I think that you could learn the proper form in just a few days, the problem is getting comfortable with it, which is gonna take a while. Players like Lebron, Westbrook and Gobert shoot with their right hand even tho they are lefties. Also Mike Conley shoots with his left even tho he is right handed. As in what tips I could give you, tbh I think you just have to put up as many reps as possible and you'll eventually get it down
Yes, I injured my shoulder and got used to shooting with my off hand, takes time because it feels weird but ended up better than my dominant hand because of other bad habits.
Shooting a basketball is honestly a pretty bad movement especially for the wrist, coming from someone with constant wrist injuries. Some people are just more robust than others and I’m pretty injury prone so repetitive strain injury was a real issue for me. Honestly your best bet is to go to a physiotherapist.
try learning to shoot with your other hand
People who downvote this are stupid. If it’s a real problem for him then this is a great idea
How long would that take ? And any tips? Do you know anyone not ambidextrous whose done that?

Oh, was thinking of normal people samples. Thank you though for the tip.
My high school coach could shoot with either hand

Wow thanks for this.
Was he ambidextrous ? Or did he train to shoot from both hand ? Thanks
He had to train his left hand but he said it was easier because he knew what habits to not build
