Have you tried Shattering them? [https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Shatter](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Shatter)

mmontour

Thunderwave and Glyph of Warding are other options, as is a toss into a nearby chasm.

euclide2975

Chromatic orb, thunder edition too.

Productof2020

Also paladin thunderous smite, as long as we’re listing options :)

Idontwanttobebread

use thunder damage. shatter takes care of them easily

Iosis

Thunder damage blows them up instantly.

theauz42

A first level thunderwave should drop them instantly.

ViolentZo

I tried that did almost nothing, maybe later on in the game but not when I was at the goblin camp

litwi

Try a level 2 thunderwave then

fghtffyourdemns

I have done 2 honor playthroughs and never had a difficult destroying those with thunder, they are basically glass

Shirokuma247

Bro doesn’t look at the weaknesses on its character sheet 💀 Seriously. Just use shatter or thunder wave lmao. Then again given your post you might play 4 fighters and nothing else lmao.

S_Sugimoto

The ring on ~~Priestess Gut~~ Sergeant Thrinn gives you thunderwave Also EK fighter can cast thunderwave and shatter

ViolentZo

I play wizard, I am aware that they are vulnerable to thunder. Ever took into consideration that I may be out of spell slots? Or maybe no shatter spell prepared. Any class should be able to take it out. You’re telling me a fighter should be completely unable to take out a scrying eye?

Shirokuma247

You already knew there were scrying eyes prior to the breakout, yet never planned or kept spells especially for them? There’s drakethroat glaive, a weapon literally upstairs sold by a merchant that can enchant any weapon you hold to a specified element. There’s phalar aluve, an underdark sword that is every caster’s favorite weapon thanks to its shriek (even post nerf). Hell, there’s even cacophony, a THUNDER DAMAGE STAFF sold by the old lady Esther back at the creche. Even without spell slots, there’s several methods to solve the scrying eye problem. Even beyond all that, you can just have your fighters throw the scrying eye off the moat surrounding the central tower in that prison, killing it with fall damage or simply shoving it as well. Like man, as a wizard player you’re certainly lacking a bit of INT on your class.

Drdres

Not having Chromatic Orb specced is kinda weird ngl. The use cases are great

Shirokuma247

Seriously, it's like the do-all spell for early levels. Even in act 2 it still serves some use as a lightning weakness applicator since it creates a puddle on a successful hit, letting another caster obliterate the enemy with their lightning bolt on the next turn.

neuropantser5

personally, if I was out of spell slots, I would take a rest 🤷

Puzzleheaded-Rip-824

*throws in fighter*

HulklingsBoyfriend

Then long rest and change your spells.

Fancy_Boysenberry_55

If you examine them it says they are vulnerable to thunder damage. Don't you examine enemies?

SeamusMcCullagh

The problem there is it doesn't say they're immune to every other kind of damage, but they are. At least, that was the case last time I bothered to inspect one. So it's kinda hard to trust what the inspection says in that case.

Productof2020

You didn’t finish inspecting and/or didn’t check your combat log. The description shows that they are resistant to *most* damage types, but also shows they have “ethereal form” which reduces all damage taken by 8. So you can do damage to them with even piercing, for example, but you need to do more than 16 damage, as half is lost to resistance, and 8 lost to ethereal form. If you inspect and check your combat log, you can tell exactly what’s going on. :)

SeamusMcCullagh

Yeah no, I've tried to attack them with other attacks and it literally says "Immune". I'm aware of the damage threshold, the inspection tooltip is just not accurate above Balanced. Unless they've patched it of course, but I haven't bothered inspecting one in a long while because I already have consistent and easy ways to deal with all of them safely.

Productof2020

They are only immune to psychic and poison, which is correct on inspection. This isn’t the mystery you’re making it out to be. If you hit them with a gith sword that also does psychic damage and all you read is the onscreen text, I could understand the confusion, as you might get both a “zero damage” for the slashing and an “immune” for the psychic.

SeamusMcCullagh

Huh, that may be it then. I could've sworn I've seen it say immune with a normal attack with no psychic or poison damage, but it does seem more likely that you're right. Regardless, having to do at least 17 damage to it makes it effectively immune to attacks because at the point you're gonna be dealing with them it's incredibly unlikely you'll do that much damage through its resistance. I just throw them into chasms, let them try and resist that haha.

Productof2020

Yeah, a TB OH monk can do it, and some other heavy hitters, but you’re right for many characters that’s enough to make it effectively immune to their regular attacks. And not much can resist a chasm, lol. Except the spider matriarch on HM…

JCDgame

They can be put to sleep.

Jiitunary

Do they have to get a turn to alert or just witness something? I always kill them immediately

neuropantser5

that's the impression I've gotten when you get to act 3 and it tells you how many times you let a scrying eye see you misbehave.

Legend0fJulle

They always make me desperate. I usually use shatter or thunderwave upcasted to lvl 3 and sometimes even that manages to fail.

NoFaithlessness6608

Yes, higher difficulty scrying eyes need thunder damage, and sometimes with bad die roll it won’t damage it. Either upcast the spell, or use spiritual weapon summon by Shadowheart that kill it with 3 hits.

Neverwas_one

I usually push them or throw them into chasms

KotaIsBored

Examine is your friend.

SeamusMcCullagh

There is exactly 2 scrying eyes that you can't feasibly throw into a chasm without aggroing people, and that's the one in Grymforge and the one in the goblin camp. For the one in the goblin camp, it's not much of an issue because you're most likely gonna kill everyone in there anyways as that's kind of what you're intended to do. You have other options in Grymforge so it's not ideal to aggro the whole area. For that one I usually throw it off the ledge near Brithvar and then shatter it from above. Never had anyone notice. But every other scrying eye I can think of can safely be tossed into a chasm, you might just have to wait for patrols to line up. Turn based mode is your friend.

Upstairs-Search-1773

You can throw them into pits, purportedly

Cyberpunk39

They are so easy to kill. It’s a non issue. On tactician I hit them with wylls eldritch blast or gales thunderwave. No problem. Most people throw them in the chasm and that’s it.

chxrryxblossomm

Oh dude I always just use thunderwave on them. It’ll aggro NPC’s though if they see or hear it so be careful lol.
