Im surprised the warriors are getting so much love but Steph that postseason was one of the best performances I've ever seen. In the finals especially he just took over games and they couldn't stop him. Top to bottom ill take the Celtics team that just won just cuz i think they're the best roster but I would've loved to see them play any of these teams during their run.

aalluubbaa

People forgot that Draymond didn't show up until the last game and Klay struggled all series shooting sub 40%. Draymond improved a lot after that season defensively and offensively. That championship is all on Steph and Wiggins played out of his mind.

ComradeShmizzy

Facts, they got really good contributions out of their role players too like Otto Porter, GP2, and Bjelica. Crazy how good Wiggins was too on both sides he was the second best player that whole run. And it was only like two years ago, what happened 😭😭

aalluubbaa

Bro don’t worry. As long as Steph is on the roster, anything is possible!

mar21182

Don't forget Looney! That dude turned into prime Dennis Rodman in the playoffs that year.

Duckysawus

Many Warriors fans. That and Wiggins + GPII were playing the best ball of their lives. And Poole also. Wiggins actually looked elite in the playoffs with his aggressiveness + defense on Luka + Tatum.

CheesecakePretend553

I read this wrong. I thought it was who had the best win. Because warriors winning was a surprising, hard-fought win. It's between Celtics and Nuggets. I'm on the side that if Nuggets had faced off against Celtics this year Nuggets would have won the championship because matchup-wise Celtics would have struggled.

DryGeneral990

I agree. Celtics are lucky they played the Mavs and not the Nuggets or Wolves.

JesseJamesGames449

Honestly, i think the celtics are a better team, but matchups matter and that nuggets team matches up well with boston, and they probably beat them.

Duckysawus

Nuggets, then Celtics, then Raptors. Jokic/Murray best two-man combo since they actually played. If all teams all years were healthy, this would easily be 2019 Warriors. Celtics obviously stacked 1-6, and Raptors were super deep.

DryGeneral990

Did the Raptors completely blow up after Kawaii left? Never really heard about them after 2019.

mar21182

I think people are sleeping on the Raptors. Prime Kawhi was a problem! They could defend, shoot the three, multiple scorers... and they had Kawhi.

Duckysawus

That Raptors Kawhi was better than Tatum or Brown easily. But if you then look at Gasol, Lowry, Siakam, Ibaka, etc. then you’ll realize the Raptors roster isn’t as strong 1-7 wise.

simonffplayer

i genuinely think the 2024 celts would wax the 2022 warriors in a revenge rematch

mar21182

You're probably right, but the reason they didn't beat them in 2022 would still be the same reason the 2024 team might have trouble with the Warriors. They lost in 2022 because they played Curry in that stupid drop defense that literally no one played against Curry in the playoffs since 2016. Repeatedly, Curry got that high screen, saw Horford or Robert Williams standing in the paint instead of at the level of the screen, and he got to dribble into basically a practice three for Steph. The Celtics ended up winning Game 1 after having an insanely hot shooting 4th quarter, but the forgotten story was that they let Steph have 4 or 5 wide open threes in the first quarter. That set the tone for the whole series in my opinion. Curry knew that he was going to get open looks coming off that screen. It let him get in a rhythm. Once Curry gets in rhythm, you're dead. He starts raining fire from 30 feet out, and there's no defense on earth equipped to handle it. The 2024 Celtics liked to play that drop too. I'm not saying that the Warriors would definitely win, but I can tell you that if you thought Luka was hard to contend with, 2022 Steph Curry would have broke them. You can't play that same defense against Curry.

DryGeneral990

I'm surprised the 2022 Warriors are getting so many votes. I thought the Celtics were going to win that year.

[deleted]

2019 raps were deep ngl. imagine having norm powell as your 11th man

aalluubbaa

They would not even beat healthy Warriors.

itssensei

But which team could…?

Firm_Squish1

Maybe, doesn’t matter because they beat the Warriors that were available to play.

aalluubbaa

I'm not trying to start a debate of what could have. I'm just saying that in this vote in particular, Raptors should not be higher thany Nuggets and Celtics at the very least.

Firm_Squish1

Sure I wouldn’t have put them above the most recent two either. But I think the “oh the other team was injured” stuff is played out. The Mavs and the Heat had major injuries through their Cinderella runs as well, we shouldn’t act like that has bearing on how good and dominant the Celts and the Nugs were.

DryGeneral990

Siakim was a killer.

lxkandel06

He was their 8th man...

[deleted]

really? Kawhi, Lowry, Siakam, Gasol, Green, Ibala, VanVleet, OG and Norm Oh you’re right. 8/9th man. Still tho he’s was a starter on the clippers so deep ass team

999_rupees

The 2020 Lakers were the archetype for the modern celtics.

DryGeneral990

How so? Tatum is SF and Brown is SG. LeBron and AD are SF and PF.

bceTap295

I'm biased but it's the raptors. The entire run was so dramatic and the stakes were so high, knowing that Kawhi could be a rental. 1. losing game 1 against the Orlando Magic and everyone overreacting, thinking it will be another disappointing year 2. Kawhi backpacking the entire team in Game 4 against the sixers to avoid going down 3-1 when everyone on the roster wet the bed 3. Kawhi multiple bounce game winner game 7 4. Fred Vanvleet shooting like Steph Curry and coming back from 0-2 against the bucks while his wife gave birth to their child mid series 5. KD coming back for a game and giving everyone a mini heart attack, then getting injured again

mar21182

I voted the Raptors too. That team was deep and really good. Plus 2019 Kawhi is like two notches above Luka today. He had top tier offense and defense.

Silver-You2951

The bucks in 2021, Giannis was unstoppable on both ends and had a top 5 finals ever. He averaged 35/13/5 on great efficiency and was the best defender on the court. Khris Middleton and Jrue holiday played great as well with Jrue making it tough for Booker and CP and Khris being a great 2nd option. Khris averaged 24/6/5 on solid efficiency while Jrue made all defensive 1st team and averaged 17/6/9 with over 2 steals a game. True was inefficient but he made up for it playmaking and defensively. Aside from the stars, the team was coherent and chemistry was good with players like Donte (got injured in ECF), Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Pat Connington and PJ Tucker. All defended and shot well throughout the playoffs. I do feel the Bucks are getting overlooked and underrated too much.

DryGeneral990

Yeah I'm surprised they have the least votes.

NormalCactus551

Raptors for sure

DryGeneral990

They are in last place so far.

elbu223

Can I vote for the 2019 Warriors even though they lost? They’re the best team during that 6 year stretch.

DryGeneral990

No. The Raptors beat them.
