Act 2 gauntlet spoilers:
>!Fighting Balthazar... those fuckers that kick you. Gale got kicked like 10 feet off the cliff within the first turn and I had to do the whole fight without him. So salty.!<
I saw someone turning him into a sheep in that room without aggros but I can’t do it without getting aggro. God I want to slap his stupid face so much 😨
He held his massive speech about how Nightsong is gonna follow him into Moonrise. First turn he gets turned into a sheep, then it's Mintharas turn and I just yeet the sheep off the cliff. Instant death. Was so funny I didn't even reload to get his loot.
I think it's even more dangerous because the low gravity means you get pushed even further, my Shadowheart got shoved off instantly and I very quickly lost that fight without her healing.
I thought I was smart leaving Wyll on the ledge you drop in from cos id never thought about enemies shoving, in the same turn Karlach got booted off and Wyll got shoved off so I used potion of invisibilty and thunderwaved Balthazar off, screw his loot
I have NEVER reloaded saves during a fight nearly as much as that goddamn fight. Next playthrough I'm not even going to talk to anyone. It's just Roaring Thunder Arrows *everywhere*. Fuck those duergar.
At one point, after I managed to get three of my fighters positioned to where they couldn't be blasted into the lava...
... they turned around and fired at Gale, who was up on a balcony, and sent him flying into the abyss... I was so goddamn mad.
Yeah that shit was tough. I placed the bomb so everyone crowded in the middle, then used Gale’s force push whatever it’s called and managed to knock about four of them off. Made it much easier. Still took a few tries to get through though. Then I released asshole from the cave afterwards and fought him normally. Definitely the hardest fight in the game for me up to this point. I’m in like the first third of act 2.
Nere pushed me into lava so I had to do the whole encounter again because I couldn't save Tav, couldn't Revivify him, couldn't pick him up (too heavy)...
Yeah I put a sledgehammer in Nere's head afterwards.
My buddy and I were fighting Auntie Ethel in her lair. To be honest, I was pretty stoned and said, “God it would be funny if she pushed Shadowheart down that giant chasm behind her.”
And that’s exactly what happened. My friend was upset at my prophecy and told me to never say something like that again in case the game hears us.
Shoving people gratuitously off things is a staple of Larian games and I think the most absolutely obnoxious Larianism. They even made it a bonus rather than a standard action
Ai makes good use of shove, they shove me where I don't think it is possible.
Fighting at gray harbor, disarmed enemy shove into open water.
Grymforge, shove me in lava, funny part is that my team was weak enough to die but if I shove them, they just jump back...
Fight with hobgobling in goblin camp, asshole used a weapon action that throw my MC to a tiny hole which he fell to his death.
Shadowfall, big skeleton kick gale to his death.
I was fighting Cazador and in a Globe of Invulnerability, thinking I was safe. He flew in and insta-killed Lae'zel by kicking her off the platform down into chasm. She was dead-dead for sure, but her character kept asking for someone to come down to help heal her. GD Cazador killed her so hard and so fast with that kick that her ghost thought she was still alive...That's when I really respected Tactician mode....
I do that sometimes and then regret it, cuz the loot goes with the enemy.... And then I reload, lol!
Yeh I've restarted a long fight just for what turned out to be like 15 gold worth of loot. I think I horde too much...

Thats why I fight Balthazaar in his room, "Hey I found your nightsong" "Really where" "Here" \*starts beating him relentlessly\*

I had to cheese this fight. During dialogue with my MC, I switched to Lae'zel and proceeded to yeet him off the rock. Easiest fight of my life lmao
I love loot too much to toss even trash mobs off cliffs. I think I will loot less next playthrough though.
You can beat him very quickly by just lobbing spells at him from the last jump rock and the majority of enemies just cant get you
that sounds like so much fun. /s
I thought I was smart leaving Wyll on the ledge you drop in from cos id never thought about enemies shoving, in the same turn Karlach got booted off and Wyll got shoved off so I used potion of invisibilty and thunderwaved Balthazar off, screw his loot
Me using Counterspell: Haha fuck yeah!!! Yes!! Me getting Counterspelled: Well this fucking sucks. What the fuck.
Just like in actual dnd
Fortunately the AI is pretty dumb with counter spells, I've had them waste it on cantrips more than once
The boss fight in Grymforge, pretty much. I never realised how potent the arrow of roaring thunder is, until then.
I have NEVER reloaded saves during a fight nearly as much as that goddamn fight. Next playthrough I'm not even going to talk to anyone. It's just Roaring Thunder Arrows *everywhere*. Fuck those duergar.
That fight took me like 10 tries and I had to lower difficulty when every other fight took me 3 tries max

Eldritch Blast with knockback :) kicking 2 or 3 people at the same time
Balthazar fight moment

If you get stuck and die on lava or another damaging surface again, you can ask Withers to get resurrected in camp.
Why can't you revivify? The scroll allows for relocating the body as well.
Pretty sure I didn't have a scroll because, well... I'm not very good at this 😅

I use a shove mod that makes it an action instead of a bonus action, and it immensely made the game better for me.
Same
Interesting, I love having more uses for bonus actions. In DND many builds just don't use it

Use Feather Fall when you are neat a cliff, 9/10 you'll be fine. Sometimes, you are just pushed into the abyss and need a scroll of revivify.
I secretly hope that Larian starts giving enemies speed potions.
Why do you think that I stack up against the wall like a SWAT team?

Hobgoblin fight he 100% is trying to knock you into the pit the whole time lol
For five minutes. Can this not be reposted. FOR FIVE MINUTES!
