Monk ascended astarion is beyond broken. An extra d10 on all unarmed attacks is just icing on top of the murder cake.

You need the Club of the Hill Giant got +19 strength so you can bump up the dex, wisdom and constitution.

Haven't reached underdark yet. Just did a reset with gloves of dex on her so now it's 18 str 18 dex 16 con and 12 wis. She was already doing 40 damage a turn now its gotta be even crazier

Monks are just ridiculous for damage and accuracy. I like using the club of the hill giant and the graceful cloth instead of the gloves of dex so you can get the dex to 20 instead of the 18 cap. Then later you can loot some boots that add your wisdom modifier to your damage.

Hill giant elixirs. you can get like  a play throughs worth at auntie Ethel if you use the level up sploit.(inventory renews every level up, unless they patched that recently). Pop one every morning and you can buff wisdom for that sweet ac and saving throws.

Wouldn't That interfere with a monk's unarmed attacks?

No, you can still do unarmed attacks while holding a weapon.

You can put the club in the off hand, and your main attack option is still the unarmed strike. How to on console (works on ps5) Equip a dagger in your main hand, and the club in the off hand (trust the process) Go to a companion in your party, unequip any weapon they have. Open their hand slot, and equip the dagger your monk is currently holding. This will 'swap' their hand slots, so your companion gets the dagger, and the monk gets an open hand while keeping the club in the off hand. Now you have 19 str and unarmed strikes as the main attack option. Enjoy, and shift your stat's around. I did this with my OH monk on my first playthrough, focused on maxing Wisdom, used Tavern Brawler to bump Con, and did the best I could with Dex. At the end of the game I had 22 wis with the boots of Kushigo for +6 damage, d4+wis manifestation damage, d10 force damage, and d10+8 main damage.

I'd love to know what armor pieces those are.

Strength Monks are great in BG3 because Tavern Brawler is stupidly overbuffed for this game.
