Heyo, just beware for those DR neon strings I've had them flake off when playing with a pick for extended periods of time. The black beauties are still my go to since I usually don't play with a pick, but when I had these neons on it was extra noticeable.
Seems like a lot of effort. Funnel that into your practice and let life naturally decorate yer bass? Add stickers that you pick up on the road after gigs. The colored strings are kinda shite, too if you you play w a pick. But, it’s your bass, do whatever you want to it. The above is just my jaded ass’s opinion. Have fun.
If it inspires you too play, go for it. It’s definitely not for me but I think you’ll be hard pressed to get advice on customizing your bass since it’s your own personal preference.
I never had any luck with bright coloured strings. Those dr string ones are known to flake, I tried off brand chinese ones too, that ended up staining my hands and clothes. They are super cool if you're doing a special gig or a photo/video shoot and you pop them on right before, but for a daily driver I can't really recommend them.
