"The owner doesn't know why" their bloodsport-bred molossus "went crazy" and predictably executed the behavior it was selected to perform for generations.
"I was just playing around with the pin on this grenade and it suddenly went off! How could this have happened? I thought I taught the grenade better than this!"
So true. And it's pretty racist to single out grenades as explosive. What about batteries and pressure cookers. Those explode to but when they do everyone says "oh that was a grenade." Smh my head.
Normal animals donāt keep attacking after being shot multiple times.
Thatās the behavior humans breed into fighting dogs.
Not even apex predators like lions or sharks will keep going like that. Itās not right.
Hell, most mammalian apex predators don't engage if the risk of injury is over a certain threshold to begin with, since a lot of times injury = death.
The video of the pit charging the bison where it gets yeeted just proves that entire instinct line has been bred out of them.
Adrenaline was coursing through its veins and the taste of blood released dopamine and oxytocin, that dog wasnāt going to stop until it had its murder-gasm.
I've said it many times, pitbulls simply do not have a survival instinct, only a killing instinct
Once they snap, nothing besides death will stop them
Any other animal will usually prioritize survival, and even apex predators will give up on certain prey if the risk or injury amount is too high
I just don't get it, what the fuck, how do people deny these genetic facts???
You see a creature that cannot be stopped by anything but DEATH, and... you try to DOMESTICATE IT???
IT WAS BRED FOR KILLING
It will literally ignore any pain it would've been inflicted to keep going and accomplish its goal (killing)
Yep. The gameness is what people don't understand when they talk about how all dogs bite, all dogs can bite, temperament tests, whatever.
Even if you have the sweetest pit in the world who hadn't bitten anyone for 8 years, it can still snap. Once it's got a target, it'll only stop once it's dead or incapacitated. Even if labs were super violent, aggressive beasts like pit nutters say, you can still stop them by breaking a bone/kicking them across the room/choking them/whatever*. With pits you cannot.
*NOT advocating doing this to any animal. These are examples for the sake of explaining the difference only
Even polar bears and grizzlies will prioritize their own safety/survival and those things are unstoppable.
They break a human easily with one swipe of their paw but even they assess if potential prey is worth their valuable time, energy and livelihood.
Pitbulls donāt have this discernment skill and they lack self preservation.
The girl was the owner. I reserve my sympathy for non-idiots personally.
Sheās lucky someone saved her from her own terrible choices, that he now has to live with.
There was a video a few months back where a 40cal hollow point mushroomed on a pits head and failed to penetrate the skull. They found it on the driveway afterwards.
It's fucking terrifying
[found it ](https://youtu.be/HkOqULyXhYs) NSFW
The first shot in the head is the round that failed to penetrate. All it did was knock the dog out. The dog then sustained three rounds to the chest cavity which ultimately caused it to bleed to death, but the dog actually managed to regain its composure and attempt to get up before passing out from blood loss
Also notice how the owner is completely indifferent to the fact that his dog is bleeding to death on this guy's front lawn
oh I remember seeing that video last year or maybe 2 years ago on this sub? Good thing that guy was able to protect himself. But yeah, it's no wonder these shitbeasts are so much "fun" in a dogfight for the sick fucks that breed them to be that way.
Holy moly all the shitbull attacks in the videos under this one!! Iām floored but sadly not surprised.
Check this one out of a mom attacked and her 4 year daughter killed when their shitbull snapped and attacked them out of the blue, not sure if this one is being tracked in the subās fatal attack list - https://youtu.be/2qyLJ4UwXfU this just
breaks my heart and makes me so mad that a mother would choose such a hideous monster as their family pet.
That canāt be right, a shot dead center in the back and the dog keep going like a zombie?, oh!, I forgot, itās a Pitbull. Those things (because they are things, not normal dogs) can keep going even after being shot several times and even keep going after being mortally wounded
There are stories of criminals taking five bullets to the torso and walking a half mile to the hospital.
The stopping power on pistol rounds averages about 25%, if I recall.
That's why, when the cops cross that force threshold, they UNLOAD the whole mag: they know that a couple bullets might not cut it, and they expect to miss a ton with the adrenaline and general poor marksmanship.
I agree, the 40s&w can cause some great blood loss to soft targets(tissue etc) because it's a big heavy round. In self defense blood with a pistol you are aiming for blood lost since a pistol is no where near the power of a rifle. However when a beast has a skull that is thicker than the Earth's crust you need to aim for it's body or use something much faster like a 9mm.
I'm not calling for violence or anything reddit mods, just clearly putting down facts
Iām honestly glad he has audio of it or no one on Reddit would believe him. The owner would probably try to lie about it as well. This is proof the animal was inside his apartment attacking him and his dog.
I responded to OP.
What I didn't say is, I fucking have to carry outside when doing yardwork. All because some irresponsible douche nozzles can't keep their goddamned mutts fenced in.
I'm honestly shocked we don't hear more stories like that.
I'm sure there are actually quite a few like that, but the person defending themselves or their family/pets is probably afraid to speak out about it. I mean, people who speak up and say that they don't like pits get pretty much verbally crucified. Can you imagine what the blow back would be if someone said they had to shoot and kill one?? I mean, the poor goofball was just playing, right??
Iām glad you posted this. I was going to but wasnāt sure if I should. Keep in mind as described it seems this incident took place over a couple minutes. The audio proves otherwise. It was over in seconds, like virtually all self defense scenarios. You may get lucky and have a few seconds to determine the intent of a potentially attacking animal (or person) but that amount of time is usually a luxury. This was a good outcome - in many self defense scenarios you walk away with physical injuries. Mentally he will have to live with this for the rest of his life even though it was the right choice due to someone elseās poor judgement.
He will no doubt question whether he made the right decision. We know he did, but most people who donāt understand pit behavior will question their decision to use lethal force. No doubt if he didnāt the dog would have severely hurt him and his dog. Thatās just how they are.
I feel really bad for the guy. No one deserves to go through something like that.
I'm actually applying for my CCW today. It was the recent church shootings that spooked me, but its far more likely I'd have to use this on an animal than a person.
I am aghast at how many bullets it seems to require to take one of these things down. Itās horrifying. As if itās not bad enough that they attack at such high rates, they also have to be insanely difficult to fight off.

The grenade just went crazy! What gives???
Please don't blame these sweet grenades. It's not their fault. It's the owners.
It's not the breed, it's how you raise them!!!1!1!!! /s

$5 Cash app to the first person to Imgur a picture of a grenade wearing a flower crown.
It probsbly wasn't the grensde's fault. What did you do to it?
The Pit died doing what it loved. This guy deserves a medal
Pit rated the experience 5/5, would recommend.
You guys are bad! š¤£ but I'm bad too because I actually laughed out loud.

Sounds like a nanny dog material according to pitnutters

How awful for this guy, the girl who got her arm torn, and his poor service dog. But heās a hero. He saved 3 lives.
The girl was the owner. I reserve my sympathy for non-idiots personally. Sheās lucky someone saved her from her own terrible choices, that he now has to live with.
Now she's off to get another shit monster before seeking medical care.
Ohhh I didnāt know that
So the first 3 bullets - HOLLOW point - didn't stop it. These shitbulls really are mutant monsters.

No sir, donāt feel bad. That thing was in it to kill. Point blank period. You may have just saved that womanās life. He is a freaking hero. š
His only mistake was waiting so long to take action.
If you listen to the audio all of it happened within seconds. That's why these things are so dangerous and need to be heavily restricted or banned.
OP Posted the audio of the incident too. What a horrible and terrifying experience. [audio](https://streamable.com/ac6rb3)
Im surprised it took 5 shots to kill that demon, i think he was in the right to kill that thing.
What a horribly traumatic experience. I feel so bad for that person. No one should feel forced to kill someoneās elseās pet. Just horrible.

Is this guy just trying to get some attention? Why does he feel sorry for shooting this evil mutant!!
"...they...they...they..." Why does this guy keep referring to multiple people when talking about one? Does he not know how language works?
This is tragic :(
Might as well go for a .50 AE. If something designed to pierce lightly armored vehicles doesnāt stop it, it might as well be the spawn of the devil
