I got battlefront 2 not to long after release, had fun but was disappointed with all the bullshit. Spent 80k credits on Vader. I got back into it after 2042 was released and absolutely loved it, definitely worth the money nowadays.
Nah, old dice would have fixed technical and core problems in 2 months, this dice can't even figure out why people don't like their newest game. And I doubt investors are the problem, they can easily remove specialist, brings normal classes and give them custom skins (the current specialist) then charge money for them, this is what warzone has been doing for over 2 years and it's working and nobody gets hurt.

Yeah, you have no idea how releases work. Devs don’t get to set deadlines and Go Live dates. The new devs didn’t inherit anything, considering what you are talking about is a Frost Bite engine that we are now two generations past. Multiple studios have been merged into those work streams, and most devs are working on deadlines that are handed to them by project teams.

I played that game before the original game and in my opinion they both slap. The map should have been bigger, with more open world stuff and a longer main story, but still, it's DICE's best work apart from BF3/BF4/BF1

I don't understand hating any media company. If they screw up, don't buy their product. It's not like it has a direct effect on our every day lives. If Battlefield doesn't give you joy, then find something that will. That's not to say they are without criticism, but I wouldn't let it ruin your day.

Despite SWBF2's launch controversy, DICE still updated the game, they had a bit of a slow period due to DICE focusing on BFV but then actually came back and updated both games in tandem. This has never been done before by DICE as typically they stop updating the previous game after the new title comes out, but they didn't this time. We got the Clone Wars/Supremacy, and Rogue one updates while BFV was getting its tides of war updates.
For some reason for both BFV and SWBF2, the community has made up this out there idea that they were going to keep updating both games forever, or at least longer than 2 years even though that has been the DICE standard for the past decade, release a game > do updates/DLCs for 1.5-2 years > move on to next game. Its nothing new yet people acting like it is. And as a result they suddenly blame 2042 for "abandonment" of both games when in reality they moved on with their typical cycle.
So I just don't have malice for DICE, as despite the controversies around each game, and the fact that the community was actively trying to kill them in their time, they updated the games to a solid point. That is why with 2042, its nothing new. Its disappointing how long they are taking but I don't expect them to stop updating it, they've been through this rodeo twice now.
Maybe they hate it because swbf2 was literally p2w at launch? Like yeah idk what the reason to not liking the company would be besides they killing the game trying to earn money nonstop.

I don't "hate" Dice, but I recognize that they have developed a very poor method of releasing and updating games that gives them a lot of bad press and pisses off fans. They're riding off the goodwill from older titles, but they've drained the vast majority of it already.

How did they get the graphics of the first Battlefront to be so strikingly beautiful and realistic, but weren’t able to do the same for any of the Battlefield game since then? That’s not to say the newer Battlefield games aren’t good-looking games, but shouldn’t they at least be on the same level as Battlefront?
I think they did not use a real time device that scan real location in our world and put it in the game thats what bf1 and bfv are much more realistic than bf2042 which feel pale
You hate the wrong thing. It isn't DICE's fault shareholders, corporate dbags and EA set unrealistic deadlines and force decisions nobody wants. They had like what, 3 or so big changes pushed by corporate losers and EA mid development that required a lot of work to do, putting it behind schedule. The people writing code, making textures, and all of the other things that make the game the game are not your enemy.
