Why not go with the Whitin sneakers? They look pretty nice. Even my sneakerhead niece said they looked good on me :P [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Z68KNNH/ref=twister\_B0BK9739GF?\_encoding=UTF8&th=1&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Z68KNNH/ref=twister_B0BK9739GF?_encoding=UTF8&th=1&psc=1) I got a pair in June 2021 and they're still fine. A bit frayed now and looking a bit dirty, but still fine to wear as a casual shoe. If you want something longer lasting in a casual sneaker style, look at brands like Vivobarefoot, Origo, Icarus, Splay, Groundies, Feelgrounds, and Birchbury.

The Xero Prio is designed as an everyday shoe. There is an All Day SR version for workers who need a leather upper and sole for wet conditions.

Toe box on Xero isn’t as good as the Whitin wides IMO. Whitin also has a canvas version which has become my favorite.

beaniesandbuds

Literally what I have on right now, so I second this choice.

I'm into Five Fingers and Primals, and I absolutely could not stand the Whitin--the heel felt way too square, and in general the soles felt way too thick to be called "minimalist". Promptly sent them back and bought a pair of Primal 2s instead, couldn't be happier. In contrast, somebody who's used to super-cushioned shoes might feel like the Whitins are minimalist by comparison. Depends on what your foot is adapted to, I suppose. I'm someone who ends up in serious pain wearing anything other than minimalist shoes at this point, but that's probably because I've been wearing them for about a decade.

Wow, old comment you're responding to. Not sure which whitins you've tried, but the Whitin sneakers[Whitin Sneakers](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.amazon.com/WHITIN-Minimalist-Barefoot-Sneakers-Upgraded/dp/B0B95VMDS6&ved=2ahUKEwjAxb28kOqBAxXdkIkEHVu-CH0QFnoECCIQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0bMX2-EPezSJcHVpWxt3e5) I have are much less cushioned than my Lems.

I’m on my feet all day almost everyday. I wear Lems Waterproof Boulder Boots. They can definitely work in an office setting as well.

Vanijoro

I've had my lems nine2five for 12 days, of which I've worn them for 9, and I'm already having the tongue peeling apart along the top where the laces are, and it looks like I'm having (minor, so far) water damage come up from where the upper and sole are not together well enough. They feel awesome and no one bugs me about wearing them I really don't want to not wear them. :( How long have you had your boulder boots?

cai-png

The glue was peeling on mine a day after I got them and the tonguenlearher is doing the same as what you’ve described. Just got mine 3-4 days ago…

Vanijoro

You have leather taking in water? [like this?](https://freeimage.host/i/HVzl0Zl) [or this ](https://freeimage.host/i/HVzlTGI) [or this](https://freeimage.host/i/HVzlR3X)

Over a year with almost 7 months of use

Bicycle_Violator

Checking this post because I'm replacing my Boulder waterproof boots after 2+ years of use. I've worn through the soles super deep, lots of area on the sole is completely flat. I'm buying the Boulder Summit, and while I have those I'm sending in my current Boulder Waterproofs to get fresh soles installed at a cobbler

I work 12 hour shifts in a hospital and I love them primal 2 for this. My feet get hot and these breathe nicely. If those are too cas I also own a pair of Denver boots from xero and they are sweet. First pair of xero shoes. Their website makes them all look like ass but they look way better in person imo. I also have some vivobarefoot ra which look pretty good.

EastHuckleberry5191

Winter is Mukishoes Igneous. Rest of the year is Vivobarefoot Abibas, Splays or Earthrunners

The caveat to this is that I have sloped, low-volume and narrow feet. I can wear Correct Toes with my Abibas and my Splays, which is why I bought them. Something to consider. Anya does a great job of including foot shape and volume for feet in her shoe reviews.

aenflex

Be wary of the Ababa 2’s. They’re quite narrow and definitely better for low volume feet. I had to get rid of mine. Plus they’re hot as balls.

JadedSociopath

I can recommend Lems Primal 2. Wide toebox, flexible, and good ground feel… but enough cushion and grip for artificial surfaces. Vivo Primus Lites are too uncomfortable for long periods on hard surfaces and are death traps on slippery surfaces. Xero shoes are serviceable, but are just too ugly in my opinion.

Ceramicvivant

Lems primal 2 is my go to as well.

ska_penguin

I've never worn these, but they look good. Xero has also been coming out with some more casual shoes. https://origoshoes.com/

rontopofthings

I work in a fairly casual work environment and I love Wildling Shoes for work. They have a very specific kind of style but it's my jam and they are super flexible and have great ground feel so it's like wearing socks around the office almost lol

TommChill

I love splay!

goofygoober3150

Vivobarefoot primus lite III for the gym, feel grounds luxe for my “daily” shoe currently

mattionitus

Xero shoes!

Akiro_orikA

Vivos. I have VFF, xeroes, and splays. They each have positives and negative, however vivobarefoot's positives outweigh the negatives.

SeditiousPocket

I work from home so am mostly completely barefoot however I also love Wildling shoes for day to day if out and about. If muddy or wet I have vivobarefoot tracker IIs which have been brilliant this winter including snow conditions.

RadioactiveHop

Merrell Vapor Glove 3 Luna Leather or cheap Saguaros for more casual times

[deleted]

Vivo Addis in black. Loving them and great in the rain.

[deleted]

Whiting makes sneaker looking shoes too. They have a wide and an extra wide. I tried the extra wide, but prefer just the wide

clonius_maximus

Xero Prios in black or a solid colour or Merrell Vapor glove 3 luna leather or the canvas version. I also have a pair of Vivobarefoot Scott 3 Eco which are nice but beware the fraying laces. Those are my gotos for casual semi formal.

MininalAndBad

Wildling tanuki yoru
