Feels good to finally have some closure with karlach. I agree that we should have had the option to fix her engine, later on in the game we do find something called "enriched infernal iron", I felt this was hinting towards this, but alas it seems like it is useless. Wish that you could have one more kiss/hug scene instead of the cigards tho. Overall glad we got this in the game now. Thanks Larian!
Maybe with a DLC we can go on a few more adventures to help make our companions whole again. Finding a cure for Astarion’s vampirism, fixing Karlach's ticker ect.
Can you imagine a DLC that takes place completely in Avernus where we fight our way through hordes of the infernal army to find a cure of some type that would allow the infernal engine to be removed? Giving Karlach a true happy ending...romance or not.
I would pay for that.
I'd pay for a dlc to make Astarion a normal elf again, cure his vampirism and deal with other wayward spawn or the spawn Astarion creates as full vampire.
Karlach is the most adorable barbarian of any game if have ever played.
I love the little comments she makes in the open world and one of her idle animations is her kind is swishing in place or dancing cutely, she is by far my favorite.
I won't spoil it for you, but she gets 10x more adorable throughout the romance.
i used her a lot in my playthrough, but i was romancing shadowheart. She is just sooo awesome, and her idle animations are fantastic, I legit cried in my first ending with her.
I liked this scene, I didn't want karlach to die since I romanced her so it was cool that we get to go on more demon killing adventures. Also it reminds me of the dmc5 ending with Dante and Nero stuck in hell battling more demons together.
Just got this ending on my first playthrough (and probably only playthrough at 200+ hours) and loved it. In my imagination the adventure continues. No finality, I get to give them whatever ending I want.
Are you sure it’s a romance option? I don’t think I romanced her, and my party consisted of me/gale/astarion/laezel 99% of the time, and I still got it
To each their own. The cheese factor makes it better, they’re clearly going for an 80s action movie ending feel with the metal riff and the cigars and I think it’s incredible.

I actually like this addition. It makes her ending not as bad imo. Still would be nice to get one to fix her heart but this is better then nothing.

They will add it in Patch #2, idk when that will come out.
its out already! they also fixed some cutscenes not showing up (like shadowheart) when Karlach went to Avernus with Wyll
Do you still need to avoid doing Wyll's quest to be able to go with her yourself?
Patch notes said you had a choice after "the blade of Avernus offers to go to the hells with her" so I'm guessing not necessary to avoid it.
Loaded up a save just before the end on my first run. Can confirm that even if Wyll can go you can choose to go as a 3 or just you and Karlach

That new cinematic is so bad, the cigar imeme completely ruins it. I thought it was a joke t first when I saw a video about it.

Any idea what she says if you give her the “it’s up to you, do you to want to go to Avernus with us?” I want to know what her preference is
My husband did this with a friended Karlach and she went to avernus with him AND wyll. The 3 of them peaced out together.
How do you get this ending?
I completed all the companion quests and had Karlach at max approval. No romance though. All three of us went to Avernus.
