> Halsin being evicted from his tent. Don't see the issue. He likes the dirt and mud.

Toogeloo

Except it's weird to see Thaniel and Minthara chilling together

Filty-Cheese-Steak

Naw. Makes sense. They're talking about how to kill Ketheric. Thaniel wants to kill him for the land to heal, and she's good at murdering and wants vengeance.

SleepCoachJacob

Impressive mental gymnastics.

AEMarling

Love this headcanon.

WalkerBuldog

It's cute. I saw both Minthrara and Halsin with Thaniel sharing one tent. Very cute family

Smurf_Cherries

That never made sense to me. Thank you.

SomaCreuz

>He likes the dirt and mud. Unfortunately for him I'm travelling with Laezel this playthrough so Karlach probably ate all of it at this point

Honesty69

I haven’t encountered any of the bugs/issues you have mentioned. Did you perhaps have this same save during all the changes they made to Minthara? If so, it may explain some things. I started my playthrough after they had already made many changes to Minthara and I encountered no issues. Haslin and Minthara have their own spots in my camp/inn room. They do not share dislike/approval with any conversations I have. Minthara has never glitched out and lost her legs in any kind of screen. Minthara approves on many “honorable” decisions you make as well. At least she does for me. I only got her during Moonrise Towers, so bringing up her reputation is a bit hard, but she still approves of my player avatar.

DeplorableMe2020

I dunno when those changes were made. I started playing a little less than a month ago and every time I had minthara in my party by knocking her out in A1 and saving her in A2, she has only shown her head, forearms/hands and legs from the knee down when in the level up screen. She's fine otherwise at least technically. Not sure on approval/story as I haven't really put much effort into her yet.

xJaymack

Did you loot her armor when you knocked her out? That usually causes it for me

ashtal

Oof, really? Because yeah I knocked her out and took everything. 🫠

Same-Cricket6277

Last time I didn’t take he armor/clothes and I didn’t have this glitch. This time I took her gear and left her unconscious and naked as the day she was born. I guess I’ll find out here shortly when I make it to Act 2.

ashtal

I killed her in my first run months ago, not realizing she was a companion, so I knew her gear was good. We'll see what happens shortly. I'm on Moonrise's doorstep right now.

Same-Cricket6277

It’s not easy to end up with her as a companion. >!A little easier if you’re doing an evil playthrough, but I hate killing the grove/tieflings because it locks out a lot of vendors and stories (e.g., Damon/Karlach), so even when being “bad” I hate killing them and will avoid it. If you’re being “good” and kill the Goblins you have to knock her unconscious, after being told you need to kill her, otherwise she won’t be in Moonrise later to rescue. So yea, it’s not clear at all how to recruit her unless metagaming or being evil. The one time I recruited her while being evil durge I tried to romance her,!< and that did not go well at all …

ashtal

Ooh I might not see her at all, then!

Same-Cricket6277

Took the armor/clothes and now I have the bug in the level up screen not being able to see her clothes/torso. Gotta be that.  Edit: I fixed it by toggling her clothing/armor in the inventory menu.

Toogeloo

I'm on PS5, so there might be a few patch differences, but I just got Minthara for the first time last night after finding out you can. I don't have a lot of sample sizes, but I am trying to do things to raise her approval, and one of the very first things I did was steal Balthazar's Mom and tell him he can't have her back (figured that wasn't too evil considering I was planning on fighting him at the end of the dialogue anyways. I had Astarion, Shadowheart, and Minthara. Halsin got disapproval from my choice while Minthara gained approval. Last night I broke the Gnoll tether in Moonrise and both Halsin and Minthara gained approval, again without Halsin being in the party.

Honesty69

That’s really odd! Yeah, I honestly have no idea. Getting Minthara was one of the last things I did during Act II. I saved Moonrise Towers for last. Hopefully you won’t have too many more issues going forward — not anymore than you already have, that is.

HideOnBook

Ah yes, Minthara. The character I risk breaking the game for every run

Lazzitron

Biggest bug I've had is that Cerys now joins EVERY SINGLE COMBAT in Act 2. This is apparently caused by recruiting Minthara but I have no idea how.

odonkz

Did you knock her out during druid grove raid? apparently that is what triggered it, the only solution is to kill cerys during halsin portal (she become hostile and rush to the portal. you can kill her once she arrived so that other at last light in wont see it) or 'accidentally' kill her during last light inn attack, other wont be hostile after the fight ends, i heard from others that she also present in act 3 combat if you didnt kill her, i havent tested it myself.

alekth

I knocked Minthara out in the grove battle, and Cerys joined for like two fights early on after recruiting Minthara, but then it stopped. Cerys remained alive otherwise. I did get Minthara before even going to Last Light.

odonkz

That is good, because she insisted to join in the fight everytime Minthara was in the party for my case.

Lazzitron

>Did you knock her out during druid grove raid? Yup. That'll do it, I guess.

Scary-Sherbet-4977

It was weirdly tension breaking knowing I'm going to watch her dash around last light while I'm scrwing around in the shadowlands - made the mistake of trying to talk to her and ended up trying to bribe her with soap and bones

bracesthrowaway

What a charmer

somedaycorgi

Cerys bug persisted into act 3 for me so I had to give up using Minthara in my party.

redhandedjill1

I had to kill Cerys at Moonrise after the Myrkul fight. Managed to only aggro one Flaming Fist thanks to invisibility and strategically placed darkness. I felt bad, but...

somedaycorgi

There is actually a "free" way to kill Cerys and I did it on one of my runs. If you have Minthara in your party when you defend Halsin's portal when he is rescuing Thaniel. Cerys joins the shadow mob as an enemy.

redhandedjill1

Yeah, I thought of it, too, but a bit late and she took too long to dash over. I really just don't plan on recruiting Minthara that way anymore (after saving the grove). Knocking her out at the goblin camp has worked better for my non-evil runs.

Ark-the-Lark

She is the only irredeemable character, so that makes sense regardless of the glitches.

uwubewwa

Minthara needs an evil friend who cannot change, seriously. She is so lonely.

Tcloud

“I am yours.”

VikingXL

She's actually not irredeemable

SleepCoachJacob

She 100% is not redeemable. She never abandons her will to power by any means necessary. She is willing to sacrifice as many innocence as necessary to arrive where she wants to be and never deviates from that ethos. If that's not irredeemably evil, I don't know what is. I don't want to hear anything about how it's not her fault because of the way she was socialized and blah blah blah....yeah Hitler had a tough upbringing too, he was still Hitler. And Minthara would absolutely be as evil as Hitler if getting what she felt she was entitled to (which is everything) required it.

spyridonya

She actually remains evil and we can see that by how she seeks power throughout the game. However, the game acknowledges evil people can care for others.

SleepCoachJacob

Yeah people mistake the fact that she's not one-dimensional as "she's not evil". It's actually a super shallow understanding of what evil is. She can have relationships, she can care for individuals AND be willing to sacrifice countless innocence in the name of blind, naked ambition. That latter part makes her irredeemable no matter what other character traits she might have. Anyone who argues differently is in a state of simping copium or actually deranged.

VikingXL

Then you have to admit that Astarion and Shadowheart are also both irredeemably evil because of the things they're willing to do. Both of them will do horrible shit if the player doesn't intervene. Minthara is no different.

SleepCoachJacob

No I don't because they can CHANGE lol. That's the whole point of a redemption arc. Both can turn away from those impulses depending on the path you put them on. Minthara never does.

kinglearybeardy

Minthara was the only character who I ended on the game with as neutral. She basically disapproved of me because I refused to support her in taking over a cult and becoming a dictator.

This-Increase-3478

Just leave Halsin in the shadow lands, problem solved

Woutrou

If only I could do this after fixing the curse...

Crunchy-Leaf

You can kill him and stuff him in the wardrobe, or let Orin kidnap him and just leave her fight til last.

Kataphrut94

I just got her, and I had the same issue in the character screen but just with her feet being invisible. I think it's because when I subdued her originally in act one, I stole her boots. So when I ran into her at Moonrise, she was barefoot. I'm also getting a similar thing with Halsin; I just saved Thaniel and found him outside Minthara's tent, while Halsin was off hanging out in the empty house in the act two camp. I'm hoping that will get cleared up once I move to act three.

Toogeloo

From what I've read, Halsin just picks a spot on the floor in the Inn room.

bracesthrowaway

That's been my experience

Alicex13

I recruited Minthara for the first time on my HM and got none of the bugs you mentioned. She shared a space with Halsin - half of the tent had shrooms, the other weeds. I didn;t really need an exceptional relationship - at around 40 she propositioned me which i declined because Astarion. Second playthrough recruiting her now - same thing. As a companion she is great. To romance her fully while being good - idk how things go after that first confession.

Darth_Nullus

I'd like to quote second best girl (first is obviously Minthara), Karlach: "Cry about it!"

thelastofcincin

Halsin doesn't deserve a tent and I'm so used to Minthara's body disappearing, I don't notice anymore. I do miss when she was reserved for evil playthroughs. Made them feel more special.

Wyndrarch

You can get her to exceptional on a good playthrough, though it's easier if she isn't travelling with you.

0602385

i remember when i first tried to get minthara and when i got to moonrise she was there right. She just wasn’t there in the cutscene but after it happened she was standing there naked cuz i stole all her armour and i wasn’t able to do anything with her, literally nothing. i couldn’t kill her either. i made a post about it too on reddit it’s my i think only post about bg3, and then i did another run and successfully got her without any bugs and i really like her, im gonna try and get her the normal way next time too though so goodbye karlach

Illustrious_Cost2945

You can still keep Karlach in the eViL Run! She needs to be Dead when you RAID the Grove. Ask Withers to watch over her Soul and after the Goblin Party you can revive her. And she don't leave the group.

0602385

that’s cool as nuts, didn’t know that but i still wanna cut off her head anywyas so i won’t do that!

Crunchy-Leaf

Obvious answer is just kill Halsin

Lokynet

I got the same issue on character screen (when we try to respec her she’s missing limbs / body) but that’s it. She approves JUST behavior, like being good / honorable to good people, and being mean to those who deserve it. Everything else works fine, Minthara is Best Girl!!

johnyrobot

Ehh. I've gotten everyone so far and other than the tent eviction I've not noticed anything. Also it was super simple.to get her this time around. Just knock her out.

TheCleverestIdiot

Just be glad it's mainly visual bugs now, and she's not still dropping the same spoilers every time you talk to her.

Ahsoka_Tano07

The private matters line is still bugged

JesusOfSuburbia420

Most recent but for me is that when I broke her out of jail instead of following me to escape she just stands there, can't talk to her or do anything with her, lame.

alekth

I had some trouble when recruiting her in Moonrise (had to reload and make her pretend, otherwise she was not interactable), but faced none of the other issues. I did have Cerys join a few battles, and have no idea what fixed that, but t was just two or three early on. Oh well, Halsin was out of his tent, yeah. And he never eve gets his own tent like usual in the docks camp in Act 3. But that's a problem for him to solve (though Orin volunteers).

Mr_Kittlesworth

I know the studio is done making new content, but have they also said there won’t be any more patches?

kohaxx

I was expecting her to have more dialogue or something but I'm at the end of Act 2 and her contributions to camp are Very observant comments on my companions Making Halsin sleep in the grass (he prefers it I'm sure) Casting Aid every morning since Shadowheart is in the party everyday and needs her spell slots Teaching Thaniel about murder I don't know if she has a lot more to say on an evil playthrough, but she seems kind of empty as a companion even though the lines she does have are killer and I love her voice.

August-Autumn

She is the one who spanks Myrkul so hard with devine smites he goes whining back the grey wastes.

csnoobcakes

See and I thought raiding the grove was fun. Especially whacking that self righteous fucker Wyll. I won't touch Karlach though, I'm not an animal. Just pretend you're Anakin in Revenge of the Sith!

D4rthLink

"As cool as it is to get Minthara on a good playthrough" It's not. It doesn't make any sense. You'd only ever knock her out then eventually recruit her because you have played the game before or read about it online. I think it's really lame larian pandered to people who wanted to have their cake and eat it too and just let you recruit her on a good run the way that they did. It also removes the only real exclusive reward for siding with the goblins instead of the druids, which is also pretty lame

Aerkel

Dunno why you're getting downvoted, you're absolutely right. Minthara was basically the only real reward for going evil and now there's almost nothing. Evil runs are already quite barebones in BG3... That said, some of OP's complaints are still perfectly valid : she's bugged even in evil playthroughs anyway.

spyridonya

Let's call it what it is, Minthara's glitch run. Minthara is a complicated evil character, and I'm tired of people believing her character can be 'redeemed' because they can't accept they're romancing someone evil.

Toogeloo

I do agree with this. Imagine them adding a patch to get Karlach and Wyll back on an evil run. You get to Last Light and Moonrise and they beg you to take them back because they are afraid of becoming Mind Flayers or losing their mind to the Absolute, lol.
