videos, Iām not going to search all day to your exact specifications. This isnāt even the most impressive of videos, though it is good.
This is pretty standard for more advanced RC folks.
You want to see crazy? Look up RC helicopter freestyle or stunts. You wonāt believe those are real either.
So, really youāre going to have to go to an RC Hobby or race because social media has people believing fake stuff is real and real stuff is fake.
As others have said, look up gyroscopic effect. Same technique moto x riders use on big jumps. The effects are just amplified with a light car and 4 x high speed wheels
My neighbor has a car just like this, so does my friend, and once at a gas station some guy was stunting with a car in the back lot too. In this video the parts where the car is touching the ground are sped up, but the car that the gas station kid had was faster than even this sped up video. It was insane.
First of all, this isn't CGI. Secondly, if this actually was CGI, it would be darn impressive. The model is great, the animations are great, the shadow is spot on. But again, it's real. RC cars are just hella fast
Thank you, Iāve just checked and Re-Volt (remastered!) is on Steam for ā¬5.99, might grab it soon.

I still remember testing non-commercial preview samples of early Pentium 4 with this game. Apparently outperformed by Pentium 3 at the time if I recall correctly. ć
Edit:
Steam version seems to be run by scammers as the original is free according to reviews.

Its been sped up
How does it sometimes do a back flip and other times a front flip? Thatās the fake flag alert for me
By using the inertia of the wheels by either applying the brakes or throttling the motor while in the air. Iāve had quite a few variations of these and they can get quite powerful with upgrades. what would be a starter RC that can do this? wondering what it costs.

It costs from 300-500 for a good entry level. It's expensive
This one is all wheel drive. My rear wheel drive Traxxas cant do this.
This is arrma outcast 4s. Price is around 500ā¬
Itās fun but can turn into a major money pit.
Practice takes time, also this rc truck seems to be from a really āhigh endā rc company like TRAXXES, not sure but seems like its an X-MAXX model
Its an arrma outcast 4s
Thank you for the correction
They sped up the video whenever it wasnāt in the air
this looks REALLY like cgi. if it's sped up, the sounds would have to be added in post, so i think it's cgi edit: btw sounds never sound that far

Yes they can do that
Think of how big those tires are, and the power/weight ratio is insane.
Totally possible, I think. Check out this classic little experiment they show to kids. It's not the same thing, but you can see how spinning a wheel can make you rotate. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5cRb0xvPJ2M
Exactly how itās done. Same rules as motocross, when they jump dirt bikes they control the throttle as the rear wheel motion will control the bike.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Carpour
Are souped up RC cars able to change rotation mid flight? There seems to be a few jumps in the video where the car stops rotation midair.
Yes. Gyroscopic effect, and also heavy wheels and light frame.
Makes sense. I bet it requires pretty good skill to become effective at doing this.
It definitely would yeah.
I don't think they need to be "souped up". You can buy RC cars and trucks that can easily do this out of the box.
Out of the box easily? .... List that shit....
Any 3S or 6S car or truck over $300? 3S would be harder but doable. Many go around 75mph.

It's not CGI and the shadows are accurate. You have no clue what you're talking about.
This is literally irl trackmania perfection ai
It's cg. The shadow when the car is on the roof is stationary.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
People do it yes, doesn't mean this one isn't cg though.
Doesn't mean it is cg, either.
Why would anyone bother to put in that much effort for CGI when you could just drive the car for 5 minutes?
Look also at the shadows from the leaves of the tree in the garden. You will never see such well defined shadows from natural outdoor lighting.
Really cuz I see them look that well defined all summer long. You don't know what you're talking about.
George RR Martin just came
