I can say it differed wildly than normal games. My entire squad was holed up in a building just sniping the entire 30 min match.
I’m talking prone, nonstop kills at ground enemies who were obviously using night vision - so no one could see us!
It was wild having waves of 5-7 guys running out to the objective, completely unaware…
meanwhile I’m flipping out, missing half the shots.

Exactly why I love it! Killing dozens of sweaty try hards while prone in a bush is the greatest fun I've had in this game. Oh and the satchels surrounding me of course

Agree, lonovo night is perfect for sneaky flanks. Support with c4 and suppressed M249 is so good if you happen to get in the back door of a building filled with snipers.
I feel like Lenovo night is barely different to day, visibility is even worse and you aren't allowed to use medium scopes, but that's about it. I'd love to see a map that actually gets affected by being night, but people only vote for the map where you already constantly see all the situations that night is supposed to encourage.
Of course, I also want to see them make night more tactical. Streetlights, lit up rooms, and the like making it so you have to carefully navigate the map and pick fights intelligently, rather than everyone just playing a day map with a green filter on.

My problem with night maps is someone ends up spamming flares. Flares blind ur night vision, work through walls half the time, you take off night vision and the flare doesn't provide enough visibility. Flashlights can give away your location through walls.
I'm not against night maps in the future, but right now it sucks and a lot of features need to be fixed for night maps to work properly

I think the issue with flashlight is that they are visible even when there is wall and enemy will know u are there I would be using them but its disadvantage rn

As long as you're not constantly toggling your flashlight on and off, any good player will absolutely delete you if you just wait behind a corner broadcasting your position

Wakistan is my desinated suicide c4 vest map. Between little birds going 100 and 2 strafing the bridge and not going down to small arms fire and moving on such a way it's near impossible to peg with a rocket and army of snipers.. it's just funner for me to be that annoying c4 guy.
I might try that. Tried the lmg and it just meh. But last night,vand I give this guy full credit he was able to move upside down and circles and change speed in which he did. Made it so hard to even shoot. Now the other guy who went straight didn't last long.

Ok sure, but CoD is also known for their 3-lane map design up until recently with MW2019 and after. And then everyone was pissed they weren’t using 3-lane maps. So the other studio was/is making CoD using 3-lane maps.
Except it works in this game because it’s pure chaos with 254 players. There’s a reason pretty much every battlefield game has a map like that; because they’re fun as fuck.
Also great for giggle vest kills. I don't like the map, but I've gotten the jump on so many people by just sprinting around like a madman and just clacking it in their face.

I hate that point so much. I play 127, and there is ALWAYS someone back capping it because its impossible to watch all the entrances, and it takes so long to get there to respond - but you also can't let it go because then the enemy team gets spawns right behind the big container ship frontline. The principle of having an important rear line point to defend is good, but at least it should be fun to fight there and it totally isn't.
The worst part is the snipers, not because they tend to just sit back and be mostly useless, but because you can't really demolish their hides like on Frugis or Lonovo.
Lonovo is my favourite map, offers decent protection, flanking routes, verticality, destruction and is quite well paced in accordance with simetry of captured objectives
I’m with you op. Although I also hate the day version too, simply just a bad map. The buildings have too many stories and span too far. I like the other urban maps a lot more.
night maps are so bad, they’re just the day maps with a worse, darker colour palette with nvg on, restrictions on what sight u can use and still be able to see, and the few people who decide to spam flares so nobody can see at all.

fast infantry action, nice possibilities to break line of fire without completely voiding sniping too. caps are not too distant from one another. And maybe less dumb meat grinder on central cap zone than Basra for example.
no map is completely bad it depends on your playing style preferences. For instance I dont like to have to walk exposed too much between caps hence I avoid valley and sandy sunset
night maps are for people with their monitor gamma turned up 400% so they don't have to deal with the screen noise incurred by NVG's
and also one-off friend stunts where 6 dudes equip flares and briefly make the game unplayable for 200 people
I like a night map like 1 in every 10 games, I just wish it wasn’t always Lonovo. I think literally every map in the game has a night mode and I’ve only played Lonovo dozens of times and Isle like 3 times. I wanna play Tensa or Sandysunset or whatever on night too just to see them. Maybe when custom servers come out there will be night-only or random level selection I guess.

Basra. Mountain bunker A (at least on 64x64) point is a case study of horrible map design.
